I just experienced the silk wrap and I have been all natural for over 2 years. I cut all the perm out. My hair has grown sooo fast and is about shoulder length.  People are is Aww of my hair. i always get compliments and when i tell them I am natural the gasp.... i go to the shop and get my silk wrap but now I know I can do it at home.. pray for me...

My hair, is very long and healthly, and in a layered, asymetrical style. At night, I pincurl it, but, my hair has no body. The body in your hair, is beautiful. @anicole1994 You cant keep them straight especially if you have type 4 hair(tightly coiled), you can only keep them moisturized. The point in going "natural" for african americans is to embrace your natural curl pattern, which for us is usually very curly or kinky.
