@VampireofEpicness You can either work out the numbers like I did and use the most complicated priority system I've ever played with, or just work on Rupture > DeadlySaber WITH 30 stacks > Annihilate > DeadlySaber > Vicious Slash. Make sure you always use your 30 stacks when they come up, and do not use Annihilate if you cannot keep the stacks up, its not worth it then.
@memiagaming Thats Beserk, quick question, but do you happen to know of any skippable powers in the annihlate tree? Also what gear were you using in this video?
@VampireofEpicness Similarly to the gear that Bioware offer us, the spec does not have much change to it, and there is very little you can do to the spec - I would consider in a PvP situation, my spec to be the minimum you could take in the Annihilation tree, some people may like to take 1/2 points out of Blurred Speed, but there isn't really anything else they can go into to. I never really had much PvP gear, and the gear in this video is a mixture of Columi/Rakata and Champion pieces
@VampireofEpicness I played through the start of the game, so everybody wasn't that geared so obviously it was different was me, I still think you could live with a full set of Cent/Tio, although I found it alot easier to get Champion than Centurion anyway.
@memiagaming Right, was just curious because people still think sorcerers are awesome, but they are VERY gear dependant and pretty much require people to ignore them to do damage :\
@VampireofEpicness There is truth in that, throughout the time I played my Marauder, I never found a class that could out damage me, a geared Sorcerer would probably be the nearest though, shortly in front of a Mercenary. The main factor with a Sorcerer, is that you can be good at one and do well, but once you master it, you truly have no limits - as your gear gets better you've obviously played more and get better at the class, gear is very important as a sorcerer, but not as much as skill.
@VampireofEpicness As a Sorcerer? That is where the skill comes into play, most players do not understand that alot of the skill in playing a class includes the positioning you use and when you use it - with a Sorcerers skill set, it is very easy to avoid direct focus from more than one person at a time, keep at it and soon it will all become very easy for you.
@memiagaming On ruubat crystal the empire pvpers are HORRIBLE, which probably contributes to my ownage, on the likely chance they eventually let us change servers, which one did you play on?
@VampireofEpicness I played on Bloodworthy, no server is horrible, and if you played on other servers you would realise that the majority of the servers are just as good as each other
What server are u playing on Lid? Respond here or send me a PM, if u still play by then, when they include server switches I'd love to switch and pvp some with you :). (Possibly join Mema guild if possible. And ofcourse, great work!
@LompZor I have currently stopped playing due to running out of do-able PvE content to do, and the PvP not offering a rating system yet - I am a competitive guy and find it hard too play a game without such. I will be starting again when Rated PvP comes out, on the server Bloodworthy - if you still wish to join Memia send me a PM and we can look further into it.
@darklord809 well I will always get top damage done, you just have to control your cooldown's well, don't be afraid to use them, the cooldown is small on most of them. When you get Force Camo and Undying Rage you get alot more utility.
@memiagaming yeah damage thats for sure , i tend to get zerged really fast even with cooldowns at times tho :P but its awsome in annilation . One last thing , i saw you specced the damage reduction talent for force camo , if someone were to get u out of force camo , is the damage reduction buff gone? or still remains , because if the buff is gone i dont think ill take that talent.
@darklord809 I'm guessing the buff is stuck with the force camo buff as one, so I don't think the damange reduction buff would still be there if you get out of it.
@memiagaming yeah damage thats for sure , i tend to get zerged really fast even with cooldowns at times tho :P but its awsome in annilation . 1. Although you can do well through the whole levelling process, your big benchmarks are your Deadly Saber talent and when you get Combat Stealth and Undying Rage, your efficiency will go up at least 150% then.
2. SWTOR doesn't really give you much option, and the stuff you need is on the gear already - Keep to Expertise > STR > Power > Crit
3. Well I did 1-50 in 3 days, and 30-50 in a day and a half its different for everyone
@VampireofEpicness Its really up to personal preference; if you have a naga, make sure you use all the buttons there before you go to the keyboard. Firstly, move around the default bindings to free up room, personally, I move Chat Reply to T, Character to G, I just overwrite the Sheaf Weapon (Z), I also move Strafe Left/Right to A/D and get rid of the default left right movement. Once you have used all the buttons around WASD, start using Crtl/Shift/Alt modifers, whatever feels better.
@darklord809 there are 8 ( I think) on each side of the map, if you haven't got the setting turned on for it to show the fire, they have 4 Corner Posts and a circle on the floor.
I myself play a Sith Marauder, using the Annihilation specc and I must confess that I truly love it :) Sure as Rage and Carnage you indeed do alot of dmg aswell but I believe Bioware did this really well since there are 3 different types of dmg-speccs where one of them arent like the others.
So either you play Annihilation, Carnage or Rage - I believe all 3 of them are really awesome but at the same time you choose after how you want to play the class :)
Hi guys, I've been posting some vids on my channel and am trying to get some viewers and subscribers. The problem is tho, my channel is to small to get high in the search lists and thus get noticed. Therefor I am posting this here (for which I apologise). Please check out my channel and watch some videos and if you like them subscribe. Or help me spread the word. Thanks! TTTT
(Comment posted too early) As rage. Only advantage I see for annihilation is being able to 1v1 heavy amored classes a bit faster. Rage IMO has much superior damage output and saying that a class is useless between it's smash cd is stupid. Force scream+vs still hit for over 2k. Also rage makes killing multiple targets extremely easy.
@Clinda Sorry for not being clear, when I said useless, I meant that style of damage doesn't work as well as a stream of damage from dots with the decision to use your nuke whenever. Rage is designed around a very quick and strong burst, but this won't take players to 0%, so there does have to be some co-ordination between other players to get the kill; when rated PvP comes out, I will be changing to Rage, until then the lack of control over your environment makes annihilation alot stronger.
I disagree with your thoughts on rage. I've played all specs and yes annihilation is good sustained damage but rage when used right does more overall damage. Ive done 600k damage in a voidstar
So have you tried all three specs? Annihilation, Carnage, and Rage? What did you think of them? Because Rage seemed more appealing to me and that it had the potential to be more damaging than all the others but this video obviously proves that Annihilation is extremely effective with all those fast ticking, medium damage dots you put on.
@FiduciaInDio I played a bit of Carnage through the beta and have yet to try Rage; as I'm really enjoying Annihilation and its output at the moment. It is however a hard spec to play with the limited UI customisation offered, if your not very good at controlling your dots and cool down's, your going to get a much better result with Carnage, as for Rage its really just about controlling your proc's, which even if done perfectly has less damage than both spec's if played at maximum potential.
@memiagaming What's your recommended setup and play with the Annihilation spec? Because obviously if you play it right (which you have) you're getting massive damage that's actually effective damage resulting in kills, not just meaningless splash damage. The Annihilation is obviously a strong and consistently damaging spec. But it seems like Rage has a lot of options and can be extremely hard hitting and fast killing. It also offers some nice utility like a second charge ability. Thoughts?
@FiduciaInDio Both tree's have their arguments, it is very clear that pure damage wise if your left on a target, Annihilation's damage is alot higher, probably around the 200% mark, which is good for Void Star and a Alderaan with a healer but does feel the hit in Huttball. Rage does hit hard, it just comes in leaps, your burst will never kill someone straight away and before you can burst again you are left with practically nothing to do; the extra charge is very convenient for Huttball though.
@memiagaming Yeah. Obviously Rage is more burst-oriented with Smash and such, and Annihilation definitely seems to hit less hard but have more of a sustained damage to it. Both are obviously quite effective. I enjoy warzones just fine, but am more of an Open World PvP so that's why I was curious of Rage would be better to have those big bursts and the extra charge and such to hunt people down. I was think like a 4/5/32 spec or something. Picking up quick recovery to make the Smash cooldown less.
@memiagaming This is what i don't understand, if you look at this vid of Rage spec i'm thinking its WAY better than anything else available at this point. Annihilation looks close but you can't compare the burst Rage has, albeit its arguably close but still worse. /watch?v=xMzK5KYiSUM
@Chea7z Exactly my point on the damage being misleading, the Rage spec offers a quick burst and then cripples you for around 10 seconds; this is USELESS when you actually come against a half decent healer or someone that has a cool down free. Annihilation lets you keep up big dot damage, and then give you the freedom to control your burst when you want without having to wait for lots of procs to set up just to get one big crit.
@memiagaming So basically what i'm hearing (and seeing) is Annihilation offers more consistent damage over time, you'll have more firepower over the long term when you compare it to Rage burst dump. Maybe SWTOR just did a good job with the trees and are allowing for preferences in choosing a certain play style. I guess the debate is not how the damage is being used or spent, but which tree actually has an advantage in specific pvp environments (team, solo, objective-based).
@Decimate871 You have one ability that does tons of damage, Maul. Is the assassin hard to play? No. Is the marauder hard to play? Medium, assassin hard to master? Medium. Marauder hard to master? oh yes. Besides, what do you do when u get caught without stealth? You either die like a freakin paperclip or "vanish away" and go hide in a corner.
@memiagaming I never said you werent good, its just the amount of damage you do as a level 50 with gear is wrong. Its a balance issue. The assassin you fought must have been pretty bad, he should have outdamaged you easily lol.
Anyway its a great vid, and you are a good player. The marauder class is just mediocre right now.
You deserve alot more views! That simply was... AMAZING. You also need to put this up on the forums about the marauder if u have not already, Prove those whining kids that they are WRONG!

@HTeast your lucky in the fact that the tree has very little available change and most talents are the obvious ones to take, the only difference from my spec that I would take through levelling is the taking 2 points in Quick Recovery instead of Cloak of Annihilation, as the aoe stun lets you have alot more uptime through questing.
