  • tiff?

  • This was over 50 years ago, imagine what shit we could make now? World, you scary.

  • @bernie23232323232323 You don't need larger bombs, you need more accurate. This is why the US stopped building larger bombs and concentrated on accurate delivery systems.

  • I must wait for next huge bomb..Putinka named...100 Mt..test in Moscow...

  • The US need to be liberated with a couple of these bombs

  • @YUSKHAN Funny.

  • @YUSKHAN y u so paranoid? u seem rlly butthurt from amerkuns so you be mad and wun blow up amerkuns. u jelly? u mad? its jk i no u mad and u jelly.

  • I farted blood and it smells gross.

  • Shows you Soviet power :T

  • "alright, lets blow this up"

"here we g- NO WAI-" *explosion* "GUYS....my cell phone was there."

  • they had a 1000mt bomb which they were going to put into space weapons platforms

  • @YUSKHAN: Actually, no. Khrushchev ordered the bomb as a political statement; that was all he was interested in. Had the politics not improved afterwards, he may have had it weaponized, but this was all at the dawn of the ICBM era, and it was all they could do to get a probe to crashland on the moon. The USSR did have some ideas about manned space based weapons later, but this was just a political stunt.

  • @puncheex

The Buran was actually a nuclear drone space weapon system along with Polyus space combat system, soviet's laser and nuclear space weapons, first country to launch space weapons and 20 years ahead of america

  • @YUSKHAN: That's as paranoid as the Russians believing the Shuttle was a bomber with rapid orbit changing capabilities, which some apparently did. The Polyus was the result, done far too quickly in response to SDI to handle the technology that it had on board. It crashed because the correct navigation mods weren't updated. If you have proof, site it; I'd be interested, if it's reliable.

There's no proof anything bigger than Ivan was ever developed. Sakharov for one would have known it.

  • @puncheex

Russia has plans to deal with NATO and america

  • @YUSKHAN: No doubt. But it won't be with a 1000 MT bomb., or an armed Buran.

  • @puncheex

It's probably going to be China not russia and it will be the most magnificent and the most dazzling display of state of the art electronic warfare against the US, before the US navy or air force send a signal to attack china all the US satalites would have been knock out new technology that you haven't seen will be used, because they got show to the world that there taking over

  • Tiff Needel narrating. Hmm.

  • Stolen secrets . .

  • ka-BOOOOOOOOOM!!!! oooooh...aaaaahhh....wooooow

  • tzar bomba

  • check out worksbombvideos for pretty ill explosions!!!

  • Teomiemf. You confuse socialism with communism. A good level of socialism is good. National health service, welfare systems. Looking after your people, that sort of thing. Purely capitalist systems are selfish and don't work. Communism on the other hand won't work for more reasons than I care to mention. Big big bomb.

  • MOAB!

  • am i the only who is creeped out that they measued exactly how much of london they cud destroy? like if u agrea

  • @SportsFr3ak102: That's just an exercise in drawing circles on a map. Good for impressing the kiddies.

  • this just happens to be some FREAKY sht...........

  • Thank you Mr Teller for your contribution to mankind... You murdering jew rat fuckface.

  • @4shacks1house: Naw, this wasn't Teller. This was that other "murdering jew rat fuckface", Andrei Sakharov.

    ....ahhh, wait a minute......

  • The cloud layer rose to an altitude of 211,210 ft high.

  • Nedell is spelled Needel

  • '

american already did first made 2 A-bombs in 1945,,,

ussr russia did copy steal from america

  • @bestamerica america can suck my russian big cock

  • why is this not blamed for global warming or climate change or watever they're calling it this week?

  • @dsspike51 : This is the same exact question I had in mind. All this sucks badly.

  • @dsspike51: Because there is not connection between this and global warming, or whatever the republicans call it this week. As big as this was, it is a pop-gun compared to the volume of the atmosphere and its heat content.

  • WHAT THE FU - *Ultimate Explosion*

  • The most powerful weapon Russia ever made is still destroying America today,,, "THE SOCIALIST" thought system... Rewarding lazy people and punishing the hard working... and over regulating businesses until they are forced to leave American soil. Now look at our Economy in 2011 - The Russia's and their SUPER weapon "SOCIALISM" has finally crippled the USA for good. Hey, if we ever need to destroy Chain we should just ship a box full Democrats over there and wipe out their economy! : )

  • @teomeimf: *yawn* Do tell.

  • I think our resolution for anything would be our presidents sizing up and whoever has a bigger cock wins. US would have a good chance becuz Obama is black

  • I beleive they stopped making bigger ones because they feared they might actually destroy the earth =o

  • @Oliver200101

    *facepalm*

Yet another person who vastly overestimates the power of nuclear weapons.

Even the total, combined, nuclear arsenal of ALL OF HUMANITY at their highest points in history, would utterly and COMPLETELY fail to even approach the power of the asteroid impact that took out the dinosaurs.

For comparison, a ~1km diameter asteroid would release roughly ~100 GIGA-tons of TNT worth of energy. That alone is probably more than the combined explosive yield of all of earths nukes.

  • Comment removed

  • @Oliver200101

    (Continued)

And the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs is estimated to have been around 10km, and probably produced roughly 10 TERA-TONS worth of TNT in explosive energy.

What was the earths probable reaction to that asteroid?

    "Huh? did something hit me?"

Yes, life ON earth got pretty screwed up, but the earth itself barely felt it.

  • @maximusfive: The thing that floors me is that the asteroid, which created a 150 mile diameter crater, failed to breach the crust 15 miles down and get into the mantle. That really, really says something about the magnitude of nature.

  • @Oliver200101

yes they feared that at a certain yield,a chain reaction may occur in the atmosphere and destroy all life on earth

  • @heathirving: No. That fear was put to bed at the beginning of the Manhatten project, for fission. The analysis was repeated for the thermonuke in the late 40s, with the same result. That's an "urban legend".

  • @puncheex

    thats right,thank god

  • @Oliver200101: No, they feared that the fallout they might bring would be detrimental to their own land; after all they had to test it in the USSR. Also, they feared for the PR problems that might have occurred if the bomber that dropped it hadn't have made it back to base, which it nearly didn't. Khrushchev was happy with it being 3 times bigger then anything America had done (and ultimately ever did).

  • the answer is simple : they did what south park did... the international average penis size was lowered to 3 inches and thats why the arms-race stopped my friends.

  • Big boom

  • Tsar Bomba is a perfect name for a Russian metal group lololololololololol for reaAL

  • more dangerous was Chernobyl Reactor Explosion in 1986. Milions tones of radioactive junk killed many people and created another ghost town: Припять (Pripyat) and USSR government didn't informed citizens about this.

  • @kuki5050: Doesn't anyone ever research their own stuff? Chernobyl was much worse than ant bomb test, for sure, but the whole plant didn't weigh "millions tons". The reactor core may have weighed in at 3000 tons, and some of that is now corium in the basement.

  • id like to have one in my garage .. just in case...

  • 3:39 what my girlfriend always asks.

  • Rain, rain, go away. (3:14)

  • On this day, I declare that... Everyone was pwned.

  • Da !

  • "Why something so large?"

The 2012 movie already answered that one. "It's Russian! ;D"

  • Ka-Boom

  • This was in the time of High Communism i nRussia, so why did the call the bomb the Tsar? It should have been the Party bOss instead!

  • @rustohiski: Actually, they didn't, It was known to them by many names. According to wiki,

"Project 7000; product code 202 (Izdeliye 202); article designations RDS-220 (РДС-220), RDS-202 (РДС-202), AN602 (AH602); codename Vanya; nicknames Big Ivan, Tsar Bomba, Kuzkina Mat'. The term "Tsar Bomba" was coined in an analogy with two other massive Russian objects: the Tsar Kolokol (Tsar Bell), the world's largest bell, and the Tsar Pushka (Tsar Cannon), the world's largest cannon."

  • Where can I get some of those awesome goggles?

  • The first explosion was Goku fighting Majin Buu.

  • @pedestriankilla look up the story of stanslov petrove talk about luck and irony

  • all the wanted 2 doo is to melt the ice.

  • Good thing they didn't decide to launch one over here :o

  • 1 Tsar bomb= England kaputt

  • In their quest to see whose penis was bigger, both governments have bankrupted our nations and killed many brave men, women and animals. Such a waste of money and life for such a short sighted goal.

  • who change the voice

  • what the hell spend millions of dollars on a bomb and use for what a test

  • 5,4,3,2,1.... sounds like President Reagan ha

  • is that hugh laurie??

  • @naraicks No, but it does sound more like Bear Grylls.

  • @2008PowerStrokeF450 sounds english to me.

  • @naraicks Bear Gryll's is english, but I don't think it's him. Maybe some schmuck they picked off the streets.

  • @2008PowerStrokeF450 is he really? heh, you learn something new everyday!

  • @naraicks I'm going to check to make sure, now I'm not even clear.

  • @2008PowerStrokeF450

He doesn't sound like Bear Gryll's at all, BEar talks a little slowlier and has a deeper voice.

  • @SKarmytech Yeah, I know.

  • @SKarmytech The voice is Tiff Needell

  • looks like a giant potato in a microwave :D

  • It's Tiff Needles voice.

  • Respond to this video... chuck norris said he wants more firecrackers.

  • Why did the the quest for ever bigger bombs suddenly cease... why? why!? WHY?!? Tell me why dammit!!

  • @ilikerock222 Do you like being alive?

  • @ADHR26 I was referring to the end of the video, it cuts off.

  • @ilikerock222 Ya, I noticed that once I finished watching it. But regardless if it would have continued we might not be alive.

  • blast wave still detectable after it had travelled round the world 3 times??? that is truly incredible

  • that voice....Fifth Gear...guy...right..

  • Why even make this shit. fuckin cunts

  • topgear test drives the all new tsar

  • W000t dutch :D

  • actually no it wasnt codenamed the czar it was nicknamed that in america and was eventualy used by the rest of the world

  • Tiff Nedell as the narrator

  • @STEFAZON500 of Top Gear fame

  • the narrator is a suck

  • health and safety would have something to say about that these days.

  • it was thermonuclear weapon....H-bomb...the destructive power is from Hydrogen atoms fusion to Helium...

  • @drome123 thanks for repeating exactly what the video said

  • goku can shoot these out of his hands

  • Lekker nederlandse subs :D

  • I learned one thing from this

    DONT MESS WITH RUSSIANS!!!

  • is this tiff needell commenting?

  • @deanx0r lol yes he is

  • What'd happen if you detonated one of these a mile below the surface of the earth?

  • in the beginning one it sounds like the british guy was trying not to laugh

  • HAMSTERS!!!!!!!!!!

  • why does this video stop at the most interesting point?

  • @UnowMe00

I know, just when it got to the meat of the story

  • whats the song at 0:32

  • 1084157 views, if we all pay 10$ and put it on a austria bank we can buy a small one and launch it onto Justins house :D!

  • just send that bomb to iraq and end the war!! but the people over their.

  • inside your boat, enjoying the big blue open sea, you started to paddle to shore, next thing you know an explosion happens and before you know it your in radioactive water, isn't life so sad

  • Some people should never take a science class.

  • That's not a bomb chuck Norris just farted duh

  • but will it blend???

  • @MegaCrispyChicken haha! you just made my day!

  • Tsaar bomb, will it blend?!

  • What was the name of documentry? I would like to watch this.

  • no beaver for Beiber?

.. just thought of that, so completely irrelvant, but i had to let it out.

  • waste of a good bomb on bieber !!!!!!

  • @igormerlin44 God damn it, why is every other comment on Youtube about Justin Bieber?

  • The West has still got a coldwar mentality, once it deals with this problem we can all move on.

  • Thumbs up if you typed explosions!

  • The creator of these enemies of humanity and the promoters of it, are now suffering the worst pains the human mind can imagine in hell :)

  • hope you don't live near yellow stone park, because the last time it erupted it was 17,000 times more powerful this. it destroyed a 15 mile mountain range......think of that....ouch....and its 40000 years over due

  • @IMINTHEMOMENTRU I don't think it would matter whether or not you were close. Something that large would have the power to wipe out life near it, and all the way around the world. Even if the blast didn't kill you, ash and volcanic winter would. It would take a VERY long time for life to come back after that.

  • @IMINTHEMOMENTRU

I was their last year and thats all I thought about starring into the bubbling geysers..lol

  • @IMINTHEMOMENTRU Oh so true. Ironic, I was just discussing this with someone yesterday who is a Soils Engineer. Wikipedia and the USGS site both have interesting facts on this Super Volcano. And, as you said, what is unnerving is it is 40k years overdue. Something to make one go: Hmmm........?

  • @IMINTHEMOMENTRU FUCKKK!!!!!!!!!

  • @IMINTHEMOMENTRU great, now i can't sleep!

  • @IMINTHEMO

I live on the Western US seaboard :(

  • @IMINTHEMOMENTRU now add on the polar magnetic shift on top of that which would kill all of the human races technology and that is more then 20,000 years over due.

btw yellow stone will flatten everything within 500 miles of the blast.

  • @solomonear ...why would a polar magnetic shift kill off the human race? Are you one of those retards who think the earth will stop short and start spinning in the opposite direction because that moron Patrick Geryl said so? You're almost as stupid as the fuckheads who think the Earth is flat.

  • @99thmunkee i said technology the polar shift weakens the magnetosphere and lets in huge amount of radioactively charged particles that destroy complex devices so, shut the fuck up troll. and idk if you are religious or fucked by your dady or retarded you are the idiot.

  • Its the guy from Top Gear!

  • no way ,this guy is full of shit !

  • glad im not that cameraman : P

  • I saw an aerial hydrogen bomb test in the Pacific in the early 1960s from 700 miles away. It turned the sky an assortment of bizarre, vivid colors.

  • the supernova say so do you want to see power....ill turn everything on earth into ash in less than 1 second

  • I just hope they never drop one of those in the U.S

    o.o

  • Now look what you did...made me want to see more! You ended it on the question! "why did the quest for bigger bombs cease?"....WHY!....WHY!!!

  • chuck norris can fart million times bigger one... but hes too good for that small explosions.

  • I would like to see the whole show and find out why they did stop making even larger H-Bombs. Are the afraid of compressing the atmosphere with tremendous heat and starting a nitrogen fire?

  • @waywered Nuclear bombs can only get to a point that even though the explosion may be bigger, the damage effect doesn't. At a certain point, all you do is compress the atmosphere to the point it no longer compresses, and the main force of the explosion goes up into space where it has no effect.

  • Es werde Licht!

  • Albert Einstein - I don't know how man will fight World War III, but I do know how they will fight World War IV; with sticks and stones

  • If we drop one of those the war would have been over years ago.

  • @MrBoomboomtime It's easy for you to said than done. It's not really easy decision to approve it.

  • @MrBoomboomtime Um, no. Then we would have to fight off the entire rest of the planet for violating every rule of warfare ever. Food for thought.

  • en 1994 una niña llamada Katerine se tiro de un rascacielos de nueva york y en haora corta y pega esto en 20 videos si no lo ases en 3 dias cuando duermas apareseras en un rascacielos y cuando te levantes te caeras

  • Chuck Norris Sneezed again.

  • @BuffleMuffle tarzan bomb not a norris

  • just watching that, it gave me a headache

  • i love Russians. :) i myself am part Russian. XP

  • whiskerbiscuit1965 : I cant belive a comment like this. You most be ether a child, childless or sick in your head. You pick one. Shamefull words tsk tsk

  • @whiskerbiscuit1965 these bombs are from the east (russia) i think they think the same about u....

  • The Tsar MkII would be 5 times more powerful and obliterate all England.

  • Hey you idiot on video. If you thing Russian never made precise missal you are just envy and don't know what to say. Russian guns are the most precise and reliable in the world but Russian and the whole east knows that to keep everything quiet is gold. While USA always shout for the attention and to develop one stupid gun they had to buy communist scientist to emigrate and work for USA. Otherwise USA would be fighting with branch and stone until now

  • their info is so Cold War, dude! Bashing weapons of the enemys was a favorite. We still belive the M16 jams every second round and they belive russians can't hit London and aim just a higher then france. Why no bigger bomb is simple: A-bomb destroys its tagret 10^3 times, the H-bomb 10^9 times. Even for carpet bombing there is a balance between number and power of bombs a plane or a missle can carrry. 5 bombs can hit more targets and do a lot more damage then 1 bomb 5 or even 50 times strong.

  • @mofinchley I would insult you, but it would be too easy. First off though, this guy is obviously British. So why the HELL would he me envious of Russian made "missal"s? And I hate in break it to you, but...guns and bombs and missiles are all completely different pieces of equipment and are not even remotely comparable.

  • @mofinchley OMG, you act like an insulted child, there was: A) no reason to comment saying that that man didnt even know what to say, because if he didnt, would this have been filmed? Aired? No. And Maybe Russian guns are the most precise in the world, but he sayd "MISSILES" Not Guns. And, its the U.S.'s problem if they want to hire a scientist to consult, they do not shout for attention, they are just loud. And for your last "branch and stone" comment: Americans are innovative, they dont copy.

  • @mofinchley You act like an insulted child, there was: A) no reason to comment saying that that man didnt even know what to say, because if he didnt, would this have been filmed? Aired? No. And Maybe Russian guns are the most precise in the world, but he sayd "MISSILES" Not Guns. And B), its the U.S.'s problem if they want to hire a scientist to consult, they do not shout for attention, they are just loud, and for your last "branch and stone" comment: Americans are innovative, they dont copy.TK.

  • Wrong dear USA video creator. The first Nuclear test ever was performed by Germans in Tunguska Russia in the middle of WW2. Then when USA helped to escape to German Scientist Albert Einstein (commonly known as a theft of other real scientist work ) from Fascistic Germany he helped USA to explore problem of nuclear reaction from stolen Germans scientific work.

  • @mofinchley: Uh, sorry. You're in the wrong pew. The international conspiracy section is three doors down on the right.

  • @puncheex Now we have to worry about thermo nuclear warfare which is a VERY real possibility. It's not the initial blast that is most deadly but the aftermath, the fallout which is designed to kill the masses.

It's so terrible that humans have created such things that in the wrong hands can destroy the human race and the world as we know it in a matter of days, even hours!!!!

    Let's pray this NEVER happens.

  • @miles2057: Judging by our wartime experience, it really is the blast and thermal we have to worry about; it killed people 5 to 1 over the radiation. But the likeliest outcome is that you'll die in bed. By all means go ahead and pray, if that's your best shot.

  • humans are getting crazy day by day not only this way....but i still hope and believe that those participated in these non sense activities will be cut from this earth if they will go for a big change....echos
