Neputa Matsuri - Japanese Traditional Summer Festival

I use to go to school in Hirosaki (1985). Neputa is worth while to go and see. The sounds and the excitment. If you ever get to Aomori make sure you stop over in Hirosaki.

Where in Japan does this festival take place?

in the city named HIROSAKI, in northern prefacture(Aomori) of main island.

Thanks for the information. I used to live in western Japan, and never heard of this festival. Next time I visit the country I will make arrangements to be there by the time this festival is held.
