  • Glad they're on our side!

  • takes muscle and coordination

  • Outstanding!

  • latz kill sm moozlimz comreds.

  • Powder!

  • Just enlisted today for the Marine Corps Reserves. This is what I'll be doing.

  • @metalmaistro68 Good luck. Don't die!

  • Had to watch it again and these guys are great! Most crews won't use the manual feedtray like they do. They just have a round sitting on left trail and loader takes it of trail and inserts followed by ram. Outstanding, these guys deserve an Achievement Medal for this video alone as it is great PR :O

  • i want to see the impact zone

  • Section chief is awesome and on top of it, great work:)

  • so where is he taking it....

  • @TheHeavyduck He is taking the excess powder or propellant to the burn pit for safety reasons. Green Bag powder comes in 5 charges or increments that are numbered 1 thru 5. Since they are shooting charge 4, they are left with one increment they cannot use and it must be burnt. The burn usually occurs at the end of day or when they move from a position. It would be cool if someone showed a propellant burn, haven't seen one in awhile. I cannot give enough props to this chief and crew!

  • @Taurus454 thanks....

  • @TheHeavyduck Much appreciated but the real thanks belong to these young en who have mastered their profession to a work of art! How I would have loved to serve with these guys :O

  • This devil pup is slapfiring the shit out of the 198. It's kinda weak though, only charge 4 gb.

  • That is Badass.

  • why does he keep saying "take it" everytime

  • and that is how it is done. Marines can fuck some shit up. oorah. and by the way im from north carolina

  • Why dont they just make a huge belt feed for there and spray shells like a minigun? They can build everything else.

  • @Ryzler13 to keep em from turning into a hippie

  • @Ryzler13 more moving parts means less reliability

  • An Dinh, RVN, May 23, 1968...Delta, Echo, & Fox put every round exactly where I told them to.

  • do they use ear protection?

  • @jorgeyeahman Hahaha marines dont use ear protection. Hahahahaha that is really funny.

  • @detestableangel lol damn my ears are fucked then if i get field arty im combat support at the time i leave in 6 days!! sept 6 2011!!

  • @jorgeyeahman Nope, I was Marine artillery for 4 years and can barely hear out of my left ear. Do get a couple hundred a month in disability from the VA though.

  • @LabelFacingRight did you went off to boot camp as combat support? im leaving next tuesday as combat support and they told me i can get between AAV's Tank's or field artillery

  • @jorgeyeahman Yeah. You are more than likely going to get artillery. Out of 20 guys who were combat support with me 1 got tanks, 5 got AAV, and the rest of us got field artillery.

  • @LabelFacingRight was it fun? i would like to have your opinion about the MOS and how was your experience with the marines, im leaving next tuesday to boot camp...

  • @jorgeyeahman What???!!!??

  • this is beautiful. I could fap to the sound of that all day.

  • how many rounds did they get off?

  • You guys wanna party with arty? Man I miss those days with Charlie 1/10.

  • Love it, ..... smells like .......... victory

  • I miss the old M198!! Semper Fi.

  • omfg...that looks so much fun!

  • I watched a show, Lock and Load with Gunny, and they still use a wet ram rod just like the old days to prevent premature detonation of the powder bag. Even to this day a field infantry unit is amazing. 25 miles, Hurrah!

  • That's awesome, I recognize respect the degree of precision and discipline. It's simply amazing.

  • They are damn machines. I couldn't do this all day lol.

  • I liked that little finishing move that guy did at the end.

  • This is my MOS, can't wait! HOORAH

  • @deztroyahh Good luck big guy! Happy Fourth of July! Semper Fi! (didn't mean to rhyme)

  • @dror91 Thanks bro!

  • Have you ever noticed that Teamwork divides the task you are doing and multiplies the success.

  • im thinking of doing this after high school

  • Is it strange that watching this gave me a boner?

  • @JoeSmoeX Not at all.

  • If I lived a mile away from these guys as they practiced I would be in heaven. Even better if I could load it. Just let me stand there and watch as they fire. HOOK UP! STAND BY! FIRE!

  • The sound of freedom

  • look at Swedish archer system and see some auto artillery.

  • @cannasnagler Or a PHZ2000. Germany has some nice auto-artillery as well.

  • thats real competition between guns. SOO SICK. ITS SOOO FUN!

  • SLAPFIRE. DOOD is sick! #5 man has to know the chief. its a sick happestance.

  • Is it just me or does one of those guys sound a lot like Jerry Seinfeld?

  • Yeahh this bring a lot of memories I wasn't marine I was in the army field artillery and we always did the same thing "trigger it with the finger" instead of a line how it is supposed to and we always got in trouble for it.

  • Brings back memories, 5th Battalion 10th Marines 77-81

  • what is a green bag? and a "stick"? im not marine artillery so i have no idea of their termonology

  • @blazeclicker "A charge 4 green bag" is the amount of gun power that they use to make it go as far as they want it to. Along with other factors like the angle of the tube. The powder is separated into increments. If i remember correctly the green bags are separated into 5 increments. Then to go further they have different color bags that have more power in them.

  • being Marine artillery sucks.....

and why the hell can't we still fire without our blouse? when was this taken?

  • being Marine artillery sucks.....

  • i miss the sound of that in the morning, my dad did artilery, he's a SGT MAJ in the marine cirpps, im not gonna give away his name though

  • does your bro know Luis Arteaga

  • This is really awesome... an autoloader would be more efficient--reducing the crew and freeing more marines for other tasks/jobs. Only if the auto loader was extremely reliable tho..

  • lmao i heard a car alarm going off and i thought it was in the video but it was outside

  • not the best, they're yelling for powder which should never happen. good though. verifying everything very quickly. i'm a 13b as well so i know what i'm talking about. powder man is crucial

  • Not even a single swab though? I mean at least one man. For a sec I thought they were ramming with the swab, which would actually be pretty bad ass!

  • wow stupid patriotism ftw ?!

  • That is a really good Chief running the crew he was on top of everything without hesitation of any sort.

  • The DC is great. Drill is great. Why is he reporting the deflection on every round? Is this being reported back to an FDC? or is he just confirming the lay to a section commander?

  • The TM 9-1028-211-10 says you have to use a the 6' or 25' (for super 8) lanyard , but when you are crank'em out this fast, who cares. somebody down range is thanking Jesus, Arty we are just a phone call away from efn up your day!!

  • @leatherneck818 Herp 9-1025-211-10

  • It breaks things and kills people.

  • my bro is the one that takes the rod away after the round is inserted

  • Comment removed

  • @Eric3469 that sounds dirty.....

  • something a long ways away got really fucked up

  • @tacoman375 that assumes there was something left to f*** up after round 1 ;)

  • @tacoman375 no really. We only shoot a few k out. Our impact zone is only like 2.5-3 square kilo. Firing on Lejeune suck. This isn't even GP13 so that means they are real close. That green bag is enough to get the round outta the tube. Kinda demotivating.

  • @tacoman375 nah they are only using a charge 4 now if they were using a charge 8 then they could get some max range out of it.

  • You boys should go grab your peashooters and go storm a beach head and leave the artillery to the 13 Bravos HOOAH!!!!!

  • @hateplow420 y do u like looking up so many Marine videos, i thought i heard you say you were Army? unless you wanna learn from the best, which i totally understand.

  • I also live next to a military training area and when they are firing, the porcelain shakes, it sure feels good

  • Bravo 1/10 Rocking Lejuene!

    where is that lanyard Marine?

I NEVER slap fired my howitzer...LOL!

    Great Job!

  • @kblackstone this is the only Marine in history to ever slap fire, *chuckle*

  • which one is you brother??

they are pretty pro with artillery :P

  • holy shit that's awesome

  • I have 3 of these on my lawn ready to blast any trespasers LOL

  • Reflection 3288, Lookout, Standby, FIRE

  • this makes me horny

  • shit that was fast

  • If you get a choice, go for 0844 and then from there go to the survey section.

  • Out(fuckin)standing gentelmen. (Ret) 13B US Army redleg! Hope you get to bring some "steel rain" on the Taliban. Thanx for sharin this!

  • semper fi, same m.o.s im in kick ass boys

  • This is what I'll be doing. Anyone going to parris sland on Nov. 7, 2011?

  • i wish justin bieber would get hit by that shells

  • i wonder justin bieber would get hit by that shells

  • i wonder where all these rounds end up? =0

  • this is what an enemy's bad day looks like!

  • I hadn't seen one of these modern field pieces fire before. it looks to be easier on the soldiers, in contrast to ww2 guns that seemed to have such a violent shock wave around them. that new gun must have some fancy chambering and gas venting..n so forth cuz they seem pretty comfortable slaping rounds in that thing with impressive speed. friggin semi auto practically

  • Hahah, Good Shit.

  • Can anyone say Slap Fire?

  • Field Artillery aka the King of Battle

  • this really sucks for me cause i live like a mile away from Lejeune and this makes my house shake

  • @bcaver97 Like you and a girl go upstairs and the guns make the house shake and the guest in the house all burst out laughing (Not judging you).

  • @bcaver97 You complain about your house shaking for the most awesome reason ever?!

  • @bcaver97 wait till one lands in your back yard...

  • @bcaver97 there was a story that during the cold war a german woman was at her doctors appointment and she complained that the american tanks driving by her house on night manuevers kept her awake at night. the doctor replied that he would rather have 100 american tanks go by at night than a drunken russian on a bicycle!

  • thats some cool ass shit

  • ooooo RAH, these guys would have given us competition. It would have been an honor to serve along side them. I was in Artillery in 84-90, and it was the best time of my life.

  • Ft. Sill, where Marines come to train to become Field Artillery Men.

My unit, in the Dessert, 1 man loads the round, puts charge 7 Redbag In, closes the breach, puts in the primer (.45 ACP), attaches the lanyard, and sets her off.

If you are not behind, you will suffer.

NO, and I mean NO, offense to the Marines.

We are combat men, we are combat BROTHERS.

F all the rest, US is the best!

  • I live near fort sill and day in and day out that's all i hear it's music to my ears

  • Teamwork is no accident. It is the by-product of good leadership. It is the beauty of the USMC, for example where you have 7 acting as one. You become selfless.

  • Too bad we can't fire without our blouses anymore...

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a poolee, contract 0800. I can't fuckin' wait to do this stuff

  • your replaying the video

  • 18 rag heads disliked this video

  • Slightly different crew placement than ours. But none the less. still very good :)

  • Choreography of killing.

  • What? I do not understand the response, I was artillery in a couple different units during that time, two of which were sierra 3/12 and india 3/10 for artillery..

  • fckin awesome well done with the slap fire.. i gotta nasty scar from a 7 red bag

  • do arti guys go through soi before going to arti school?

  • @troym33 no although i think us 0811's should go through soi instead of gay ass mct

  • @insaneology420 Yes they do lol, if you did not sorry about the gay ass new training "if you really went", but back in '02 we did, hell no one got their MoS until AFTER soi was complete.. what was your asvab and date of entry?

  • @Burnz2much I ask your asvab because I have also heard you get away with allot if you arent even remotely qualified for certain tasks but are for others.. which I do not doubt since I have seen worse..

  • @insaneology420 I was 0811 as well by the way.. 03 after that..

  • @Burnz2much Question, do you have to be good at math as an 0811? I signed up for 0811 but my math is horrible. I heard as 0800 you still go on patrols and stuff, right?

  • @revngeWAR No, just pay attention how things work, you will be fine. And yes 08 MoS does patrols and allot of what infantry does, in wartime whenever there is a shortage of artillery pieces 08's then fill in as 03's.

  • @revngeWAR For example I was a cannoneer but also a machine gunner. Hope that helps.

  • @Burnz2much yes it does, thank you. But do you need to be good at math for artillery? I suck at math.

  • @revngeWAR Depends exactly what job you get, if you are a cannon cocker not so much, which is what I was, so I cannot really say for sure, but I would not worry about it, the asvab will tell them where you will be placed. One more thing, if you really want to be artillery make sure it says that you are only signing up to be artilery, I did not know what I was doing when I signed up and my recruiter told me I was going to be a tanker like I wanted to from teh start, what he didnt tell me is that,

  • @Burnz2much *open contract* means they can put you where ever they want to, hell I even had a degree in criminal justice so I put MP as my secondary, I got neither thanks to my dickhead recruiter and went artillery, Im not upset I was in artillery because I quickly found it is one of the only 2 combat MoS's in the corp, I was mad he fucking lied and led me around.. when it comes to what your job preference is for the marines do not take no as an answer, those fuckers do not have to love with it.

  • @Burnz2much *love with it* = *LIVE with it*

  • @Burnz2much Yeah the papers say Combat Support: 0800 Field Artillery.

  • @revngeWAR Now that I think bout it, you may be on a 777, totally different gun crew and procedures, thats too bad the m198 is an icon. Either way rock on and good luck man.

  • damn they didnt even slow down the whole time. whoever is on the receiving end of this.. haha is now dust

  • they need one of those in an air plane! rofl that would be baddddd assssss

  • This is orgasmic.

  • It sounds like thunder.

  • I was a 0861 my 1st year and had a chance to see the 0811 at work this was an 05 battery very nice.

  • @9mmParabellum0321 is it hard to get into becoming an 0861

  • They move even faster when there's an actual enemy. Aderenilne is a hell of a drug.

  • Is that a 777 they're firing? Also, how did they not cook a round off going that fast?

  • this gives me a boner. served with A 1/14 as a 0811. It's nice to see how effcient a few marines and a cannon are. I have fired on that exact range. Take note of the slap fire and no swabbing the barrel. Thats how you get rounds down fast, maybe not the safest way but awsome to watch. They need a place where old timers can go to play with these things.

  • SQUARED AWAY!!

  • Thats me in that video THE LITTLE GUY. When i was a BOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!. C 1/10.

  • how could 18 people not like this?

Without devices like this there would be very few free people in this world

  • Perfect Team! Awesome!

  • When you absolutely need things broken and people killed, call in the US Armed Services. God bless America.

  • whats slap fire?

  • Kill bodies, eat babies. It's what we do. Oohrah.

  • wow i never tought that this was a team thing like this shooting artillery rounds.

  • is this a daily routine??

  • 1/79 field artillery, army! hoooah

  • The U.S. military is the largest terrorist organization in the world.

  • @lemonrind u sure are spreading the word you gay little fag. just cause your life is a pitiful mess of furry porn and disappointed parents doesnt mean you can get away with dissing men and women that die everyday so you can post left wing extremist crap all over youtube

  • @23HAMSANDWICH Oh, are you sad that I'm hurting the feelings of baby killers? What are you going to do about it, bitch?

  • @lemonrind keep on trollin :)

  • @lemonrind and if they are?

  • @lemonrind fck you you piece you shit u dont like get the fck out

  • this is why usa win wars

  • @drabeblaine this is why Australia is allies with USA : )

  • thats awesome

  • Who would ever dislike this video.

Also, I would like to re-ask AtooZ35's question which was which is what would be say a 2nd Lt.'s job in this scenario.

    Thanks

  • @Badabean30 A peace loving liberal Dicksuck.....That's who.

  • USMC Artillery.

    heavy metal at its best.

  • ...You're the ones who wake me up in the morning...

  • Which one is the officer, or is he in it? I'm really not sure what field artillery officers do is why i ask.

  • @AtooZ35 they control the whole battery, they dont have to be at a specific howitzer. Each specific howitzer would be commanded usually by an NCO, or Sergeant.

  • Good Section Chief, Well Oiled Crew. Nothing like a 10 round mission coming over the hooks.

  • gotta love that "slap firing"! friggin' OUTSTANDING MARINES! King Of Battle 0811!

  • good shit!

  • 17 people are commies and/or terrorists.

  • marines= kick ass

  • good shit

  • By far this is the best artillery crew seen here on youtube. Great job Marines, Semper Fi
