TWO of the chords are the same. How did Green Day "rip off" this song because of that?! I really don't see how this is that big of a deal. Bands use the same chords all the time, so what? This still sounds absolutely NOTHING like "Wake Me Up When September Ends." Plus that song was written in tribute to Billie Joe of Green Day's father, whom died when Billie Joe was only 10 years old. Okay kiddies time for me to explain something about guitar to alot of you guys who think that Green Day ripped this off. What he is playing is a G chord, not a normal one but it still has the notes to make it a G chord, he then switches to a D/F# to a Em7 then back to the G. there are alot of songs that are ALIKE but that doesnt mean that they are stolen. I believe Marks Mananger at the time Dezi Benjamin went to a showcase for Greenday. And typically a manager will give a CD of the artist he represents to a potential client. Dezi didn't sell out...but Greenday did.
