Hey look it's our truck...It did make it out of the tornado! Yes guys that truck made it out with no damage surprisingly. The back window did get sucked open and the guys in the truck were hit with insulation and debris. Nobody was hurt, so it was all good and the guys now have a story to tell especially if NWS decides to bump up the rating to an EF5.
@SaLiOaKz At 4:05, the vehicle you see had my friend Brad in it. He was IN that tornado. Quite a scare, all said. His video is on youtube and tornadovideosDOTnet (INCREDIBLE Lookeba, Oklahoma tornado video!)
@fastsnow It's quite a story I can assure you! Sad part is the sensor they put down to collect data from the tornado didn't collect anything because it couldn't get a GPS lock first. Sad day! close encounter all for nothing as far as science is concerned but makes for a great story to tell your children and grandchildren
these always creep me out. aka the calm before the storm. you know somehting is coming. and it wont be pretty. thank you for posting this. i was on my way out to phoenix in 2001. ( june. ) there was a wedge tornado. that formed in ok. west of OK city. i stopped about 20 east of that area. because 1 i was tired. and 2 weather was deteriorating. and 3 me pulling a trailer would have been hard to dodge it. lol.
was that rope more of a satellite?
also, the appearance of the tornado at 3:02 is slightly remenisant of Quinter

My hubby (Brad) was in the truck. He keeps telling us the tornado was at least a half mile away from them. YOU be the judge!!
