Great job. I think I have found the mandolin I am going buy when I graduate. How loud is your F-9? That is my only complaint with my current mandolin. But it's a big complaint.
@TheGibsonlover pretty much any f-style mando will work for bluegrass, but gibson is a classic choice. the f-9 is a great mando. i also like the jam master mandolins, there satin finish with no binding, which i think looks really cool.
dude......slow down. i am no musical expert but when things are too fast you lose alot of musical quality, things are slurred. nice mando by the way, f9 is the way to go.
I love this song. It's possibly my favorite song of all time. I've loved it since I was like four and my parents used to play Sam Bush's album glamour and grits at family picnics in the summer. When I was little I would always tell my Mom, "I want to hear Grits!" and she would pop the album into the boom box. I really can't say why I always liked it so much, but it's what got me into bluegrass when I was around eleven and then into country music.
I have played a ton of Webers and have not liked any of them. The new F9s are awesome, I just bought one and it is a monster. It has a bass to it that put my Collings mt to shame.
Play several f9s and find the one that is right for you. Put one up against a Weber and you'll see what I'm talking about.
i love that flat stain color

Sounds great.
Do you think the Gibson is worth the money?

Stinger, what kind and gauge strings are you using in this clip?

Good job man, some constructive criticism I could give you is to slow it down a bit. You sound as though you are straining to play that tempo.

VERY nice. I'm in the process of learning this tune and have used your video as a reference point a couple times.
What strings do you have on there? I have an F9 myself and am still searching for the right sound

If Brilliancy isn't a word, it should be. It's catchy, haha. Oh, and brilliant mandolin playing.

I like the F9 but I have never played any of the other mandolins in it's same range, only cheaper beginner type mandolins.
