realy awesome playing!!! i realy realy realy want a berimbao myself! but they're so hard to get in europe! :( my interest in this instrument started when i lived in south america for a half year, and i've been wanting it ever since! :P nowadays i live in europe again.i wish i could get 1!! Well, actually I think berimbau came from Africa. In Angola, it was called "hungu" or "m'bolumbumba", and in Mozambique it was called "xitende".

Anyway, this guy is a great player, in his own way. But everybody knows berimbau isn't the traditional music for hopak, but most commonly associated with capoeira, as far as martial arts are concerned.

take it easy. This guy is a musician and composition (rather nice, IMHO) is clearly just an experiment on etno-music synthesis. Nobody says here gopak is a capoeira.
