  • Awesome stuff Great video..Tim

  • i am just getting into gas engines, got any advice like on tuning, because im not good at tuning my nitro rc car ,it always floods out and shuts off, right now im only flying electric planes but i just bought a dle-30

  • Hi I'm going to buy one with your exact setup it looks great, may I ask what battery did you use Li-po or Ni-Mah? Nice work 10/10 :)

  • @stan230 I used life packs, A123 batteries by hobbico, 3200 mah for receiver and 2100 mah for ignition. More information on my flite video on my channel. Thanks and good luck with yours

  • @knockoffs is that 6x3mm tygon you're using or 5x2.5? thanks.

  • @pitikbulag123 I used the large Tygon line, Not the extra large, Yes 6X3 O.D.

  • @knockoffs can you share your needle settings on this, for my reference. thanks.

  • @pitikbulag123 Will check and post next time i take it out, Keep in mind that needle setting will change depending upon where you are located !!! (climate, Elevation etc, etc)

  • Great looking Revolver :) Nice Job!!! Is the DLE20 hard to tune? Once again keep the videos coming nice work 10/10 for your videos :)

  • Any flight vids mate?

  • @tubsucks just go on my youtube channel , look for DLE 20cc and Revolver 70

  • try a 14x10 for ultimate speed

  • Knockoffs what size robarts hinge did you use on the revolver

  • Knockoffs - Did you use any gas conversion kit or a special tank for gasoline. Im also buying a DLE20 for my Topflite p51 Mustang. Thanks.

  • @Rica1556 No special conversion, Use the tank that came with the model and change the fuel stopper to a Durbro gas stopper (red) and change all the fuel line to tygon gas line. also i would put fuel barbs on the tubing

for extra protection and fuel line clips over the barbs to keep line from walking off !!!. Good Luck with your P51

    should fly great !!!

  • Knockoffs - so you use the stock engine rails and cut out the middle slide-into-each-other section? But then the two sides don't reinforce each other, right? And they're still strong enough? Also, I didn't see a fuel port on the cowl. Do you add fuel through a loose hose? Thanks - and great work. (I have my DLE 20cc on order!).

  • @microdon2 The included motor mount works just fine, Use your cut off wheel from your dremel and a sanding disc, and take your time fitting the motor. Lock tite the shit out of it when all done, i check my mount every ten flights and it has been just fine.

check out my new build pics of my top flight P51 1/7th scale. It shows the cut off areas

and the angles you need on the rails. Also keep the filler end from the slide rail that you cut off, You will need it for a spacer to keep the rails level

  • What spiner your use? what size and brand? they sound is great

  • @domingomartinezt i used the spinner that came with the model.

    works great with most props.

  • Nice Job..

  • @3gulfstream3 Thanks

  • @knockoffs

Building a R70 with DLE20 and this was a big help. Figured I would have to cut the mounts and this certainly confirms it. Wondering if you know how many mah's the ignition is using during an average flight. Also are you still flying it with the 15x8 prop as stated in your flight video?

  • @afjets20 Yes still using Xoar 15x8 prop. Works just fine. and the ignition pack that im using is a life pack by hobbico 2100mah. I get about 6 ten min flights with plenty

    of room left for safety.

  • Did you use the stock engine mount and position on the firewall please?

  • @irshaad57 Yes, but you have to cut the rail mount down to fit.

Back slide rails all get cut out and the carb will now fit.

  • Any idea how loud this thing is with the stock muffler? I'm getting this engine for a Aero-Works Yak 54 and I'm worrired about my clubs 95db sound restriction.

  • @DeadlyDon will take a reading soon and post results

  • @knockoffs Awesome, thanks!

  • Looks and sounds like an AWESOME engine for this plane! (I own two of them). Just watched your flight video - beautiful! Looks FAST, TOO! Nice job.

  • @microdon2 thanks for the comment, And it is fast. Will have a speed reading real soon !!!

  • @knockoffs So what prop did you settle on?

  • And where did you get the DLE 20?

  • @EvvyThomas valleyview rc Tell them Matt from New York sent you !!!

  • @knockoffs Sounds great. I wonder if the Rpms would stay above 8000 with a 16x8 or even 16x10? I bought my first gasser from Jodi at Valleyview.. Great service and a great guy!

  • @EvvyThomas First prop that i had on the plane, was a Xoar 16X6,

and i had to pull it off real fast. Was not a good match for this plane. At 1/4 throttle

it would yank the plane off the runway. Good size i guess for a heavy warbird or a three d type plane. I myself like long and real looking rollouts and landings, Just like

planes are supposed to look !!!

  • I'm guessing it hauls ass! Have you flown it yet?

  • @EvvyThomas Maiden was a couple of days ago, And what a thrill ride it was.

The plane only calls for a top engine of a 91 !!! This DLE 20 is 120 size in nitro.

The high speed passes were outstanding, and the vertical is nuts !!!. I have a 16oz tank in it and can fly for 15 min and still come down with more then half full. Beef up the fire wall with epoxy and cross screws around the box, and your good to go.

i Should have a video up soon.

  • @knockoffs Cznt wait for the video! Subscribed...
