I currently don't have my CCW, however anyone that does is a great citizen. CCW owners are not criminals at all or they wouldn't be able to get the CCW, so someone who does should be looked at with respect as they have kept themselves out of trouble and able to enjoy the freedom of owning guns and carrying concealed. Personally I don't like the idea of open carry as it shows everyone around that you have a gun. I'd rather keep it hidden and let the criminals wonder.
Despite what a lot of people say about USA, it's still a country of greater fredom most of countries have never had. In my country-Poland-it's almost impossible to get a permission to carry a gun, whereas most of the criminals have no problem getting it. Here it's still very controversial to use weapon to defend yourself or your own property, which is something i cannot bear.

Australian Government placed prohahibition laws on all auto, semi auto rifles and shotguns a few years ago due to public pressure. True that someone may die, but ask yourself if it is fair for the innocent to die rather than the guilty. This is why i have my CWP and carry; if it has to come down to them or me I will not hesitate to use deadly force to protect my life and any of the innocent that i could help save.

The Czech republic also has the right to carry guns and Im actually proud of that. Its almost the only European country that allows its citizens to carry a concealed weapon on their person and does not require them to demonstrate a specific need.. like the shall issue in the states...

I used to be very much for gun control as well. Forever singing the mantra that, "More guns lead to more gun crimes." It's totally counter intuitive but more guns lead to less crime. Numbers don't lie. They don't choose political sides. The worst crime ridden cities are almost all heavy gun control areas.
I live right up the road for Washington DC. One of the most dangerous cities in America, and also a "Handgun Free" city. Right. But hopefully that's changing soon when the DC vs. Heller decision comes back.

The CCW train just keeps on rolling! 48 states now allow some form of CCW. Wisconson and Illinios are the lone holdouts. I think Wisconson will come to their senses once governer Jim Doyle leaves office. He's votoed CCW laws on multiple occations.

If everyone gets guns, the criminals will simply shoot first, knowing that otherwise they will end up in a pool of blood. Even if 90% of the people who got robbed/mugged/raped would've got away if they had guns, the rest would simply be dead by now, unable to tell the tale. With guns people end up shot, crippled or dead, with bats and knives there's a much greater chance of recovering within a year - and live. If guns will be all thats left, almost every time there's a fight, someone will die.

Actually, the thing that most criminals fear most is an armed victim: They would rather choose another target then "shoot first."
With bats and knives, there is a great chance that you will die or end up maimed and crippled: Don't so casually suggest that you will simply "recover" in a year.
One hit on the head with a bat or one stab to the gut is enough to kill you.
You really need to read the statistics on the amount of murders committed by blunt force trauma or stabbings.

Hyey DameonWolfDemon, I felt the same way and changed my mind thanks to all those here on Youtube who helped show me what this could mean "in the broader scope of things" while I was still in "tunnel vision " mode and not aware that I was. I was pissed off at protestors and all that but I finally GET IT thanks to these guys persistence and for the imformation they gave me on every front on whats going on here now.

The Czech republic also has the right to carry guns and Im actually proud of that. Its almost the only European country that allows its citizens to carry a concealed weapon on their person and does not require them to demonstrate a specific need.. like the shall issue in the states...

Sorry to nit-pick, but you said "people *should* have the right to carry guns". We *do* have the right to self-defense. The question is whether our government will violate that right or not. The right isn't granted by the constitution; the constitution isn't the source of our rights.

I used to be very much for gun control as well. Forever singing the mantra that, "More guns lead to more gun crimes." It's totally counter intuitive but more guns lead to less crime. Numbers don't lie. They don't choose political sides. The worst crime ridden cities are almost all heavy gun control areas.

Check out the statistics and people will see that this statement is true. Vermont which has unrestrictive hand gun laws also has some of the lowest incidences of violent crimes in the US.

The CCW train just keeps on rolling! 48 states now allow some form of CCW. Wisconson and Illinios are the lone holdouts. I think Wisconson will come to their senses once governer Jim Doyle leaves office. He's votoed CCW laws on multiple occations.

This is a very informative video, thanks. Criminals will always find a way to get their hands on a gun, it's a shame that congress continues to try and take the right away from law abiding citizens. This is why all gun owners should be a member of the NRA. The NRA keeps you informed of what they are trying to accomplish and what's going on in congresss. I love being in Utah for this reason, I have taken the concealed carry class and am notw in the process of submitting my application. No matter how hard politicians might try, they won't be able to ever control criminals. But I will not let my wife, family or myself become victims if there is anything I can do about it. never stop fighting for the freedoms you have been guaranteed. The Liberals/Democrats have every intention of taking away as many of your freedoms as they can.

As living human beings every one of us have the right to preserve our wellbeing by whatever means necessary. "No gun zones" and states which prevent individuals from doing so violate our basic natural right. The fact that the policy makers are scared of guns is not a sufficient justification for the deaths, rapes, robberies, and other crimes that are ultimately preventable and unnecessary. Just my opinion.

When will people realize that they have to take responsibility for their own life. All these politicians that keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens have protection from security, where as a regular citizen does not. They write these feel good laws, but are already protected themselves. If you're a law abiding citizen, and live in a state that allows the right to carry, exercise your right!....it just might save your life or someone else's.
