As far as producing, I just uploaded my first beat, and I will say it is flawed and whatnot, but people have been quite positive there too.

I agree with a lot of what your saying, but what I look at is potential. Someone who's whack now might be ill in a few years. Also, some people call dope rappers whack because they don't feel their music, it doesn't suit their taste. So I wouldn't like gangsta rap fans telling, say, political rappers they suck. I'd like to think that wouldn't happen, but it would. Overall, I agree with you. People should never depend on their music career unless they've already blown up.
