  • beautiful song, the koto intro melody is especially beautiful and heart-moving, nostalgic and natsukashii.. but this is performance does not nearly do it justice. 尺八 your sound is supposed to emulate the wind, not your body, oscillating like the wind is blowing you... lol

  • It has nothing to do with race, but they lack talent in this piece. I feel bad for those who had to sit through this performance.

  • Lacks sumo guys shouting "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" j/k its great

  • I love hearing the koto but this particular piece is jusy s.h.i.t. and made worse by being recording with the treble settings set way too high. This sounds to me like a caucasian rendition of of a neo stylistic cover of a classic and it simply doesn't work. I have Falconers cd's and she is normally exceptional, if a little too 'commercial', and this isn't either.

  • only a native perform best on its traditional instrument and present a beter face of its culture

  • ELIZABETH FALCONERRRRRRRRRRR!! <3

  • this song really lacks something, i can't tell what, but i hate it

  • @mrsoultwister Everything sounds mechanical. There's no organic... soul to the playing.

  • awsome

  • Ahhh, excellent!!! Thank you sooo much.

  • does it really ,matter what race they are in the enjoyment of music?

  • its like saying the Japanese people can not play the piano or such

  • u dont make sence dude

  • No one would want 'cause they'd be rusty.

  • Maybe the other way around? LOL.

  • I wanna learn! Its so amazing the way it sounds ^^

  • Nice video

  • This piece can be heard on a just-released CD, "Spell of Spring: Selected works of Sawai Tadao". Available at cd baby, amazon, etc.
