He got into the mentality that he was in front of the net and when the puck showed up, your gut reaction on offense is to shovel it into the net, he just happened to be on defence. I've been at this game, this one was unbelievable. The atmosphere was great, couple of thousand pens fans at the Verizon center who went nuts after that goal. But the whole game was amazing. Definitely one of the best hockey matches I've seen.

Backstrom is an excellent player, but is, quite frankly, not nearly talented enough to reach 100 points, at least not next season. Perhaps in the next few years he will step up to a more prominent role on the team, but for now, he will for the most part be in Ovechkin's and Semin's shadow.

Washington will definitely need more depth from their players if they want to advance further in the playoffs next year as well.
