I just want to say how proud I am of the men and women who work for the United States Millitary and fighting for our freedom. I don't like the idea of countries going to war against other countries, but if it has to be done, then it has to be done. I wish that the Iraq and Afaghastain wars world end right now and everybody would just all get along and agree to disagree.
Loved the song and it means so much to me as a veteran and also having family who are veterans now and realizing what they went through while I was gone. I now understand the never ending fear and prayers you give every day for their safety. This song really hit home for me...thank you Paul and Julia!!
I was sooooooooooooooooo into Paul Rieser on The Talk. I immediately watched the video and now am trying to find the album. Talk about getting you to tears! LOVE it!
I saw Paul Reiser on "The Talk" yesterday and hearing the background of how this magnificent song came about, hurried to YouTube to hear it for myself. It is absolutely extraordinary!!!! It is a song we should bookmark on our computers and play periodically "lest we forget" what is happening beyond our little world - the drama of the soldiers and their families - their courage and their love. Thank you Paul & Julia.
I hope every person who may or may not really understand the sacrifices made by our military and their families, the average person on the street who doesn't understand, every service man and woman, and all their families and friends, get a chance to hear this song, via this video.
And may God bless our loved ones ... and bring them home safe to us again soon!
Thank you Paul and Julia. This is a wonderful song!
As much as I love, support and pray for our troops (and I really do), I think this song goes beyond all that, and perfectly expresses the feelings of those of us who send our loved ones out to serve and then wait for them to come home to us again.
And thank you to the one who put this video together. It's so touching!
I can't imagine the sacrifices they make. Not just the people serving, but their families waiting at home. I can't imagine being away from my family for so long. Such an unbelievable sacrifice they have made...for us, people they don't even know.
IM A VET AND IT TOOK ME BACK TO ANOTHER WAR . I FEEL THE PAIN IN MY HEART AND A GOOD CRY,HOPING ONE DAY THEY WILL UNDERSTAND WE CAN FIND ANOTHER CHOICE FOR WARS.
God bless all those brave service men and women around the world who put them selves in harms way to protect our great countries and keep us safe. Graham Jones UK

Beautiful tribute to all veterans. Thanks to Paul Reiser, as musical
composer & Julia Fordham's meaningful lyrics & voice! Reiser said
on TV today say - this collaboration was their contribution to
"The Wounded Warriors" organization - an excellent org to bring
awareness to everyone just what our service men & women have
given for our country - not just today - but *all* through the years!
