  • Helmet? what is wrong with people..

  • Ya well I agree with the lady who said shes not ready!!!!! Do u know how young that horse is!!?? I could even tell she got spunky and lifted her ears the wrong way when the women flicked that bag at the horse... Not good!

  • What the hell? The person on the ground should've been leading her...Not flapping a bag on the ground. Yes,we have used the paper bag trick to desensitize a horse...but never for a green horse being rode for the first time. And at :18 the person on the ground had the bag in front of the horse's face while she was bolting...That was not smart at all,and probably worsened the situation. The bag should've never been in there. and the so called "trainer" was a terrible rider. :/

  • @3beeme Yes, but why take the chance? If there was no rider then it would be a different story.

  • @3beeme I would hide the bag behind me or at least keep it down because it's putting the person on the horse at further risk. I don't know exactly what they have done, but it's important to work with the horse without a person on it first, getting the horse used to the bag, then moving to working with the horse while on it. Reward the horse when he's focused on you with a bag waving around, and if he doesn't then do a little more work to get the horse back on track. Works for me.

  • @3beeme The issue isn't really waving the plastic bag around. That I understand. It was raising the bag when the horse was spooked and running. They should get the bag out of the horse's view (Even if it's putting it behind your back), not raising something that scares the horse

  • I think the trainer was the one holding the camera... When a horse is spooked you don't yell. I have to catch myself sometimes when my horse is trying to spook and try not to yell out shocked. okay.... i'm done now.

  • How dare she call herself a trainer, even less an amazing. Any good trainer knows when to puch the horse and rider and when to retreat to let the horse and rider some time to figure it out. I'm extremenly disappointed as should be the trainer. P.S. hackamores are used on finished horses not one in training.

  • How dare she call herself a trainer, even less an amazing. Any good trainer knows when to puch the horse and rider and when to retreat to let the horse and rider some time to figure it out. I'm extremenly disappointed as should be the trainer.

  • The bag, that's standard... it's a desensitizing activity... helps make them spook proof. It's a way to show them that abnormal, noisy, and annoying doesn't mean dangerous. HOWEVER, I've NEVER seen a good trainer use one of those while RIDING, and never EVER on such a green horse! You generally walk the horse around and over it unmounted... leading, or use it on a lunge line. That's terrible riding and training... it really is. Take a class or something.

  • So who exactly is the trainer in this video? The rider was way overhorsed and the lady with the bag on the stick? I've seen the Arab people use that to jazz their horses up before they go in the arena, but for breaking a young horse? Becasue someone got hurt, I'm not going to laugh out loud. This was the blind leading the blind and if one of them was the "trainer" I'm shocked. I'm so sorry if I offend anyone.

  • AMAZING TRAINR MY ASS

  • "Told ya shes not ready"

    best quote ever

  • It's unacceptable and disgusting that what this trainer has done. No helmet while training a green horse? You've got to be kidding.

  • wooowww!!! both are stupid in my opinion to continue to hold a bag while a horse takes off with its helmet less rider

the rider NO HELMET ON A GREEN HORSE and she probaly told the lady on the ground to use the bag she should have turned in a circle she oviously didnt have a goodenough seat for this green of a horse

just my opinion and i would rather NO one responded since we all have the freedom of speech and id rather not recieve an angry replay

  • Idiots.

  • when she waved her arm it didn't look like it was broken

  • "Told ya, shes not ready" -The only horse person in that video! Like if you agree

  • ouch

  • um y did she keep the bag in the air when the horse took off. LMFAO

  • I believe with the very last words "i told ya she is not ready." Ya AMAZING horse trainer. whats with the bag? You need more direct rein. =) Hope you get back on.

  • One rein stop. all im gonna say :)

  • this trainer really is "amazing"...

  • what thu heck??? he bolted and you fell hahahahahahaha you r really an amazing trainer to fall when a horse runs... i am more than you r!!!

  • the comment at the end: "told ya, she's not ready"...is it a young horse??

  • omg ouch

  • No helmet? & you don't keep waving the bag when the horse has just bolted off.

  • ....that horse wasn't even bucking. How did you fall off?

  • Obviously she isnt not a very "Amazing Horse trainer" if she couldnt stay on that and yelled WHOAWHOAHWHOAH to stop the horse .

  • @SoberDevotion Woah is a voice command to stop the horse. But I agree if she's so amazing she could have stopped the horse.

  • wow u dont need a helmet and u need shorter reains and a bit ive trained many horses and ive never had a horse stop with a hack like that so u should try useing a bit and shorter reins

  • is the " amazing horse trainer" part sarcastic? >.<

  • heyy can i use this in my horse falls video? i will credit you

  • The bag on the end of the stick was for sacking out... it basically is supposed to help get them used to spooky and scarey things, and NOT be so jumpy. Clearly that horse needs MORE of that... although I don't think the bag was the only reason it spooked, it was probably a combination of being young, not used to being ridden, and the bag.

  • Hey everyone... My friend wants western riding boots for her bday... (since I know nuthin about horses) what is the best brand/ kind for pleasure riding?

    Thanks!

  • wow nice trainer, not really, she should be wearing a helmet for one and two they were waving a plastic bag behind the horse and you shouldnt do that unless you want to teach a horse to be afraid of bags

  • @jenn9794 actually, the plastic bag is used to train the horse NOT to be afraid - horses tend to get scared of unfamiliar objects, and it's most likely that when this horse is ridden out and about he will come across plastic bags or similar items. It's a very necessary way to train a horse, but this horse obviously needed to be taken a bit slower :D

  • @gabbybella123 if your using it to make the horse move, it will learn to run from it though

  • @jenn9794 i don't think it was meant to make the horse move.... the rider kicked the horse forward, and the bag was used to show the horse that it won't hurt it...but it failed on this occasion :p

  • @gabbybella123 not sure, there are both possibilities though, oh well :D

  • The rider isn't so 'amazing', the horse doesn't buck really hard..

  • Ouch!! Right on the gate!!

  • A helmet is probably a good thing to wear when training a horse. If that is what you were doing. It looked like it, because she didn't seem to have ANY control over the horse.

  • :| Why Did She Smack Her Horse With The Reins When It Was Cantering Around Thats Obviously Gonna Make It Go Faster :L

  • i LOe the lady in the mackground TOLLED U shES NoT READY!!

  • helmet would be an amazing idea and the person on the ground should have either hid the bag thing or stopped waving it. I don't really see how she fell off either.....maybe her foot got caught on the fence?

  • epic fail!

  • harlemmaneuvers you say whoa to stop a horse... hope she was ok!

  • @shananane Not all the time. Some horses respond to verbal commands, but not all. Most would respond to rein or leg pressure. And even if the horse was taught to stop when told to whoa, screaming it frantically is just not going to help.

  • @CowgirlPianist HAHA yeah screaming would defianately not help :P

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhuaa

  • God that is a sickening feeling when they take off like that and go that fast like at 0:19. Hope you were okay. Everyone makes mistakes, I understand this may not have been the best horsemanship but you guys need to understand that the person holding the bag on the ground was not trying to shake it, she should have dropped it, yes, but she forgot to, further scaring the horse. (continued in replied comment)

  • ... (continued from my comment) I doubt you guys have never had a mistake like this before in your lives. How about "I hope you are okay." and then calmly criticizing in a polite manner? Sheesh.

  • wow.......someone doesnt deserve their training degree........you should always wear a helmet on a green horse ......i train my own horses and i have 5 of them......i always wear helmet when training them.....its stupid not to and im only 14 soooo yeah i think you need to learn a lot more and for the chic that owns the horse i'd get a trainer that knows what the hell shes doing.......=P good luck!!!!!

  • If she can't keep her seat in a simple bolt she has no business riding a green horse(which I assume this was). I truly hope that this was a learning, and humbling, experience for her.

  • She ain't so good with horses is she? xD stupid.

  • hope she s ok hu was the woman tlkin about wen she sed " shes nt ready ?" the pony or girl??

  • shes not very good i saw her swing the rein wester is easy

  • oh lol and another thing..the person with the bag o stick..its still in the air!! lol PUT IT DOWN!!

  • thats not a GOOD trainer..a good trainer would work the ground first then not pull all the way back and still have more rein..work with a bit too..i agree with autochanges

  • Wow even I am a better rider than that person. All he did was what she said to do- Run.

  • She didn't tell the horse to run. She just told him to walk. All she did was click. I saw no kicking to make the horse go faster. or even a click after he started walking. The horse just took off. I"ve had a horse do that, but I didn't fall off.

  • not much of a trainer huh> i give her kodos from getting on but make sre the horse bendsbefore you get on..so you can one rein them!

  • the didnt even do anything. it just ran lol

  • ouch,hope shes okay..

  • lol at the end "Told ya shes not ready"

  • I don't mean to be rude but how do you expect to stop a horse with all that slack in the reins

  • UMM if she was any good she wouldnt have fallen off why did you put amazing trainer she fucking sucks if she was anygood she could have easly made him stop and what was she doing trying to train a horse well she shouldnt cause she dose not know what the fuck shes doing!!!

  • Everyperson has a bad day. I know my friend (Who is also named Kim) Is a horse trainer and is always getting bucked off or spun off her horses. IT's part of trainer. >( She's even broken ribs getting throw of a horse she was training and she just got back on and rode.

  • A good horse trainer shouldn't get bucked or "spun" off a horse they are training! The horse they are training should have the proper ground work done where they don't even think about bucking!

  • I can't believe she held onto the bag and kept WAVING it as the horse sped around.

Also the rider needed a helmet

ALSO freantic "whoawhoawhoaWHOA WHOA!!!" IS not what an 'amazing' trainer says to stop a horse.

  • agreed. That whole thing was a total mess

  • @HarlemManeuvers Yes. if the horse knows voice commands, whooahh is what you say to try and slow the horse down, but also pulling the reins back would be a good idea aswell.

  • @HarlemManeuvers they are not pro . She wasnt even kicking the horse.. no QUES! spooking the horse to go forward. All i could see a horse being a run away.. =/ and she falls off.. needs to learn to sit her sit?? maybe.

  • @HarlemManeuvers and also having supper loss rains like that dont help

  • @LoveRockStarPrincess When you're training a horse to neck rein, that's how it's supposed to look.

  • ummmm did u say amazing trainer?? shes not that good

  • great traier alright!!!

  • God damnit! fucking idiots, the rider doesn't have a helmet and sucks to stay on it's back! And what the fuck is the person on the ground doing?? scaring the horse to move?! PEople like you deserve a punch in the face.

  • How did the 'trainer' fall off in canter? the horse wasn't even bucking! lol

  • it looked like her reins were way too long and she wasn organised enough to pull up the horse and lost balance, it happens all the time

  • Yeah, I didn't notice.

  • @eliselip stop with the helmet thing... it's her choice and she choses not to wear it, so back off. how would u like being made fun of for wearing one?

  • @cowgirljess718 Hmm..her choice, yes. If she dies, it's her choice. But, if she were to become paralyzed, who would be stuck with caring for her/paying for her care? Her family or closest relatives, and then she would just be a burden. Helmets save people, and not just from dying. I'm not saying that wearing a helmet is going to prevent every serious injury, but it's the most important step in horse safety. And if someone made fun of me for wearing a helmet, I honestly wouldn't care.

  • @CowgirlPianist 49% of brain injuries severe enough to require hospitalization are a result of car accidents. do you wear a helmet when driving your car? do you make chhildren wear them? this is a form of protection readily available. through race car drivers we know it is form of protection that works. you don't do you? why? because you would look silly? get laughed at? So for fashion you put your health at risk.

  • @CowgirlPianist I will add that I will never discourage a person from wearing a helmet. I have even encouraged a few nervous riders to do so. If someone laughs or ridicules you for wearing a helmet then they are complete and total idiots. I disagree about helmets being the most important step in horse safety. if you fall off you get one wack if your dragged your in a lot worse position. proper footwear and foot position in stirups is far more important.

  • @eliselip So do ones with a poor mouth like that.

  • @eliselip what she was doing with the bag was sacking the horse out. by not knowing that and posting your moronic statement you proved your ignorance in regards to training horses.

  • uhhh ... thats no amazing trainer.

  • If the girl was a horse trainer(and appanrently she ain't) She would have stayed on. For fuck sake the horse just took off.

  • 1. HELMET

    2. The person holding the whip with the bag should have dropped it instead of keeping it up in the air further spooking the horse

  • Youre Kim isn´t a good trainer...

  • actually, i was wearing my helmet and my horse spooked at a show and i fell and got a concussion even with a helmet. It would have been worse if i wasnt wearing one i got of had more damage i suppose but she should have been wearing one.

  • no helmet? BAAAAAAAD MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fell recently and would have easily got concussed if i had no helmet!

Really, its no hardship to wear one!

  • 1 wear a hate its selfer

2 the horse looks rli young

3 shes look not ready yet

    4WEAR A HAT lol

  • a prey animal panniced again not horse or riders fault, just nature, the biggest thing we need to remember is if you are going to train horses they are not human then are horses so treat them like one

  • ok first off, the horse was ready, you need to get on she never bucked she ran the girl fell off nothing to do with the horse, sometime u can all the stuff in the world to get your horses ready but some of them are never really ready, our main goal as horseman are to try not to let the horse get troubled but it still can happen, but if you watch what she did when the horse jumped the firsttime she squeezed her horse because of our preditor insticts not her fault again and the horse being...

  • she's not ready at all!

  • she needs to hold alittle tighter on the riens bc if u notice when she went to pull the horses head her arm was clear back almost behind her u always hold the reins where u can feel thier mouth but arent putting pressure on it espiecially when ur working with desensitizing the horse that seems unsure about it by how it looked maybe u should try all that on the ground first without the saddle if u already hadnt tried that

  • Oh MY....horses are sooo kind....there should be a lot more bodies lying on the ground otherwise....why are people so dumb....at least put a helment on...makes it easier to clean up after you split your head open...bet cha never do that again....(dont' worry we've all done dumb things.)..I just dont' believe i'd put it on the internet for all to see.....good luck to ya...

  • what knobs, if she broke her are why wasnt she screaming or look like she was in pain??????????????????

  • also.. with all the Bomb Proofing contraversary..

i agree its a great idea. and a great thing. but if your unsure of the horses reaction its best to do it on the ground till the horse dont even flinch at it.

and yes the girl in the center did make it worse by not dropping it, plus she waved it in the air... and the woman riding.. try to be a lil quieter with your hands when your horse is running. smaking it on the rump only makes maters worse in my opinion. ah GOOD LUCK WITH THE TRAINING :D

  • okay. wow. with all the conseversay on the helment subject. i admit i dont always wear a helment. but while on a green horse, or a horse that bucks ect. its just a good idea. expecially in a metal round ring. thats just safety. but like some ppl are saying.. your choice.

and its also a good idea if your not a experienced rider... the woman in this vid just slipped off. the horse didnt buck big. owell. we all have are accidents. :]

  • not wearing your helmet?? uhm.. thats not that good...

  • And that would have hurt!

  • hahah that was funny.

  • hahaha told you she's not ready...

    love it

  • o.m. g

PEOPLE! No one knows bout horses i can see cause they were BOMBPROOFING! Me and my friend were doing this yesterday with her arabian so that she can be ready for anything...including a bag flying though the air

Think . If you see the bag 50 times then it gets LESS scary. The more you see a scary clown face the less scary it is.

  • if the horse was truely scared of the bag, she would have spooked once it was brought into the ring. That horse just wanted that girl off.... and while the horse is bolting, the girl actually swings the reins and hits the horse in the butt!

  • ok by the sarcastic title of this video, Im guessing this girl thinks she an amazing horse trainer? what has she accomplished to make her so good? and you english people out there making comments like its life or death that she not wearing a helmet: not a big deal! yes there have been accidents and people have gotten hurt, but its really up to a persons own judgment. I dont personally wear one, because my horses dont buck, and if they spook, I can react fast enough to stay on!

  • Bloody Idiots!

  • OMG! Stupid person with the bag! Ya, when the horse is spooked you dont make matters worse by waving around some more, you DROP, it!!!

  • Famouse or not, she should wear a helmet

  • well. she was amazing lol the horse settled down reallyyy well haha, the fall looked painful!

  • are you sure she is a horse trainer? , she isn't wearing a helmet for a start, and the other person just keeps waving that stick around.. unsafe!!

"I told you, she isn't ready.." isn't ready for what? if it's horse training or riding a horse that dangerous, then i totally agree.

  • it was annoying to hear the backround person saying told u so...thats NOT WHAT U SAY WHEN SOME1 BREAKS THEIR RM ON A HORSE...

  • omg!! that must have hurt!!

  • i juts love there person in the background :L

  • i luv how da lady holdin da camera goes

'told ya, shes not redy' i find tht so funny!

  • that sucks

  • hey there, nobody gives a fuck about ur stupid opinions on a page with a video that has nothing to do with ur little rant about the olympics so please dont be a jerk and stop comenting about shit like that

  • You call That are trainer?? Pure idiots exactly... We train our saddlebreds with bags but we have curves in there mouth thats prevents that

  • i love how the girl is like half way falling off, then the other one with the stick just waves it around even more. pure idiots.

  • aint ready and have u heard of a helmat? just wondering

  • if the horse is CLEARLY taking off then don't raise the stick! that just edges it on. stupid. shouldn't be put into these people's hands.

  • Everyone calm down. Say you saw something scary next to you everyday for like 30 mins. After a while you would not be scared! They are bombproofing this horse thats all

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you. At least someone understands

  • first of all, i don't think that it's funny when someone breaks their arm... second of all, flagging makes sense, ok, cromwellandlucy? either way, the horse was just not ready to actually be ridden, and he got nervous, galloped with Kim on its back, and Kim got hurt. That explains it. If she' s not better yet, send my regards to her, and that she feels better.

  • how did she fall off anyway, he didnt buck or anything, just cantered fast :S

  • Um it was a gallop and if you look closely either the horse is like mine and when gets wild does what i call invisable bucks. You cant see them but, you feel them or maybe her foot got stuck in the fence and pulled her off. I broke my arm cause of the invisable bucks. haha

  • Ahahaha, im laughing because it ws your own fault, waving a plastivc bag around, why is it such an amzing horse trainer, pretty ubbish if you ask me!

  • its called desensitizing the horse to things that could be problems in the future...

  • are they trying to see how easy she spooks? cause a green horse or any horse for that matter wouldnt appreciate a bag on a stick flapping behind them, in a blind spot. Horses have a flight or fight instinct, either attack the bag or run away from it. its not bad to be scared, and the trainer was scaring the horse more by shouting woah woah woah at her. also, that was a western saddle. what a great rider, cant stay on riding western.

  • ummmm. i dont think the plastic bag on a stick really helps? i mean some horses really freak out at plastic bags. too bad

  • ok the plastic bag is called flagging it is not a bad thing to to ok you are supposed to make it so that does not happen its called decenitizing horsemanship

  • whoops i was in a bad mood when i posted that comment sorry i found out that my horse was being sold at a killer auction so yeah... i was pissed

  • what is it for? can someone explain it i dont see the point really.. :S

  • which is why its done.

  • Well its your own fault, like everybody else said , the poor horse doesn't even look old enough to be wearing a saddle! and you should of been wearing a helmet ... BAD RIDING

  • Told you, she's not ready =) lol

  • well the person in the middle doesnt help when the horse was bolting they were still holding the whip up and no helment? i HATE, HATE it when trainers dont where them its like they think there to good for one, well hah jokes on you know isnt it?

  • May you should try wearing a helmet and proper riding gear. How old is this horse? It doesnt even look old enough to be under saddle.

  • how did u fall?

you were on and then u started sliding....

sorry that happened! great job staying on on the first secs!

  • that is their right as the horse opjaagt you!

  • ok i dont think that horse was ready to be mounted and no offence but they colud have droped the pole might of help.

  • you could have alteast tryed to stop the horse..

  • Hey Joizeydevil why do u think Parelli is an idiot? Seems like a stupid comment.

If this game was playing right no-one would have go hurt. It is about both parties being able to read the horses body language, and of course if you wave the bag behing him u and asking for trouble. Parelli is a great trainer and his methods used correctly will produce great results.

  • Ha. I did that once... Exactly like that too. She smack her arm on the fence? Thats EXACTLY how I did it.

  • Parelli's an idiot.

  • parelli is a great trainer w/ a great training program But in this game your not supposed to have some1 on him It is supposed to be in a halter and long lounge line I dont know why you were lounging with the bag- but at least you were doing natural horsemanship- im a big time person for that All my horses are trained that way And what is up w/ the reins? they are to long she has to pull her hands past the saddle! you still flung the bag at him when he moved off while saying whoa! not being mean.

  • you should really face the horse up to the scary object when playing this game.. I could see that the horse looked very introverted.. I'd watch out for this.. This means that the horse will give you a sense of being ok, but then he will explode from out of know where.

  • wow. that is all that i am going to say. (not a good thing)

  • My last fall broke my arm to so i know how it feels.

  • I do think though that if you are going to sack a horse out you should do it without a rider until they are more at ease with the idea and if you are going to ride them when doing that you should use a bridle and bit with proper reins, that way you could have turned the horse in a tighter circles to help stop him and this could have probably been avoided.

  • Ouch that has got to hurt!!!! I fell on a wooden fence befor and hit my back and that really hurt but this fall looks even more painful! Btw the fall wasn't off my horse it was off a roping horse that always would go running for the gait. My horse is to lazy to take off like that lol.

  • ouch r u ok my horse jult like that aswell wen they sit backhope ur ok

  • OK Can I just ask why the hell they think a whip with a bag on the end is a good way to train a young (what looks to be a young) horse? And by the looks on the girls equitation she is no where near ready to be training a horse on her own! The woman recording is right ... SHES NOT READY.

  • haha yea she really broke her arm!

  • Did she really break her arm?? I didn't see her hit it. I thought she was going to hit the fence for a minute.
