Nobody can mistake this voice-Arthur was Head boy when I was in 5th Year (LOL Mr Anguszero) and I had the pleasure of taking over the reins from him a year later. Nicer person you could not meet
I have to agree with tobian84; this is Arthur Cormack singing. I don't believe Blair Douglas sings, but he is an excellent performer and writer. I've met both he and Arthur in my passings. Arthur actually was an adjudicator in a Mod I participated in a few years ago. Sadly, my Gaelic is not what it should be and I placed near the bottom. Oh well.
While this selection WAS produced and arranged (and composed, I think) by Blair Douglas, the vocal--according to the liner notes of Gaelic Scotland, an excellent anthology CD I'm lucky enough to own--was performed by Arthur Cormack. His main claim to fame was winning the Mod (a festival of Gaelic singing) at the unusually young age of 18, back in, I believe, 1983.
@tobian84- After looking it up...I understand now that the back on the CD cover was wrong and that IS Arthur Cormack singing and NOT Blair Douglas (I didn't buy the CD and looked at the linear notes).

This song is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Arthur Cormack has a stunning voice.

I've been listening to this on the Road Home CD - it's absolutely beautiful. When the organ comes in at the end it brings tears to my eyes...
Like your images too...
