  • I am with you sister...there are ALOT of women who dont want to look down at their food & see blood red...or even pink!! So, please do not feel that you need to apologize for YOUR preference...to be honest, I love your vids because they give me the info I need, which is how long to cook for medium well/well done...thank you! Keep up the GREAT work!

  • @AfroScentRicHaven Thanks for your sweet comment! I appreciate it!

  • Hi Betty, will you demonstrate a recipe for Beef Wellington? Thanks :)

  • @bbughtiful I will do that someday. It will be awhile; I think most of my viewers are looking for average, everyday foods that are economical and easy. But, I do plan to make Beef Wellington in bettyskitchen at some point.

    --Betty :)

  • Just like the title..... Its mouth watering!

  • @Kaleighization Thanks!

    --Betty :)

    --Betty :)

  • I'm vegetarian and I think it's better.

  • @ublazzz It may be better, but it's hard for a lot of people.

    --Betty :)

  • thanks Betty im making the steak tonight! ill try not to let you down! lol

  • I like you Betty. I don't know why people want to make ignorant comments. I'm sorry there are so many ignorant people in the world. Thank you for your video. I'm about to try my t bone this way. I'll let you know how it turns out.

  • @brendology Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Whats in the meat tenderizer? salt ?

  • @PlebScrubber The tenderizing comes from papaya, a fruit. You can get meat tenderizer that is salted or unsalted. I used the salted variety in place of salt.

    --Betty :)

  • @ihaveairlockers btw kudos on thinking somoene with the name yankeez99 was an american lol man nothing gets by your my dear watson

  • @ihaveairlockers you are trying so hard trying so hard but you cannot avoid the simple truth:

"Please impress the average people you are used to with an "education easily gained with 1.50 in late fees at the public library" - just a humorous reference to your pompous attitude simply because someone questioned your unfounded statements"

Lemme know when you learn something rather than wikipediaing and regurgitating. "Zillions of Studies" that one made me laugh thank you :)

  • @ihaveairlockers Really I don't see them removed lol BUT do you know what the burden of proof is? it lies on you since you made a claim you cannot prove. Please impress the average people you are used to with an "education easily gained with 1.50 in late fees at the public library" - just a humorous reference to your pompous attitude simply because someone questioned your unfounded statements lol nice to have danced with you sir but next time perhaps a partner on your level.

  • @ihaveairlockers Well can you show even one study out of the "zillions"? no be cause on such definitive study exists lol you can beat around the bush all you want but NOTHING except radiation is a definitive cause of cancer PLEASE do your research :) But like I said you don't lose any vitamins and minerals and do you believe diet coke causes cancer too? :P

  • @ihaveairlockers I think what deputysheriff100 and I both were saying was that we did not like our steak bloody, so we order it well-done, meaning no pink showing. This is not burned. I wouldn't eat burned steak, either, and I do recognize that burned "anything" is carcinogenic, and would stay away from it.

    --Betty :)

  • @ihaveairlockers Excuse me if you are upset by my comment but that's not my intention, it just irks me when someone states "facts" that are unfounded and not "proven" anywhere.

The only definitive cause of cancer is radiation, and thats definitive. I hope you aren't a believer in the propaganda spread about Diet Coke also causing cancers.

Also Steaks 1 major "vitamin mineral" as you stated which it's neither but one beneficial factor which is Protein and you do NOT lose any protein by cooking.

  • i like my steak medium

  • Betty, thank you for your response. I work with a lot of Deputies who think that something is wrong with me. BUT, we all do it in good fun. When we go out to eat all the Deputies say this guy is the abnormal one. LOL. I love to cook and I watch all of your vids. You do a GREAT job. When I signed Georgia Boy, that was just so you would know that I'm from the South as well. Also, just as an aside, I graduated from Atlanta Law School in 19179 with a LLB.

  • Hey Betty. I like my steaks well done also. If my wife and I go out to Long Horn or somplace like that I have to tell them I want mine burned. The cook always comes out and explains he can't be responsible for it. I say, "it doesn't matter I'll eat it" I have to order mine burned and it STILL only comes done. Can't help it but I just can't eat red meat like that. Burned tastes great to my. Love your vids, ma'am. Georgia Boy

  • @deputysheriff100 Hi Georgia Boy, I have experienced that so many times at restaurants! We just love steak, but I can't eat if its dripping with red juice! Thanks for your nice comment.

    --Betty :)

  • wahhh...im craving... :))

  • I like my beef well-done too.

  • Good looking steaks.... Also if the steak to big for you, just get a thinner steak like 3/4".

  • I like my steak a bloody mess.

  • Thanks betty il try to cook this. looks amazing

  • Right now I am cooking a 750gm T Bone steak.

    Grain fed 150 days.

And while it cooks on my grill I am drinking a nice german beer.

I would like to thank Betty for inspiring me and many other people !

    Thank you :o)

  • whats so bad about well done =)?well yes steak taste the best at around rare-medium... but welldone is good too =) some people dislike the taste of the blood inside or some people cant really take in the uncooked part.. some people likes welldone steaks too.. =))

  • is it ok if i just pan fry it?

  • @911Rockmaster That sounds wonderful! Thanks for the great tip!

    --Betty :)

  • Very nice video... thanks!

  • @fialee8 Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Perfect !

  • @catdog262 Thanks so much!

    --Betty :)

  • When I grill steaks, I go a little heavy on the pepper and salt, and I like to take a brush, and brush a little bit of olive oil on. Once on the grill each side gets a another brush of olive oil, I find it gives the steaks a more well done look, but also keep the outside moist

  • @cuttinhorse101 That method sounds wonderful! Thanks for the tip!

    --Betty :)

  • Im a guy and I like mine medium rare. guys are jusat more primitive i guess when it comes to meat. great video!

  • When i was in Kentucky USA I had a Blooming Onion. Any ideas how to make it ?

Tonight i am cooking T Bone steak on the gas cast iron bbq. They are 700gm each.

    Just made the salad ready.

I had a few minutes spare, just thought i would look at how other people do it.

I just cook it medium rare.

I am in outback australia at the moment

Regards to all carnivores out there !

  • Blooming onions are not that difficult to make--I will do a video on them sometime, if I ever get caught up on my request list! Thanks for your comments! Your steak and salad sounds great!

    --Betty :)

  • @ihaveairlockers Its funny if I go out to eat I get medium rare, but if I'm cooking steak at home I love well done.

  • I recently found your videos and have been hooked on them! It will take me awhile to view them all, but I intend to! Thanks for making them so informative and appetizing! I am interested in using the Adolph's meat tenderizer. Did you get that large container of it at Costco or Sam's Club?

  • Thanks for your compliments! Yes, I got the Adolf's meat tenderizer at Sam's Club. Those last *forever*! Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • Beautiful! I must get me some of that Adolph's meat tenderizer, haha =]

  • Thanks for commenting! I use Adolf's meat tenderizer (No MSG) on steak, chicken, anything that goes on the grill. I think it helps the flavor and the tenderness.

    --Betty :)

    --Betty :)

  • it looks like you don't teach in the university anymore!!!

  • No, I retired 4 years ago. Making these videos takes the place o f teaching!

    --Betty :)

  • ok your husband gets better looking every time I see him !! How long did you grill the medium for??

  • My husband will be happy to hear that! The steak was grilled about 5 minutes on each side. Of course, that will vary with how hot the grill is, etc. When we started grilling, we took meat off the grill as soon as we thought it might be done. That way, it didn't get overcooked. If it wasn't just right, it went directly back on the grill, until we started getting the idea of how it looks at a certain degree of doneness. I hope this helps... Thanks for writing!

    --Betty :)

  • What did you two teach? I am in graduate school for Sociology intending to become a sociology professor.

  • I taught mathematics and computer science. My husband is a lawyer, and he taught in the Department of Justice and Safety. Sociology is a great field! My business partner is a professor of sociology, and he served as an associate vice president of the university for several years--Great profession to go into! Good luck!!!

    --Betty :)

  • Yummy! :-)

  • Thanks--more to come!
