Where they get you on those jobless numbers is in the fact that all they count are people who receive unemployment benefits... I've been jobless many times but I've never been eligible for unemployment benefits. I don't know what % of people without jobs are, but the criteria have been tightening under Bush (and further back)

The stimulus served the purpose of all economic policy in our government... to maintain a system of siphoning wealth from the middle class and working poor to the rich.

these numbers are bullshit........ this is where I have a problem. when they refer to "Depression" levels........ they compare numbers counted a different way to the modern counting system. THIS IS BULLSHIT.......... I did the numbers a few weeks ago and came up with 24.3% counted the old way (give or take). WTF? Why do people continue to compare this shit- its apples to oranges.

There were several news reports in the last day or two that the recovery has started and the recession is over. What a joke. I suppose the media is so convinced of its powers of mind control that they can tell us anything. Perhaps it is still working for some but that may get harder to do when the whole country is out of work and homeless.

Official figures in my state are OVER 10%. - the real numbers are much higher. JP Morgan posted a huge loss for 3 quarters in a row, and they are giving 3.9 billion in bonus money to their - 73% of their entire revenue. Nice stimulus, wouldn't you say? Until people take to the streets + shut this country down, nothing is going to change. And quite frankly, I don't see this happening anytime soon.

It will happen, once things get bad enough, but we have a little while to go yet before it is felt by 80% of the population in a major way. By the time people hit the streets, around here, they will be rendered powerless from the outset. For awhile at least. You cannot fight this type of system with individual weapons, guns or otherwise. Peopl;e for get, Obama's stimulus stated that for state to get the money, the state must get as many people on welfare as they can. So right off the bat 28 states turned it down. After going through, the state found alittle money here alittle money in the stimulus, they could use that the governmnet would have total control over the state. that's the main reason most of the stimulus money is sitting in limbo.

But I might be worng in saying that that Unemplyment figures in the US are based on U3 numbers these days, not the old U6 numbers from the department of labour as they were during the great depression? If you take the current U6 numbers what is the real uneplyoment number in the US? What would that really mean not only to the US but the entire world if that was the case? The truth is out there. The reason unemployment levels fell is because when a persons Benifits run out they no longer are counted as being unemployed.They are put on the list as being back to work.I was counted as being back to work years ago when my benifits ran out.Its just a big scam.

When I see Goldman Sachs unemployment rate higher than the rest of the country, then I know we're on the right track again. But seeing as how GS has done a silent coup of government, we can no longer look to DC to fix any problems. I think we must do it ourselves by forming our own local groups and ignoring federal govt. If the dollar seriously falls, then the federal govt may lose all legitamacy anyways. There will be lots of pain in the transistion though. Like giving birth. Argh!

The video I posted a few weeks ago goes roughly by the U6 reports and some other "higher" estimates that put the total of unemployed (on and off benefits) and the UNDERemployed at around 50 million (if I recall correctly. My damn video will not load and there are so many numbers in my head right now I cannot accurately recall the exact figure).But even so...6,000,000 people or 50,000,000 its too many.

In britain, they send you on a government, job club type affair(if unemployed for 6months or over), it's bs, but while on it, your not counted as umemployed and afterwards gives the appearance as being unemployed for under 6 months(giving the appearance of no long term unemployed).....So basically, it looks as if hundreds of thousands have been unemployed for under 6 months...when many of them have been unemployed for years....

meanwhile more jobs are being lost
