Only Americans are foolish enough to take pleasure in things like pieing, food fights and piano smashing. An example of a society that's been spoiled by economic welfare to such an extent that there's no more respect or morals left. And I couldn't care less that the piano wasn't functioning. It's like chopping limbs off of a dead man's body, pissing on him and having sex with him before the burial. And then trying to justify it by saying "Who cares, he was dead and going to be laid out anyway."

What a bunch of ignorant jackasses. That piano is not old because it's older than 30 years.  My piano is from 1932 and it's STILL playing strong. There is NO such thing as a piano that can't be repaired. All pianos can be repaired. If you didn't want to pay to have it fixed, give it away.

ok, seeing as you lot are having a cry about it, let me explain that the piano was some old cheap brand, and at more than 30 years old it was already damaged beyond any (economically viable) repair. It was going out to the tip anyway so we broke it up to make it easier to transport. Also, it was a church piano, so there's no need to blaspheme. (Our church has three other pianos nearly as old and as damaged as that one that you can have if you really want to repair them).
