I just got this mobo today and I'm a little concerned because in the mobo book it says it only supports certain types of 1066mhz ram. Also I don't know whiether to get a Athlon 64 X2 or a phenom X4 I don't think this mobo supports AM3 so I can't get the new Phenom II X4???Any Suggestions
@upagainstinsanity16 either get a new mobo or follow what it says you can have i would get the better mobo like a m4a78-vm its only about £50 and supports am2 and am3 and the best cpu supported on it without a bios update is a phenom ii x4 945
Ive heard of this problem, all you need is a BIOS update and the 1066mhz ram is usable, i believe its usable before BIOS but only uses 800mhz until the update
I have the same board and specs, but with 2G less RAM. I have a Kingston 2G 800Mhz.
COD4 lags and audio is delayed.
Probably the RAM is causing the delays, i can't pin point the onboard GPU having the problem because it already has a 700MB memory size and i think that's more than enough to cover for this type of game.
What do u think missinglink, should i buy another RAM or a Video Card?
Thanks for the advice anyway ,but what do you think?HD3200 onboard is more powerful then 6600GT?Don't forget that 6600GT has 1000 mhz core clock...and did you know what txt fill rate and memory bandwidh HD3200 have?According to some information it has 2.0 txt fill rate and 4.0 memory bandwidh ,for the txt fillrate it's ok ,but for the bandwidh i hardly belive...
Honestly speaking The HD3200 is more powerful than a 6600GT, which can max both those games easily..you can test it yourself set to both highsettings and you will notice the difference you will understand what im trying to explain..both got the same memclock speed 500 MHz (1000mhz DDR)..but HD3200 can climb to a higher frequency and has the advantage on handling most demanding games of the year..ATI cards or chipset are faster than any other cards ive tried if you ask me..
i had a 6600GT and now i have a motherboard ecs with hd 3200, and the performances is very similar, but the principal advantage of 6600GT over the HD 3200 is the memory bus, but the hd 3200 is newer, dx10, and faster clock-per-clock
I agree with you man!! The HD3200 onboard has more support on modern games compared to the Nvidia 6series..If you have a 64bit OS on this RIG you will be able to enable more features on this motherboard it even got a hyper memory on it and it only works when on 64bit OS....
I Have an old GeForce 7100GS ,so can i run the HybirdCrossFire with this card ,or i must have an ATI card to run the HybirdCrossFire?By the way what such of cards you can combine with this utility?
Im sorry my friend but Geforce 7100GS is Nvidia you can only use that On ECS GF8200A Black Series Motherboard you can enable Hybrid SLI on this board!! For ECS A780GM-A Hybrid Crossfire will only work with ATI cards this are my recommended models HD4350,HD4870,HD3870 X2...you can choose any brand you like for as long as it is ATI chipset and Crossfire ready..and DX10 compatible..
Hey I recently bought an AMD 780G board with 2GB of RAM and tomorrow i should get Phenom 9550 Quad processor so would i be able to run this game on high details like you?And what about C&C3? How this game should go on this configuration?By seeing another videos people can't do any better than low settings on CoD4.I would like to know because tomorrow i should build up my PC.
Good choice choosing Phenom 9550Quad..for the memory you should atleast make it 4gb with the brandnames like CORSAIR XMS..or OCZ..and it would be better if you add a videocard on it such as HD4350,HD4870,HD3870 X2..this will add more boost on the games.. the ondboard can now enable you to run a HybridCrossFire when you will add a Videocard on the motherboard..And about the CnC3 yes you can run it at highdetail with the OnboardGraphics..ill post a video on it for you to see it..
the crossfire for the hd3200 is useless because it only works with ati 3 series and for a 30% increase of performance... you will pass that mark easily with any 4 series card and onboard disabled
I agree with you man Xfire works on 3 series..and it would be better to just add any 4 series single card model or x2gpu 4 series
this gameplay is just a demonstration on how the onboard graphics can handle games on highdetail for gamers who are in a tight budget and for those who can no longer afford a videocard..i am just showing performance and stability here on the motherboard and onboard graphics

at first i was worried cause frame rate wasnt great, but then i saw you were using onboard graphics, so when i add my xfx hd4870, i should get great scaling with amd's dragon platform. At least thats what they say. This video gives me high hopes on my new gaming machine. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching and you should Get one of this BlackDragon Series its cheap and its worth buying and its got HybridCrossfire if you plan to add ATI hd4870 on it just make sure you get the right parts like the processor and memory BRAND.. this motherboard is has a really good chipset and its really fast ..And it has above average framerates on games and can handle highdetail settings with no problem..
What!! thats impossible cause the default on my game are all maxed out and you even have more ram than my system..how many sticks of mem are you using by the way?if you got 4gb that would mean ur onboard will be on 1gb on mem cause the onboard has a hypermem feature it automaticaly adds ram to the onboard on every stick of ram you got on the motherboard..there must be something wrong with your set up or it could be your DisplayDrivers..
omg i dont know man, anyways ive sent you a message that has my system specs, also the only driver i installed was the one that came up with the Mobo, i just dont get why yours performs so much even though we have the same rig -.-
Yup i use FRAPS to record the gameplay and it still runs really smooth only 10% framerate is down when using FRAPS but the game was superb in Graphics and Details really Worth buying the TYPE of motherboard i use to test with this game the onboard HD3200 can really run on max details..
Ok ill be uploading COH soon ill post a gameplay using the onboard HD3200 ill set it to High Details but im pretty sure it will run really smooth even at high resolution..
I agree with that its really worth buying cause the motherboard itself got lots of cool features not only the on board graphics but over all it is a gamers choice.. as a gamer myself this is a kick ass..this motherboard supports most games onboard or with Pci-e GC on it at a low cost you gotta get one of this ECS A780GM-A motherboards
can i play this with high details on a 6850 Radeon HD

go to the big RAM company Crucial's site.
Crucial.c0m (and add /uk if you're in the uk... etc.)
then search your mobo, then cancel down all the slower types of RAM they have for your MOBO and see what 1066MHz they have for your motherboard.
Hope I could help.

@silverangel13ph the 700mb is shared tho so it takes what it uses from the ram but what about ur processor? cos with the ram u should be fine
