  • You're a true inspiration ! God bless you. For those who want to know what did she eat, she no longer used food as an emotional crutch, The weight fell off, easy. Less more to consume and therefore calories burnt. I take my hat off to you.

  • I lost 970 pounds. I feel so much better.

  • I think my heighest weight was 350 (didn't have a scale that went that high) I'm now about 293 (wsa 285 this weekend b/c I was sick) and I'm just getting happier and happier!

  • @MrRaccoon92 Well... it's easier to lose weight when you gigantic then it is if your average... Are you average? O.O

  • @daberko120ch actually i'm 19 Asian Boy with height 175 cm and weight 75 kg.. i'm planning to go 65 kg but it takes years for me to lost weight.. it is possible to loss weight faster when people around my size?

  • @MrRaccoon92 I would say for you that it would be quite difficult to lose that much weight. We have the same height and weight, and getting to 65 kg for me would be difficult.

  • @MrRaccoon92 Much easier to lose weight when you start a huge number. In the case of this woman, it was just water. In your case, it could be fat, so that takes time.

  • ohhhh, I so happy for her, is Amazing!

  • She's beautiful! I'm glad she brought it out to show the world. :)

  • Maybe she found Jenny Crack ??

  • I was looking for encouragement on my path back to health and wow did this do it. I have lupus, and although our situations are different, I can truly understand how alone she felt to be segregated from society. Thanks for posting this ...alot.

  • I thought they meant someone who lost 500 UK pounds.

  • I feel like a heel for complaining about the extra 10 or 15 pounds that I want to lose when this amazing woman lost the weight of 4 adults. I'm proud of you girl!

  • The ending where she smiles is so sweet and I am happy for her :)

  • That should be lose not loose.

  • I don't get how she exactly lost weight ?? But great story anyways

  • @twilighter3456 She filled the hole in her life that she had been hoping the food would do. She found a reason to get up in the morning and didn't need the food for comfort she had the people she met online. That is how she lost the weight because she finally felt good about herself and didn't need it as a crutch. Does that help? She is truly amazing :0) xxxJoolsxxx

  • I am so thankful that when I hit 300 pounds I woke up and said, I deserve better than this, and decided to get my life back. I feel so petty though in comparison to this lady, she is a true inspiration to those who feel, like myself that being obese made us subhuman. We are worth more than we realize

  • The way I see it everyone has a pet sin/something to be ashamed of. People who struggle with their weight are an easy target because it is obvious on their person that they struggle with healthy eating and moving. I think if people who spew hate and discontent had to wear that, they would see a whole new way that people treat them.

  • @MissAdelissa Obese have to go through the social humliation. That could be used as a motivator. I'm overweight by about 30 pounds and often told the usual remarks like "When is your baby due?". Of course, nobody around will stand on my side. Everybody laughs. But at the end, it does not matter. I use these remarks as a motivator.

  • WOWOWOWOWOW! =D

  • bill gates saved her life lol

  • "A ton of willpower" wouldn't it be a quarter ton of willpower?

  • If you are not a lion you don't have to be a pig.

Food is just a need not more than that, do not eat in unhealthy way.

Enjoy your short life. Great story, hopefully people with similar situation wont say I will keep my pounds because it is easier like that.

"Use your mind do not just have it" - my words.

But why I care? My metabolism and mind is completely different.

    Good health to all.

  • She's hot...

  • she is so beautiful (inside and out). incrediable story!

  • And the cat realized, she had a lap!

  • 5 people are still obese and envy her success..

  • @hardcandy1301 HAHAHAHAHA, so true :D

  • I know when I weighed 405 I felt completely miserable...now i'm @ 320 and going down, and I know how much better i feel!

  • @Brian211978 That's the spirit! Don't give up!!!!

  • @Brian211978 keep on going ;)

  • @Brian211978 When I was big, I remember feeling decadent and ashamed when I saw starving african children on TV. It's not easy to explain why but don't you feel that way too? I'm not trying to be an ass here, I'm really curious.

  • @Brian211978 you can do it! :)

  • @Brian211978

Yay! Good for you and keep it up. I'm so proud of you <3

  • @Brian211978 great!!

  • 12 years!!! Just unbelievable!

  • "She went on one chat room and then another, only to find that strangers responded to her thoughts, not her appearance."

Yes, welcome to the internet, where it doesn't matter how fat and ugly you are on the outside, you're still a moron.

  • I am a big fan of Dr Atkins but I lost about 40lbs on a low calorie diet, and then I decided to follow Dr atkins diet approach and I gained weight because i was eating about 10,000 calories per day. This was my daily menu: breakfast 6 eggs, 4 large sausage, 1avocado, and about 4 ounces of cheese; for lunch I ate about 2 atkins bars worth 420 calories and steak; for dinner I would eat from 7 to 10 pieces of fried chicken. i ate all this and i was gaining weight at a very low rate though.cal-count

  • @Gideon359 I was on low-carb diet like 4 years ago...Only 3 weeks but that was more than ENOUGH for me - I dreamed about candie and bread...And fruit,OMG (I barely allowed fruit to mysel). Terrible time! With other experiments, I lost like 15 lbs in 3 months on chocolate,Lol. Now I eat sweets every single day but try to watch other food. The result is constant 126lbs with 5`5``(it`s easy to keep fit in Russia). I think this is what`s called carb metabolism(I barely eat meat and crafty food)! :)

  • Why am I complaining about loosing 5 pounds xDDD

  • @SarahAkiraFerriera The last 5 pounds are the hardest to lose, it seems. There is a book about that. :)

  • I am eating atm and I feel like a sinner.

  • I don't think this woman needs to be your hero or anyone else's hero, she is her own healthy hero...and inspiration for anyone that has been in her own shoes...Bravo to her....

  • The really amazing story here is why people wait to get to 500-600 lbs. before they do something about their morbid obesity. I'm not going to give people credit for finally deciding to be a responsible adult.

If you mess your house up, live in it for a number of years, and then decide to clean it, you're no hero to me.

  • @Ataensic don't be so quick to judge someone before you know the whole story!!! For many obese people, food is used the way some use alcohol, pills, cigarettes, or any other addiction. She found her way back, and a healthy way to do it, and that deserves some respect, so get off your high horse!!!!. I weighed 275-300 pounds once upon a time, and found a way to take the weight off (I have a video up on youtube if you want to see pics) , so I know what I'm talking about!!!

  • @mom23wASD I'll stay on my high horse and continue to make snap judgments of those beneath me for as long as I'd like, thankyouverymuch. :)

Really, I'm happy you're a healthy weight now, and I'm happy for drug addicts that get clean, but I'm not going to idolize them. I'm sorry, but going to AA and getting sober doesn't deserve respect or a round of applause; I'll reserve that for our military men and women, genius inventors, and our leaders of production.

  • @Ataensic I will agree that our military, genius inventors, and leaders of production deserve respect. However, I believe that your attitude towards people that overcome addictions will one day come back to haunt.you. You can KEEP your high horse as far as I'm concerned.

  • @Ataensic When you feel suicidal, you don't feel like improving anything. I think she just let the situation get worse and hoped she would die ASAP.

  • WHY AM I COMPLAINING ABOUT LOSING 20 POUNDS?

  • Wow this woman is truly an inspiration. I'm having trouble just losing 30 lbs. lol. Congrats and best wishes to her!

  • she looks much older now

  • Well done to her!! this is an amazing story! you see people? It is possible! i can be done!!!! xxxx

  • @LifeLoveLiz Im 4'11 too... I weigh 144 down from 166 (my heaviest, and i am considered obese b/c of my height) I am reaching toward a goal of 115-110 pounds =)

  • @Mia1501

I wish you the best of luck! :)

  • wtf ! how can you let yourself get that fat? I hit 203! and I'm bitching!!

    and I'm only 5'9" .

  • She did such a great job!

  • Then the cat one day jumped on her lap and she realised she had a lap, sorry that made me laugh :d

  • wats that song?

  • That is am amazingingly insperational video. i cried from start to finish.

  • [continues] And considering my BMI was under 30, I can't even think of what kind of hell it must've been for her and other people in that situation. It's funny how the same people react positively to me when my weight is "normal"... I despise them. :-) And it's always so cute to see how shocked they are when someone gives them back their own medicine, especially when they least expect it - because if I see them treating another person the way I've been treated, I won't stay quiet and watch. :-)

  • [continues] ... their everything to make sure they stay fat or better: gain weight. In reality these people don't really want them to lose weight to begin with, who else would they then feel superior to? Who else would they be able to mock and torment so freely in our society? Every negative comment I got about my weight or looks made me want to lose weight less and less. Why the f... care? And every bit of love I received, made me lose it - and not because I was trying to lose it. [continues]

  • She seems like a really beautiful person, in every meaning of the word. :-) Having been overweight myself, I can relate to a lot of what she says although my case never was that radical. It's hilarious how people who make fat people's lives hell somehow seem to think they're doing a favour - hey let's tell her daily what a fat and worthless human being she is because she weights more than I do and she might get inspired to become the way I want her to look, in reality are doing... [continues]

  • yaayyy!!! i'm so happy! sorry i get so excited! good job!!! good job (:

  • This is my thoughts on her way of weight loss. I think it is great that she lost all that weight and that she did it by becoming happy and realizing her potential. Here is my problem. Just because she ate to stuff her feelings doesn't mean everyone does. People who only have to lose 20 to 50 pounds probably arn't eating for emotions. Yes some of them are. All I am saying is that sometimes people gained weight because they were eating the wrong food and not excersising. Hope I did not offend.

  • they should have used fatter hands

  • This is truly amazing. wow. i was amazed when i saw her now !

  • now if I want advice on losing weight, I'll go ask her not a fitness guru.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • cool and supposably women hav 2 work harder than men 2 lose weight because their birth machines

  • Loving oneself is not usually taught to us while we are young. Instead we are taught not to think too much of ourselves, not to be vain, be polite by not accepting too many complements. THAT'S A LOAD OF CRAP! There is nothing wrong with loving oneself for the beautiful person you are inside and there is nothing wrong with thanking people for complimenting your beauty. So sad that people judge others not on true character but on physical beauty with a counterfeit heart.

  • @Sashalani And the church said Amen! We are wrongly taught that it's a form of conceit to lover ourselves and accept that others find us beautiful. Well, weight gain like hers is what happens when you don't love yourself. When you embrace that you are worthy of respect, and some admiration from time to time it changes things. I love your statement, I couldn't have expressed it better. No surgery and she looks absolutely amazing!

  • That was sooo touching. Wow.

  • she looks great :)

  • I'm 341 lbs at this weight I can see how you can give up and I can see how it gradually adds up 10 pounds at a time.

  • This is such an inspiration to me, I'm 140 lbs and 5'11'' and have for years struggled to lose this 30 lbs I have hated so much. I feel I can do it now! I just need to find the confidence and love for myself. x

  • OMG when i saw that skirt i was like WHAAAAT???

  • Really intelligent and inspirational woman, incredible.

  • Very inspiring and she is such an attractive lady. Also check out the video called: Clent Manich's Weight Loss

  • Wow that is amazing. :)

  • Oh Jesus. She inspires me to lose the 10 pounds.

  • there is a biochemistry factor that allows someone to eat that much and not get physically ill, that makes someone still feel hungry when they should feel full

  • amazing, she reminds me of the great bette davis... must be that new found strength she found when she found herself, great story

  • BODacious supports all fat people!!!

  • She has got willpower thru the roof! It's amazing. She is a true inspiration!!!

  • so amazing!!!!

  • what a great success!

  • Why was her dumbass son bringing her 10 cheeseburgers?!?

  • By the way; she almost looks like Sigourney Weaver...another beautiful woman.

  • This wondferful lady is truly an icon. Watching her struggle with her weight, and finally building up the guts to lose it, and work at it, is inspiring. It makes me think I can do it, and I only need to lose about 40 pounds. Considering what she's been through, my diet should be a cakewalk!

  • am i right to think this ? she lost weight by tying on her computer every day ? or on a deeper level she lost weight because she found acceptance ?

  • Thats my mom and I am so glad she is a part of my life still.

  • 228 isn't necessarily bad unless you are short

  • @MusicJew158 I don't think I have ever known a woman who is 'healthy' at that weight, regardless of height.

  • Wow! You look great!! What an amazing, inspirational story! May God continue to bless you Nancy.

  • she looks great!:))

  • Anon isn't always cruel.

  • ive only lost 29 lbs.I have 90 more lbs to go.everybody keeps asking me how im losing it.?I tell them the three words nobody wants to hear."I ate less". its just that simple.I didnt do what every body else says there going to do when you talk weight loss.everybody always saise.I need to start walking or Ineed to join a gym. that not the answer. you need tofind what your resting metabbolic rate is.and eat 500 cal less per day.measure your food. keep track of calories.weight will fall off of you

  • @smithdsmit ty this comment really helped=)

  • wow and I thought losing 10lbs was hard. this woman is amazing

  • <---My weight-loss journey seems so tame in comparison, too. I take inspiration from this amazing lady, and I guess each of us has our own challenges, really. How are you getting on? @CoffeeSlave

  • This is amazing. People think weight loss is in 7 days. or in whatever amount. But it said 3 years. Thats commitment. Fat people think weight loss will be fast.

  • Need to know what she did to loose that, and she is a pretty woman, inspirational and amazing

  • this makes me think I can do it.. :d does anyone understand how she lost it?

  • This woman is an inspiration that anything is possible if you want to believe!

  • wow, inspiration! I just started my youtube weightloss diary today.... I hope I have the level of success that she did!

  • she's gorgeous now!

  • Hats off to this woman!! Congratulations to her!!!

  • Amazing! This is so motivating, and not just for people who want to lose weight.

  • God Bless her. <3

  • You are so stupid. You're really worried that she has no muscle? It would be better to carry around 500 extra pounds than be a little flabby. Get a friggen life!

  • Jackfrost, you can do it. I totally loved this video too. I need to lose weight as well. Last night I dreamt that I was scared of butterflies. I think they represent me changing and my fear as I diet. Scared of something beautiful. I do need to find peace in my life before I can be okay with losing this weight.

  • OK, I get what she's saying, that you have to find value in yourself. and a lack of self worth can cause you to stuff your feelings through food. So then, what is Oprah's reason for being over weight? She has everything, is loved by millions, yet she can't control her eating. Maybe Oprah isn't as together as she likes people to believe.

  • Food is an addition to some folks. Yes, we all value ourselves, but sometimes being addictive to food can kill us. Mainly hitting rock bottom wakes us up from a down fall.

  • @JQbono A person can be obese for a number of reasons, it does not have to be emotion-related. A friend of mine had to start taking a med when she was 32 yo that made her gain 100 pounds. She stopped taking the med and switched to another one but still has not managed to shed any of that excess weight. Some people´s brains simply fail to "tell them" when they are
