I said protoss because their average life + shield is higher. Having a spellcaster is another plus on top of that. The best way to open against toss is a three rax ghost timing attack, very hard to stop. emp units, cannons, dt's - levels the field. The spellcasters are op, more people need to use them.

@eldridful Not sure how to overcome the thor/tank/mm ball mid to late game as zerg. Just played on one of the newer maps for the first time recently and got maxed about 5 times... and crushed about 5 times. Had brood lords, lings, hydras and mutas... eventually transitioned down to roaches because I was going broke.

@ChrisGrandeJr That ball relies on your positioning. You should skip the lings and broodlords (lings will get blasted by tanks and unless you have enough broodlords the thors will stomp them cuz you can't retreat.) Hit the front hard with a roach/hydra ball and take mutas in from the side to make quick work of the tanks. Another possiblity is instead of hydras push hard with roaches and do a baneling drop over their army. Your timing has to be right or the thors will just shoot the overlords.

What I've learnt is that we make timing pushes against protoss players if we see that they have no saturated expo and less gateway units than expected, because that way we can make his colossus look like an idiot :D
