I know this was posted awhile ago, but how much of that could you actually do if the enemy was holding block, like they all do.? I'm trying to get better at this character. Just now bought it, and haven't played a fighting game since about tekken four.
@12Thewower lol the game strategy is the part you make up he just teaches you combos so when you get into situations you can punish and execute damaging combos. GREAT COMBO video i learned alot of this video
Ok I have a question.. everytime I EX in a combo I notice that your guy stands still. When I do it my charecter leaps forward cause if I don't I use the Focus attack.. If you could assist me in these sorta things along with a clue as to how to prevent being spammed by projectiles ( I has Super Streetfighter.)
can somebody explain to me how to continue a combo after focusing out of an attack?
i know how to do the move, then focus to stop it midway through. how to i get him to not go through the entire focus punch attack? it looks like he just dashes out of it
@pfde42 focus attack dash then wich ever move you wont to do. or you can cancel combo wich is alot harder to pull off... you have punch or kick and as you enter either one of these you quick press the focus buttons which makes you ex focus... so mny variations and these are mainly done with fight sticks
@MienB0i916 these combos are alll possible hench why he posted them to prove people like you that you can do this. all you need to do is fill your ex bar. only thing stoping you is timing and garding

@Drizzydid: Getting people in the Ultra Raging Demon is pretty hard since you can't combo it in, so you could try baiting people to get into it. It's a 50/50 game, so it's risky. One thing you can do is knock down your opponent and do a roundhouse kick to get close to them and be in front of them on wake up as you raging demon. If they try doing a normal move or grab, you'll get them. If not, they'll jump away. Another is demon flipping and cancel it to land right in front of them, then demon.
Another is knocking them down, then go for a cross up while they're still on the ground. Time it so you land and not hit them with the cross up at all. They'll think you messed up and try to grab you or something, but you raging demon and get them. Again, these are big risks. If you don't get them, they could punish you. Best ways are the ones where you react like if you block an uppercut, raging demon. If you block Blanka's slide or ball, immediately raging demon. Stuff like that are better.

I also use bison a lot too and his ultra 2 is easier to land so maybe i should main him and do akuma second. Because i like to use ultras because i like the flashy stuff lol. and psycho punisher you can surprise people with a lot. Both of them are the most badass fighting game characters. So evil you cant not like them lol. I will use akuma more to train him though.
@JCExclusiveVideos agreed missed air attacks or timed delayed moves are better and safer to catch someone "Slippin" i believe it is how the young put it these dayz.

My video is a short combo exhibition; his is a long tutorial so you understand how it's possible to do those combos... oh, and my video has the loop. :)

Akuma is the best character in the game, even better than Sagat, but nobody can use him to his fullest potential mistake-free because that's damn hard since he has low vitality.
This is the best Akuma vid I'v seen, well, with the exception of Alpha 3's V Akuma. Inspiring combo's. I struggle only with FADC after the Shoryuken. When do you start dashing? Before the FA even comes out? Very frustrating right now.
@Demono1191: I started with a stick and I'm going to end with a stick, but when there isn't a stick around, I don't mind playing on a controller... but I prefer a stick. lol. It's all about what makes you feel comfortable. If you haven't tried a stick yet, then go ahead and see if it's for you. And if you don't like the Japanese stick, try an American stick. If you don't like either, stick to the pad. :)
Im playing on a pad, took me a while to learn these combo on that fucking thing. I mess up the loop sometimes tho. I dont have the money to get a good stick :( wish we could get some matches, but i live in norway so the connection would probably suck.

what keeps you dedicated? i have a round 2 te stick (christmas unboxing) and i really wanna get into street fighter so how can you stay motivated to play SFIV all the time?
@COOLERU If you like playing the game, that you should be enough motivation, regardless if you win or lose the majority of your matches. The game I enjoyed the most was Capcom vs. SNK 2 and was dedicated to it because I had a lot of fun playing it. Nowadays, I play SFIV just because that's the only scene around. I still like playing 3rd Strike and CvS2, so I still play them because they're fun. SFIV is fun, too, but I prefer the others. I'm just hoping SSFIV will be like the older games.
@Cr4ck4lack lol. I play with the Soul Calibur IV Hori Stick. That's what I use at home, but I don't mind playing on the TE or SE sticks as well as the Japanese and Korean set ups at the arcade. As long as the buttons and sticks are working properly, I'm happy.

@Yahh698 I don't think there's an age limit. As long as you pay the registration fee for the games you want to enter, you should be good. I saw a bunch of teenagers, average age 15, playing Smash Bros., so if they can enter that, the other games shouldn't be a problem.
Well, if I got any closer, that double kick Roundhouse wouldn't come out. Instead, I would get the other Roundhouse kick. So that's the closest you can get so the double kick Roundhouse comes out. I hope that answers your question. :)

lol. Oh. No, I just press it. It doesn't matter if I hold back or not. The kick that comes out depends on the range. In the video, I just placed myself at the right position before I started the combo in order to get the Roundhouse double kick.

If you put a lot of dedication to Akuma, you can be top tier. It takes a lot of patience and 100% execution. One crucial mistake and all you opponent has to do is land a full Ultra (which was caused by the all the damage you caused, of course) , then you two are at the same level of life again. Ultras even the score ridiculously, so use Akuma wisely. I'm not trying to discourage you, but if you're going to go all in, make sure you go all in. Best of luck. :)

nice combos...but it's pretty disappointing that all that effort you put in 'em is totally pointless cause of the damage scaling. I totally digged that 30 hit combo against Gief, but well as I said...pointless, cause you can do the same amount of dmg with 10 hits.
combos are not all about how much damage they cause. Repetitive strikes no matter how much they pack are mainly used to dizzy opponents quicker, much quicker. Keep that in mind

what keeps you dedicated? i have a round 2 te stick (christmas unboxing) and i really wanna get into street fighter so how can you stay motivated to play SFIV all the time?

@COOLERU If you like playing the game, that you should be enough motivation, regardless if you win or lose the majority of your matches. The game I enjoyed the most was Capcom vs. SNK 2 and was dedicated to it because I had a lot of fun playing it. Nowadays, I play SFIV just because that's the only scene around. I still like playing 3rd Strike and CvS2, so I still play them because they're fun. SFIV is fun, too, but I prefer the others. I'm just hoping SSFIV will be like the older games.

@Cr4ck4lack lol. I play with the Soul Calibur IV Hori Stick. That's what I use at home, but I don't mind playing on the TE or SE sticks as well as the Japanese and Korean set ups at the arcade. As long as the buttons and sticks are working properly, I'm happy.

Everytime I want to give up on maing Akuma, I go back to this video and remember why I decided to main him in the first place.

Thank you for the kind words, brotha'. I wish I was able to rep Akuma in tournaments the way I wanted to, but since I haven't been playing the game, I'm doing terrible in tournaments. Let's see if I can have Akuma ready for Super Street Fighter IV at EVO 2010. :)

@Yahh698 I don't think there's an age limit. As long as you pay the registration fee for the games you want to enter, you should be good. I saw a bunch of teenagers, average age 15, playing Smash Bros., so if they can enter that, the other games shouldn't be a problem.

Well, if I got any closer, that double kick Roundhouse wouldn't come out. Instead, I would get the other Roundhouse kick. So that's the closest you can get so the double kick Roundhouse comes out. I hope that answers your question. :)

lol. Oh. No, I just press it. It doesn't matter if I hold back or not. The kick that comes out depends on the range. In the video, I just placed myself at the right position before I started the combo in order to get the Roundhouse double kick.

if that is true...dude i really respect that im a sagat user im good with him but he feels just to stiff and i sometimes feel shity for using such a strong player even though ppl say im very advanced with him,akuma flows so well tho but i suck with him i want to put that kind of dedication toward akuma but i guess i jus get dis couraged to easy

If you put a lot of dedication to Akuma, you can be top tier. It takes a lot of patience and 100% execution. One crucial mistake and all you opponent has to do is land a full Ultra (which was caused by the all the damage you caused, of course) , then you two are at the same level of life again. Ultras even the score ridiculously, so use Akuma wisely. I'm not trying to discourage you, but if you're going to go all in, make sure you go all in. Best of luck. :)

nice combos...but it's pretty disappointing that all that effort you put in 'em is totally pointless cause of the damage scaling. I totally digged that 30 hit combo against Gief, but well as I said...pointless, cause you can do the same amount of dmg with 10 hits.
But still an entertaining vid. 5/5

combos are not all about how much damage they cause. Repetitive strikes no matter how much they pack are mainly used to dizzy opponents quicker, much quicker. Keep that in mind

Hey JC, very nice combo video, you're the first Akuma besides myself that I see linking the Medium and High punch. I like the fact that your combos are well-suited for online games, I will be releasing a combo video soon enough with combos a bit like KYSG did with SF 3rd Strike (which are not really suited for online matches but are more fancy).
