Moreover if you make an extra Mac OS Extended partition for storing documents away from the boot partition, the OSX Lion will run much smoother too

I have this very same computer. I also play World of Warcraft. Though I can't run the graphics on ultra, I can run them on normal without turning shadows down or anything. Basically I run the game at default graphic settings. I rarely have any lag. I can go straight through highly populated areas and the game still runs smooth. Been playing on it for about 3 months now, and have had ZERO problems from WoW. Like I said, it will run on normal graphics perfectly, but not on ultra.
