  • the rarest are the spiral ludwig...see it at link.... badran106...2 are known...as a fact

  • @badran106

not true. there are several ludwig vistalite "patern C" drums out there. i own one, so i know there are not only 2. there are also kits like that for sale on ebay as well as the guitar center website. these are not re-issue or imitations, mine is a 1972; it's red and white barbershop acrylic in 24x14, 14x10, 16x16, 18x16.

the more rare of the vistalites are the 70's green or red kits.

  • £10

  • How much do you want for it?

  • i want this kit soooooooooooooooooooooo bad.

  • dude I wish I could get a cutout of this guys head and put it on mine while I'm playing drums or fishing or something haha just kidding, us drummer's are funny when we play, an old teacher told us to play by tthe biggest mirror you can find haha anyways i.d.c what ppl. say, that is a cool kit and you are good bro wish I could afford it

  • OK DUMMIES ILL CLUE YOU ALL IN. GREEN AND RED WHERE THE FIRST TO BE BOOTED FROM PRODUCTION. NOW DUMMIES GUESS WHAT?? YUP, THAT MAKES THEM THE RAREST..PLUS ALL THE OTHER PATTERENS...A...C...F....ECT...DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR STUPID MOUTHS. ITS MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE DICKHEADS...

  • @whokeithmoon Wow! You sure have a lot of useless info stored in your brain. You're so cool bro. Using all caps is fresh.

  • @whokeithmoon Most commentators on Youtube sound like idiots and open their mouths ( while typing I would imagine ) w/o thinking, if they're even capable of such a thing 2 begin with.

The degree of idiocy in regard to music and musicians on this site is mind boggling...this ones better than that...never knew music was a sport/contest...I can play better than him, but they'll Never post proof..wankers wanking, thats all I guess, silly me for getting pulled into it all.

  • @JNeifion yeah dumb ass wanker, what ever stupid asshole thought of that lame expression, i dodnt need a video on u tube to show everbody how good i am, i already know how good i am, and if you think putting your viseod on here is going to get you discovered, think again, drummers like you and the others on here are a dime a dozen...THERE EVERWHERE!!!..so just go play for grandma and grand pop at the local church social and keep dreaming...wanker?? sounds like your favorite pass time!!!!!!!

  • @whokeithmoon You're an idiot.

  • the rare colors are green, the candy cane (red-clear) smoke black.

    amber, blue/white combination.

  • Why does everyone compare and mention Bonham on these types of kits. Who cares who plays it? I get what I want for my sound and not someone else's sound.

  • @joeymcnew37209 When they say "Bonham kit" they generally refer to the sizes. He was famous for using the vistalites in large sizes though early jazz pioneers used these sizes much before Bonham.

  • Badass for an old terd haha just givin u shit man, good jOB

  • If I'm not mistaking clear is the most rare color of the vistalites. I have a blue kit which is I guess the most common.

  • @cloudmusic01 I believe green is the most rare of the solid color Vistalites. Also rare are many of the pattern/multi-colored Vistalites (swirls, stripes, etc). Clear, blue, and amber were the most popular.

  • Really amazing sound, I'd kill to have one of those.

  • oooh ooh how much ?

  • The first vistalites Ludwig ever made were clear ones! Look it up!

  • @impala5160

Yup. This is correct. I can't believe what a mint condition kit goes for now. I use to own a set back in the late 80's and I was lucky when I found a buyer who gave me $600 for a 5-piece kit. Now you can get 2-3k+ for a set in flawless condition.

  • @ryannbear I don't think they made the CLEAR ones until like 2000 something. I know they had Vistalites.

  • @412SmokinGood420 Karen Carpenter played clear Vistalites in the 1970s. See the Carpenters Budokan 1974 concert.

  • Thank you,

  • If i'm not mistakin the clear vistalite's weren't even made up until 00's So i don't think it 1970's.

  • @412SmokinGood420

Have you never heard of Led Zeppelin? John Bonham??? That was definately not in 2000...

  • @412SmokinGood420

"If I'm not mistaken" is an infuriating statement and redundantly silly and by the way you are so much so that no one is bothering to inform you. I saw a used 5 piece set of clear vistalites at Cash Converters in London Ontario in November of 1998 for $400 in usable but well used condition so please don't stick to your ignorance as I'm sure they were manufactured before I was even born.

  • good lord this kit sounds amazing

  • Where were you when my home equity line of credit was buying instruments?
