This is a wonderful family event that everyone can attend. Lots of cute doggies, lots of cheers and tons of laughs. Rufus has won this fantastic charity race twice! He was 2007 and 2008 Champion. Rufus has never trained for the racesexcept when he chases the squirrels in the yard! (BOL) Bark out loud!

The reason the owners run with their dogs is because that makes the owners feel more comfortable being out there with their dogs and it actually helps the dogs run in the right direction. Of course, like at event sporting event, there is a chance of accidents. But thankfully we've never had any injuries, doggie or otherwise, at any Dachshund Dash event.
Dog #2 should've been called for UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS!
