The competition got so bad, that they transferred off from server to server destroying everyone until there was nothing left. Then Funcom nerfed the game to the ground and made it crap and boring for newbs. Nobody good plays AoC anymore, it's a dead game.

People already coming back to AoC from Rift, that and I guess the new pvp server opening soon.I took long enough of a brake from AoC to be able to play it till the next release I guess. The old school pvp rules for the new server have me interested; no high lvls, a reason to have a guild again and get another shot at sieges.

AoC is run by a failed company *Funcom* who does not listen to their player base and think they are always doing the right thing. its like 3 year olds running the world....its a joke when the game doesnt get better and Rift right not playing it till guild wars 2 comes out and battlefield 3. Rift right now has more stuff to do with pvp then aoc ...like world pvp is more...minis pop more...and cross server minis...and yes I like rift atm.

I'm thinking of going back to Age of Conan but don't know yet. If my RL friend's switch since we're all getting new computers soon we'll be able to run AoC on full graphics. I played a Necromance when AoC first released. It was terribly boring at end game. How good is the end game? Good battlegrounds? Raids better than they used to be?

@admielke right now nothing has change but a new pvp mini map and you only have people running around capping flags. I left the game right now because all the servers are dead but wic with some pop left in it )aoc only has 4 servers) . Another patch just came out and just water down the combat more so yea...you cant kite anymore. its all gear base, etc.... If I was you i try any other mmo but aoc. I am trying out Rift atm with some people and ran into my old sacro guild so yea =)

Drop pillars of flame, they suck xD (any decent player wont let you do them, any decent player will dps you to hell during the long animation and the time your stunned afterwards..)

Skip the early hellstrikes instead, while using prince of terror ;)

@Slaneth pillars are your main attack.. preload them and use them when the enemy is trying to backpedal, the large range makes it easy to hit them with a big burst.. then combo cancel it if you're leet like me.. i'd actually do the opposite of your advice and skip hell strikes. the low level (2/1-step) versions barely do any damage, not worth losing ANY level of POIF... omfg stop making me talk about AoC you'll make me resub...
