Please before anyone starts bashing the new PoP I would suggest actually playing it. I've beat the game at least 3 times already I love it so much. You can't learn everything from just watching the video. It is a great installment to the PoP legacy in my opinion.
Its not as much a game as it is inter actual art the story and the feel is just beautiful. A bit too easy though but hopefully that will all change with the next game.

4) Getting casual gamers in the boat might result in making the game piss-easy. Look at BioShock, Assassin's Creed. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but those were way too easy.

the graphics are not a throwback. The origional PoP was a 2-D side scroller. Not a cartoon. Controling "two" characters does not make the game harder when the bitch is controled by one button. Are you going to tell me that "game over" screens are unorigional? Get Real. Like I said don't mind the 1on1 but it seems like I could just play shadow of the colossous and do the same thing better. Four The combat: Yeah I don't mind 1on1 but the whole system seems like Final Fantasy or moreover considering the graphics Shadow of the Colossous (a good game in its own right) that shouldn't be the combat system it's just to conveluded and stupid.
On the whole it seems like they gave the game a stupid sonic the hedgehog or Banjo and Kazooie feel. The game just comes off way to childish, especially for a series that has matured so much over the couse of it's life.
ONE... If the prince died when his health got low and you saw a game over screen, it would be the exact same as every single game ever made, with no originality.
TWO... The use of a partner that you control makes the game twice as challenging as you controlling 1 character.
THREE... The graphics are a throwback to the very first prince of persia games in the 80's
AND FOUR... Because of this new combat the entire game feels as if each and every enemy you fight is a boss battle
There are probably four things I don't like about this game. First off why can't the prince die? He died in SOT (great fucking game!) and that was the most childish game of the series. 2 I don't need a fucking partner, what made up most of the Pinces character was his selfishness and solidarity; and how he came to terms with those flaws. 3 The graphics, wtf change them when typical graphics workd so well in all the other games?

Look, idiots, the developers said that they wanted to get away from SoT, and make this one different. They wanted to make it more Arabian Nights-ish, and I like that it's not all brown and gritty and stupid fucking realistic looking, because this game is anything BUT realistic! The game has a new kind of fighting system But you can't just press one button and push the enemy off a cliff.
In the game you have 4 Buttons. one for elika, one for your gauntlet, one for the sword and one for acrobatics. And in the fights you cann combine these buttons to combos. For example:
When you press the gauntlet button you will lift the enemy in the air (like in DMC4 :D ), while the enemy is in the air you can press the elika button and she will attack the enemy...
...and lift him even higher. Afte rthat you can press the sword button to attack the enemy. Or you can press the gauntlet button to smash him to the ground.
They cant keep up the same story 4ever, that wud ruin it. Of course the old Prince was like better. I mean he did great things. Changed his fate, cheated death. He's very heroic and all. But the new game will be better in some way. Its not gonna be so linnear, mutiple ways to target (reason for completing the game more that once ;) ) Combat close-up.The bad thing is that the new prince is not that good in personality and not that much for a hero. The storyline is not gonna be that great too.
It's not "gay anime" It's a type of cell-shading. If you looked up stuff about the game, you'd know that they were trying to give it more of a hand drawn look.

I like you, I do. But let me be honest with you. Xbox and PS3 both have the same hardware. I checked it both out they have roughly the same RAM, Video Card, Processor, The only main difference is the CD Reader. That doesn't matter at all, The reason GTA runs slow for both of them is because its very graphic and hardware intense it asks too much from the two systems that cant handle it. This isn't, but that isn't it should run fine. Blue-Ray isn't even all that great tbh with you its a huge waste

I know people are saying they hate the graphics but i think they're quite nice for a change. POP is re-made every now and then in different ways e.g. there was POP 3D and then some years later the SOT trilogy. I think it's good that they're trying a new approach, even graphically.

it is free roaming ppl...just like assasins creed...you get a big world and you can get different ways and paths to explore it and beat the game...just like assasins creed you roam the world and city giving to you in the mission but in the end you have to get the mission done in the same location...the same...

i think they have killed the pop experience on being able to fight 1 enemy at a time and her following you everywhere you go and the graphics are like animated cartoon me i prefered the rich graphics and being able to jump around and kill 3 enemys simultaneously and that its all down to the prince to do not some woman who has all the powers trailing about with you the price is a solo person. not saying the game will be bad im jst sayin it will not be as good as the other 3

1. Yes graphics are good.
2. It is not the old Prince and they did try to make PoP more popular.
3. No there isn't really a romantic relationship in this game. You'll have to really play the game to understand though.
4. It is easy compared to Sands of Time and other titles.
5. Non-linear in the sense where you can roam around and collect light seeds all around the world which is quite entertaining actually.

the graphics are not a throwback. The origional PoP was a 2-D side scroller. Not a cartoon. Controling "two" characters does not make the game harder when the bitch is controled by one button. Are you going to tell me that "game over" screens are unorigional? Get Real. Like I said don't mind the 1on1 but it seems like I could just play shadow of the colossous and do the same thing better. Plus it seems like the Prince has lost his rogue character, hell he needs a girl to fight for him.

Four The combat: Yeah I don't mind 1on1 but the whole system seems like Final Fantasy or moreover considering the graphics Shadow of the Colossous (a good game in its own right) that shouldn't be the combat system it's just to conveluded and stupid.
On the whole it seems like they gave the game a stupid sonic the hedgehog or Banjo and Kazooie feel. The game just comes off way to childish, especially for a series that has matured so much over the couse of it's life.
(I'll still give it a shot)

ONE... If the prince died when his health got low and you saw a game over screen, it would be the exact same as every single game ever made, with no originality.
TWO... The use of a partner that you control makes the game twice as challenging as you controlling 1 character.
THREE... The graphics are a throwback to the very first prince of persia games in the 80's
AND FOUR... Because of this new combat the entire game feels as if each and every enemy you fight is a boss battle

There are probably four things I don't like about this game. First off why can't the prince die? He died in SOT (great fucking game!) and that was the most childish game of the series. 2 I don't need a fucking partner, what made up most of the Pinces character was his selfishness and solidarity; and how he came to terms with those flaws. 3 The graphics, wtf change them when typical graphics workd so well in all the other games?

nobody complained when the old prince of persia trilogy came out in the days of the snes and sega genesis and it went from a side scrolling 2d cardboard cutout looking adventure to a full polygonal 3d environment and characters in the days of the 2nd trilogy for the ps2 and xbox. but now the series is in its 3rd trilogy in the days of the ps3 and xbox360 and everybody saying the game looks gay because of the graphics. And at least the SaveMe System is nothing else than the usual game over Screen with one difference: You don't have to Press Start to Continue.
The Player will know, that he just died. But the game is like a movie: The hero can't die. So Elika will rescue him. But you will "respawn" at the last checkpoint.

Look, idiots, the developers said that they wanted to get away from SoT, and make this one different. They wanted to make it more Arabian Nights-ish, and I like that it's not all brown and gritty and stupid fucking realistic looking, because this game is anything BUT realistic! And it's not gay anime, it's cell shaded, and seriously looks a hell of a lot better than BROWN BROWN BROWN BROWN AND BROWN.

The game has a new kind of fighting system But you can't just press one button and push the enemy off a cliff.
In the game you have 4 Buttons. one for elika, one for your gauntlet, one for the sword and one for acrobatics. And in the fights you cann combine these buttons to combos. For example:
When you press the gauntlet button you will lift the enemy in the air (like in DMC4 :D ), while the enemy is in the air you can press the elika button and she will attack the enemy...

They cant keep up the same story 4ever, that wud ruin it. Of course the old Prince was like better. I mean he did great things. Changed his fate, cheated death. He's very heroic and all. But the new game will be better in some way. Its not gonna be so linnear, mutiple ways to target (reason for completing the game more that once ;) ) Combat close-up.The bad thing is that the new prince is not that good in personality and not that much for a hero. The storyline is not gonna be that great too.

I like you, I do. But let me be honest with you. Xbox and PS3 both have the same hardware. I checked it both out they have roughly the same RAM, Video Card, Processor, The only main difference is the CD Reader. That doesn't matter at all, The reason GTA runs slow for both of them is because its very graphic and hardware intense it asks too much from the two systems that cant handle it. This isn't, but that isn't it should run fine. Blue-Ray isn't even all that great tbh with you its a huge waste

I dont get why people have a problem with the graphics. god forbid a game have a unique graphical style anymore, no no its gotta be hyper realistic. I'd prefer a unique visual style like this, to the all to common dull grays and brown scheme thats been used way to much on next gen games. So stop whining and give it a chance.

I know people are saying they hate the graphics but i think they're quite nice for a change. POP is re-made every now and then in different ways e.g. there was POP 3D and then some years later the SOT trilogy. I think it's good that they're trying a new approach, even graphically.

it is free roaming ppl...just like assasins creed...you get a big world and you can get different ways and paths to explore it and beat the game...just like assasins creed you roam the world and city giving to you in the mission but in the end you have to get the mission done in the same location...the same...

well the graphics look strange for a pop game but they r not bad,to me.the new prince is cool,but i liked the prince from SOT trilogy better.and the gameplay looks cool,although i dont know if i like the idea of elika,or whetever her name is,but as long as i havent played the game yet i cant tell!we all have to wait till the game's release to have a complete opinion!!

i love the graphics, i was expecting cell-shaded crap, but instead they came out with a whole new look. sure it resembles games like okami, but this game goes far beyond what any games like those did. every shot looks like a great painting.

i think they have killed the pop experience on being able to fight 1 enemy at a time and her following you everywhere you go and the graphics are like animated cartoon me i prefered the rich graphics and being able to jump around and kill 3 enemys simultaneously and that its all down to the prince to do not some woman who has all the powers trailing about with you the price is a solo person. not saying the game will be bad im jst sayin it will not be as good as the other 3

I really don't like the extra girl following you all the time. It just seems like a completely transparant way to fix things like easy deaths or missing platforms etc. It may as well just be an icon or whatever.
I also don't like that supposedly you only fight one enemy at a time. Seems like another cop out to me.
The rest of the game looks pretty cool though.
