  • I do this to my hair! It's my version of a prepoo. I put a shower cap on and therapy wrap and let it sit for quite a while before I detangled and shampoo etc.

Loved the bonus footage!!! He's so cute!! "you need help? Well, - I - need help!!" lol

  • 1/8 of a cup, LOL

  • Gorgeous hair! Love the vid :)

  • HAHA I can totally relate to the toddler talk. I’m only 22 so I don’t have any yet, but my little brother is 11 and we have always been close so learning to understand him was fun..especially when you know what he’s saying but everyone else doesn’t haha

  • Your little child is too cute, love it when he asked mommy if she need any help. What a sweetheart! Your hair is beautiful and thanks for the tip! My hair is like straw just now :-/

  • Nice Video your child is so cute. He/She talks so good for a 3 year old

  • i really liked it before you put the conditioner in, Beautiful~

  • I miss my hair being thick like that. Sometimes I don't want to comb it because it sheds a LOT.

  • Lol. Baby sound sooo cute when they said I need help. Lol cute. Nice video as well. I so luvthe little ones. I have 3of my own

  • I actually do smoething similar acter I take my hairs out of briads. It works very well for me!! Glad it worked for you.

  • Were r u from if i may ask u have lik a southern accent lik my aunt shes from n.c

  • Loved the vid & also listening to your little man. My son went through a growling stage too when he was that age. LOL Brought back memories b/c he's now 12 & taller than me. :( Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Your baby sounds so cute

  • Oh my word your hair is gorgeous!

  • Half of a 1/4 cup is 1/8 cup. lol. I love math

  • Lol My son was laughing at the faces you made when squeezing the conditioner out! I usually use this same technique after every twistout.

  • i chose to watch the bonus footage and yes i speak 3! got two lil sisstersss :D

  • "Do you need help?" .... "Well I NEED HELP!!!" Love it.... I love your hair too.... awesome vid mama... Did you ever work out that lip combo I sold you??? lol

  • Did he just growl at me?! HAHA

  • love ur hair :) Its shiny.

  • thats so cute

  • Baby, Rosetta Stone ain't ready for this!!! ha! lol! I love him, he sounds absolutely precious! and you have 2 more to do tutorial vids on! Rosetta Stone just ain't ready o.k. I love him! lol

  • OMG....he sound sooo cute..I love kids

  • Great tip about the conditioner! Gonna use it the next time I do my hair!! Thanks for the bonus! 2 cute:-)

  • Loved the bonus track!!!

  • how is ur hair so shiny??

  • LMAO....*side eye* "Whatever 1/2 of a quarter of a cup is...." (I think...) lmao...too funny...I have had those moments; my last wash was after about 4-4.5 weeks...can't believe it myself...but the time just flew by!! I was trying to have "diva" hair for the natural hair show in ATL...and BOY did I!! :-)

  • omg how precious!!

  • Aww, I love this video! Your son's adorable!

  • love the bonus footage! lol

  • poor conditioner bottle.. lol.. love the video!!

  • i just created a video response...thanks for the great idea about leaving the conditioner on the hair, it seemed to help! :)

  • You don't need a Rosetta Stone program from 3 year olds. You are already fully bilingual. Those last few minutes were priceless. I am glad you included them. Your hair is beautiful.

  • I try not to do styles that leave me like this too often. but a couple weeks ago...man. I must not have detangled well before I did my bun, and my hair was the most tangled it had ever been. Where was this video then??? lol

  • I have a 3 year and he'll be turning 4 next week and there are times I still cannot figure out what he is saying.

  • " I can't do dis..uhhhh"

I LOVE IT. I have a 3 year old (and an 8 month old) at home and this is just hilarious to me! I love the sarcasm in your voice "I'm so glad that you agree." ack! This is so my house

  • OMG...your hair is gorgeous even when it is wild! I won't even talk about the fact that it is shining while "fuzzy"! I'm so jealous!

  • my mom used to do this to my hair when i was a little kid, now i do it on my nieces when i do their hair haha.

    your son is tooooo cute!

  • Your edges came back nicely. I am still coveting your hair.

  • OMG....love your hair and love the little boy...thanks for sharing.

  • This was a great vid...I will definitely use this method; however, I must say that the last 3 mins was the absolute best. LOL!! He is just too precious. Loved it!

  • i use this method all the time! sometimes I dampen it with a little water before adding the conditioner. After you have used up all of your conditioners, you should try using Paul Mitchell's "The Detangler"... actually I get the generic version at Sally's but it is the bizness!

Toddler talk is toooooooo cute !!! You need help? I not gonna leave you !

  • LOL @ Rosetta Stone for Toddler Language! Thanks for sharing this tip. I will try; I am the Empress of Tangles.

  • You need help???..lol!!!!

  • I do the same with my daughter's hair and it turns out well, too.

  • Thumbs up for having the conversation with the baby with the cute lil voice.

  • Half a quarter of a cup is an eighth of a cup.....dividing recipes is the only way I can do fractions in my head lol so sad so sad.

  • awwww toddler talk=cutest thing everrrr

  • 3yr old talk is too cute!

  • Girl, you don't know how easy you have it. Talking 3yr old is so much easier than understanding TEENAGER (times 2), now that is when you need some serious couch time and an interpreter.

  • That's so cute "I'm not gonna leave you". Aww <3

  • Aww... loved the video bonus, your son sounds beautiful :)

  • I think i enjoyed hearing the convo between u and your son more than the actual tutorial. I remember those days!

  • Girl cherish these days especially him stating that he needs help because the older he get you are less likely to hear that

  • Dooon't eat it!! Too cute

  • Love your videos! Informative, hilarious and down to earth. I had to watch the extra clip. Your son is very engaging. I have fond memories of those days with my daughter.

  • "Do you need help?" ahhh...I love him!

  • Lol @ your son. Too cute.

  • Love the vidz! Thanks for the tips keep em coming! LOL @ Rosetta Stone for toddlers!!

  • Yea! This is what I did when I had a hot-knotted-mess of a puff earlier this week from weekish-old coils :) So I guess we were "feeling" the same thing! I feel like I did something right! lol

  • Do you need help?...well I need help.

  • OMG!!! He sounds exactly like my 3 yr old girl. Too funny! I love your videos. Keep them coming!!!

  • You have beautiful hair :)

  • I speak fluent 3 year old!!! I've been speaking it for about 6 years now!! Lol. I understood everything he said because he sounds just like my little brother and sister used to. Thats definately an aquired trait!! Lol.

  • Huney he broke it down"Where is my c-a-r-s. That was funny. LMBO!!

  • I do this every time I wash also, because my hair tangles easily, so I have to apply conditioner and allow it to sit, then finger detangle and then detangle with my paddle brush after deep conditoning.

  • He is so wonderful...I have a 3 year old as well Love. We need a ROsetta Stone Toddler Edition Indeed!LOL

  • "Would you leave this alone?" HAHAHAHAHAH LOL.

  • Ohhhh 3 talk lol. It's can be sometimes hard to understand.

  • Hey, your video came just in time. i have to take out my mini twists and i'm sooo dreading it but, you just came me an idea! Thanks.

  • 1. the title sound like a club song. 2. Little man is needs his own channel because he is no joke. He wants to say alot. LittleMan3. coming to a youtube channel near you. Classic Dude.

  • Love your videos! lol

  • I laugh only because I have these same in-depth and insightful conversations with my 2 year old daily....best and funniest part of my day sometimes...that was adorable(stole the show) :)

  • Lmbo!!! I like how he broke it down for you "WHERE.ARE.MY.CARS" lol @ 6:43

  • Thanks for sharing. I want to try Grapeseed oil. I use Jojoba and love it but to detangle, that's all I need.

  • Very cute! What's funny is that I understood every word. It's great that you'll always have these videos to look back on as he gets older.

  • i do this all the time lol

  • Cool idea, I think this would work well if your hair is in knots after having a twist out on day 5. How much time did it actually take you to detangle doing this method?

  • How cute I bet your son is adorable :) I'm a sucker for kids. -3

  • i do this all the time I call it my prepoo but I comb through it under running water

  • Where would I be able to find grape seed oil and castor oil?

  • i have found that adding oil to my conditioner is the key to some good detangling.

This concoction has made detangling a breeze. I just started using the conditioner oil mixture for like 6 months now. Love it!! Great Video

  • lol @ Rosetta stone I feel ya :) Thanks for the tip ! I sha'll try this!

  • my child likes to spell her name with my flexi-rods! cute video

  • Thanks for the tip. By the way, my 5yr old son does the same thing...my clips become toys and I'm looking for them and he's playing planes, trains, and automobiles with them!!!

  • "I'm not gon leave you..."

    he's precious :)

  • Too cute! Lol.

  • Omg, I do the same thing!!! I hate wasting product too!!!

  • too cute. I remember those days. I have an 18, 15, & 6 yr old. I wish they were still babies sometimes and I pray sometimes asking God when are they going to move out

  • lmfao at you telling your kid to hit harder in classs. lol as soon as i heard that i thought "WHEN LIFE.... GETS REAL" lol. <3 the video though!

  • I just love your hair!!! It's beautiful.

  • what other kind of conditioner you use besides L'Oreal

  • LOL! I speak excellent toddler because I'm on my with my 2 year old. She is a mess with her self. Wait until the babies get bigger and start talking and the older one can translate. • When my niece was 3 and my nephew was 5 we used to have him translate! They r now 6 and 8 and my niece is not good at pronouncing words with 'L's in them. My nephew told us, "when Courtney turns 7, she's gonna talk right!" we just thought that was too funny!!

  • Please have your dad back!!!!!

  • Omg! He's so cute!

  • The baby it too cute.... Its was too funny when he asked where is his car... You asked him to repeat it twice and he slowed it down like u were slow are something... I do that to the people I work with.... Babies are a tru blessing!

  • "well I need help!" lol too cute :-)

  • I detangle before washing all the time. It's so much easier! I think I saw AE do it. I enjoyed the conversation with your 3 year old. That was too cute. Lol!

  • This is exactly what I do. I use some old Queen Helene conditioner and some castor oil because I don't have a lighter oil. It works really well.

  • Omg that was too adorable for words... and it funny how us moms can understand what lil are saying and everyone elese is like dumbfounded... lol keep up the good work

  • OMG he sounds so adorable. I have a niece and two little cousins and I can't understand what they are saying for the life of me. Their mothers understand them perfectly so I always ask for a translation.

  • He was too cute. "I not gone leave youuuu". Such precious times.

  • I apply conditioner to my hair before every wash because I wash my hair in twist. I apply the conditioner, finger detangle, remove shed hairs and twist. Love the convo at the end.

  • Thanks this has been very helpful to me, I've been shedding a lot lately from when washing hair from a twist out. Wearing a twist out now, so i will try this method.

  • i love it. 3 yr olds always entertain. and one half of a quarter is one eighth. These things just play in my head. :(

  • Your edges have grown back in! Thanks for sharing your videos.

  • I got my hair braided from the lady you got your tiny twist and I love it. Thanks girl. Besides you cute styles she is great. I cant wait til mine gets that long. I love your styles. I need more ideas?

  • YOUR HAIR IS AMAZING!!...Geesh! : ).....Oh I loved 3.26 bonus clip!... ' IIII neeeed help!'...LOL

  • I find that when my hair is really tangled, I have to spritz it with water and then add my conditioner for slip. It doesn't work for me unless I spritz with water.

I cannot, for the life of me speak and/or understand 3 year old. It is just something I have not and probably will never master.

  • He sounds so darn cute!
