@ragreen13 ur right, the old skool 80s bmxs are a million times better than the shit thats out today they suck big fat dopy frames than weigh about a ton and then no mag wheels no padsets tyres are about 50inch wide and the bikes are that heavy that u cant even pedal 1 let alone trick one, i say bring back the old bmxs cause that wat iv still got my friends bmx sucks its a new 1 and mine puts it to shame in ever way weight size and defernatly LOOKS
@SeGaSaTuRn1994bmx are the same now as then in that you pay peanuts you get some heavy piece of crap and you pay money and you get a great bike.in the 80s it was either freestyle or race but now there are lots of forms of bmx now so massively differing frames available for different events !you should get to a bike shop and feel a few things before you decide.i was dead against new skool and thought like you then i rode one and was converted like a lot of the old skoolers i know 35-40 yr olds +
@bobbitt187 Not really. I've ridden many different bikes from then & now. Firstly you'd be pretty hard pressed to find a race BMX in a retail bike shop. Which is mostly what a lot of us used to use & just trick out cause they were light. I remember being able to get a pretty reasonable & ridable BMX for around $400 in a retail bike store, even into the mid 90s. Now you can only get a piece of junk for $400. They're also no longer made in the US, Japan or Australia.
they dident even land on their bikes they landed on their fet

@bobbitt187 The one major improvement though is the threadless stems.
