audi needs to layout a new design for it's flag ship sedan........they all look the same....once i was driving down the highway, i saw an audi, it looked pretty flashy due to its grill and i thought it was the new a6....but when i got behind it, then and only then was i able to know that it was an a8...so yeah, they need to come up with a unique design.
I'm glad the 2008 A8 didn't stray too far, although they'll have to introduce a new A8 soon to fit the new (A5-esque) design language. But as we fans all know, Audi is about understated elegance. Since BMWs became ugly a few years ago and MB now has those horrible huge round fenders, Audi is the only "handsome" one left. A8 doors alone are works of art that I would hang on my wall. A used A8 in the US can be had for $29000. Tempting... I'll take mine black in the long version, thank you.

For the A8, I prefer the standard wheelbase; I want a car, not a limo.
That said, I echo the thought about the A8. It's definitely a beautiful car and it doesn't have to say much to express itself. It impresses by its subtlety and is very sophisticated instead of trying too hard by being garishly showy with "bling."
If I wanted, ugh, "bling," I'd get an Escalade.
The only complaint with the current A8, I don't like the Audi "fishmouth." and thought the car looks great with the split grille.
Audi's are nice but they really need to give the A8 it's own distinctive look. The range looks too monotonous and the A8 is the prime candidate for it's own look with it being the most premium model.
