  • salt lowers the freezing point of water i does not actually melt it

  • thats a lot of fucking salt, WTF

  • obviously the people who think salt makes ice melt slower have never lived in a cold country. they pure that shit all over the ice to melt it (;

  • @9751267518 thats not the point of the vid at all! the ice has energy in it you want the ice to melt fast so it can relese that energy and make the water colder even faster and you wont the temp of the ice to drop up to 0- so it can melt

  • @theAmdisen391 wtf did i just say dumbass

  • @9751267518 can't you read what you just readed yourself ? and u call me the dumbass silly fat people (;

  • @theAmdisen391 how about i buttfuck you while watching the view

  • @9751267518 You might be gay and like anal raping other men but i will stab you if u did try to gay ur way in on me. go get a tranny or something

  • @theAmdisen391 watch ur butt cough i mean back

  • @9751267518 i will when your around mr buttpirate

  • i pretty sure no one reacts like that when they put a freezing ass can to there face

  • she jizzed her self when she put that drink to her face

  • I love her face when she checks the temp. Gold!

  • Press 7 for derp.

  • press 8

  • that girl was strange

  • Why add salt?

  • @T2theI2thedoubleMY Apparently salt reduces the freezing point of water. That seems like something I probably learned in school. If the teacher had just showed me this one practical example I would have remembered it.

  • to the people saying u should just put ice in a cup and pour the drink, i use this method for beer. it doesn't have to be a soda! ice and beer is a no no

  • @jzy77 well said....some of these ppl are just stupid

  • id rather wait for 30 minutes so the ice makes it cold ina cup than waste alot of ice, water, and salt and have to wash the bowl off -_-

  • Ah but what if you dont have ice?

  • Yay now my soda tastes like salt!

  • What a waste of ice

  • because ice waters down a soda

  • smart people get an ice cold drink.

dumbasses get watered down drink. AND THE WINNER IS......

  • wtf the music is dun=mb for the subject

  • You don't really want to put soda over ICE like how so many people are saying. The warmer drink that is being put over the ice melts the ice, and then it becomes water. Therefore, you now have a dilluted beer/soda/whatever.

Now ice in water is *obviously* okay.

  • Because ice WILL dilute your drink. I personally dont want diluted beer

  • so i have to waste some salt first? sea water works?

  • Something about the salt being added keeps the ice from melting which creates maximum coolness throughout the whole can. It's for fun, if you feel like putting ice in a soda, no one's stopping you. :P

  • Check temperature, but please don't smile

  • Why don't we just fucking fuck glass ice fuck kidney stones the glass. The fuck?

  • Wow, an AFRO and OFCOURSE THERE IS DISCO MUSIC playing in the background.

  • what a waste of salt

  • @bodhitaichi So u like salt in ur soda?

  • ITS OPRAH!! OMGWTFBBQ

  • Generic brand cola!

  • she has a lazy eye @ 00:24

  • can you do this with bottled water too?

  • she looks like a black uma thurman

  • haha wow guys. salt makes the ice colder, therefore it is possible for the drinks to cool if agitated in the ice/salt solution in two minutes. yea it would be easier to poor the drink into a cup filled with ice, but for those who like the drink to be fizzier, this is a good trick for an instant cold canned drink.

  • lazy eye at 00:24 seconds lol

  • she looks crazy

  • looooooooooooooooooooooool

  • aaah

  • Enjoy your salty ass drink.

  • in two minutes? that won't work...

  • Dumbasses this is because some people don't like to put there drink in a cup, add ice, and wait a couple hours until it gets cold. By the time it's cold your drink is watered down. And the salt makes the ice melt faster which makes it colder to all the dumb fucks asking what the salt is for.

  • why isn't the soda grape soda?

  • @stiz80 cause she isnt full black yet she still has a year to go to be full black everyone knows that duh lol

  • tell me y i need salt?!?!

  • @thevilkitty616 To melt the ice. Ice is actually colder when it is melting.

  • dude this actually works

  • Yeah, and if you want to drink straight from the can, it tastes like salt water. that kinda ruins it

  • @kanarialintu Run the can under the faucet to rinse the salt off.

  • @boxersgirlbunny No way, noobs. Lick the salt off. It'll make you more thirsty and take care of any toothaches you might have to boot!

  • as i scientist i can tell you that this is nonsense! the two minutes will chill the drink granted! but ice cold mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • kipkay came up wit dis

  • 2 cups of salt? This message brought to you by Morton Salt Company! LOL

  • @JohnnyNW Well, obviously this wouldn't be a technique that you would use in every day situations. This would work better for parties or quick get togethers, especially ones that were short notice. I have had plenty of times where a lot of people showed up at my house around the same time and I wished I had cold drinks to serve them. I'm not the type of person to keep more then a few cans of soda cold in the fridge at a time because it encourages you to drink too much of it all at once that way.

  • @JohnnyNW

    Somebody failed science class.

  • Wow some ppl on here are fucking stupid

Jesus, okay the cans got put in there cos some people DON'T like watered down pop with shitloads of ice.

Second, the salt is so that the ice melts faster, and has a larger effect on many cans.

Fucks sakes ppl use ur goddamn heads

  • @Merrick0001 lol, the salt is there to make the water temperature drop therefore making the ice melt slower not quicker.

  • haha omg if i want "something freeezing" i would put the ice cubs in the juice :)

  • uhhh was the salt necessary??? and u cud have just poured it in a cup with ice.....

  • now THAT is what I call STUPID AS a jackass

  • just buy a fridge lol

  • @tcmisback the whole point was that this is FASTER then putting it in the fridge *rolls eyes*

  • aww....when u stir it in the water....ummmm....im pretty sure its just like shaking a pop up....and then it will explode when you open it......STUPID

  • @SantaMaster123 No, not really, there's not enough motion to mix the air and soda.

  • well you may save time on chilling the soda, but you'll have to wait another 10 minutes before you can open the damn thing cuz now the soda's carbonation pressure is all built up

  • what the fuck was that? this is a fucking 36 second i'll never get back for watching something i can do with a cup and ice.this is the gayest shit i have ever seen.not being rude to the gays.

  • dumasses

  • works

  • waste of water

  • ya to bad all you will taste is salt when u take a sip lol

  • i already knew about this its how they make ice cream. salt does something and makes metal colder. But problem is, when you take it out, and your drinking through the can, heheh you notice it taste salty! X D

  • @OnyxFyreTheMad you rinse it off first

  • @SoldierK4 haha common sense lol

  • Why don't you just put the fucking ice a glass and pour the soda in? The fuck?

  • exactly!!!!

  • @bodhitaichi um yeah okay? It,s just showing you a way which is faster than a fridge yeesh lol don,t get so mad about it, but good point why didn't he?

  • @bodhitaichi lol. already.

  • @bodhitaichi because room temp soda in a cup + ice = watered down soda, which might be cold but doesn't taste good. This gets it cold but keeps the flavor intact

  • @bodhitaichi what if u dont like watered down soda?

  • @bodhitaichi It wont be as cold as it'll be if you put it in water, ice and salt in 2 minutes.

  • @bodhitaichi lol cause i dont want my beer to be dilluted with water!

  • @bodhitaichi Ice dilutes flavo(u)r the drink has. It ruins all the taste and makes it more bland.

  • @bodhitaichi because you don't wanna weaken the fucking drink.. for example you don't drink beer with ice in it.. THE FUCK?

  • @bodhitaichi Because Ice dilutes and then stops the drink being fizzy? I hate that. :/

  • @bodhitaichi Because this is for "Ice Cold 'DRINK'" You cock. You could use this for beer if it's warm and you want a cold one in 2 minutes, unless you like ice in your beer?

They use soda because it's sponsored by Sprint obviously, and Sprint isn't going to endorse beer. Some people are so narrow minded.

  • @bodhitaichi Well, personally I don't like ice in my soda. It tends to melt in the room temperature soda causing the soda to become watered down. I hate that. So this technique is perfect for me. If you'd prefer to just put ice in yours then go ahead, but just remember there are people in the world besides yourself, not everyone likes ice in their soda just because you do so thats why "the fuck" as you eloquently put it :) .

  • @bodhitaichi

The video is for an ice cold DRINK in 2min. Beer is a drink and does not go well with ice in a glass

  • @bodhitaichi

maybe some people don't want their coke etc. to be diluted by water. dumb shit.

  • @PavegAndBaun Couldn't have said it better xD

  • @bodhitaichi this is faster and more effective....... and you won't dilute the soft drink with water in the process

  • @bodhitaichi

They should have just used beer and then no one would be asking this.

  • @tecno44 LOL, fucking right?

  • @bodhitaichi I agree but wouldn't it be better if the ice doesn't dilute the soda ?? Come on, what if i have onli 10 ice cube and 10 soda drinks? :) Think about that. By the time you used the 3rd or 4th soda I think the ice would be gone. You might be saying, "What would I want to drink 3 to 10 soda drinks in a row?". Well, some people are just sitting at their computer and doing works for hours, wouldn't that be a better idea?? :)

  • @bodhitaichi WHY NOT JUST PUT ICE IN YOUR GLASS OF BEER!?!??!?! Well simply because the liquid in the glass(be it soda, alcohol, or tea) will warm up and MELT the fucking ice cubes you cunt. It dilutes the drink. It's like you saying "hurr durr why not put stake IN the fire plaec insted on the grill hurr durrrr."

  • @OdinVale You did not just spell "steak" as stake? Jesus Christ! And Plaec? You're a moron and you should probably be sterilized on the off chance you find a fat skank that might be willing to procreate with you. Like I care about your opinion about ice cubes in a beverage. Shut your fucking cockhole and get a life. And a spelling book.

  • @bodhitaichi it will make the soda diluted... and what if you want to cool off beer?

  • I can't believe I wasted my time watching this stupid shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @gytarok wtf y cuz thers a coloured person in it?? fuck off, y dnt u call all the other shows caucasian economics then, n the likelyhood is tht a white person made it up sooooo

  • Comment removed

  • @gytarok lol seriously thats the best you can come up with at least gimmie somethin i can insult you back with thats just laughable pal. cheers though u actually cheered me up :)

  • so why dont we just put ice in a cup and pour in the soda?

  • indeed, cause this is just like bein' rick rolled or someting

  • lol so true

  • @xOhElle

Haha true, it only really makes sense with chilling beer...seen as though you obviously dont wanna ruin it with ice, lol.

  • @xOhElle Ice dilutes flavo(u)r the drink has. It ruins all the taste and makes it more bland.

  • @xOhElle it takes a lot longer to cool like that. The salt makes the ice... colder? xD

  • Sorry to say but this doesnt really work so effectively.

I tried it out now and it just got a little bit colder. To get any OK results you will need a huge amount of ice, and letting it stay for a while.

Putting it back in the refrigirator is alot faster and effective.

  • wipe the lid. LOL

  • wouldn't the lid taste salty fucking up the taste of the cola?

  • Wash it off with tap/forset water.

  • hhaha the woman's expression

  • why the salt..lol this is stupid..pour it in a glass of ice

  • Go and try it without the salt... Come back with the results.

  • The salt melts the ice much quicker than plain water could. Any other stupid questions?

  • No, salt melts the ice. This is a video demonstrating how quickly you can chill a drink, not how long you can keep it chilled. The salt acts as a solute and dissolves the solid ice, turning it into a liquid.

  • Nope. the whole point of adding the salt is to melt the ice much faster which releases water at freezing temperature into the rest of the water, cooling it down quickly.

Salt actually lowers the waters freezing point so at 32f / 0c the water still can't freeze. Because the freezing point is lower, the ice melts.

  • oh yeah...ur right... sorry... should have made sure that i knew what i was talking about...thx for correcting me

  • Too much work, I'd rather have hot soup.

  • That comment made me laugh.

  • salt causes a chemical reaction, allowing the water to be at or a tad below freezing, making the heat from the soda dissipate very quickly. cold water pulls heat from things faster than cold air. they make ice cream the same way.

  • what a waste of salt

  • sometimes i want a DP in 2 minutes. instead of waiting 30-45 in the fridge! you can get the salt back if you need it that badly, just boil the water off :)

  • salt......waste of ice 2

  • now if only i had some ice... and salt.... and a drink and a container and a spoon and a funk hair cut!!! lets face it im a hobo!

  • disesed, but you got a computer?

  • yeea..one more fun thing to do watching the cans going round and round... :P

  • the name of this vid is ''Ice Cold Drink in 2 minutes!'' but the vid is on for 35 sec lol !!

  • you have to stir for 2 minutes lol .

  • or u could just put in the freezer?

  • @RandomComedyNetwork yeah tried that, and then sometimes I walk away and forget its in the freezer and it explodes all over. NOT such a nice thing.

  • if ya throw the fucking can in the ice, it not gonna be cold as fast as with salt jackass. thats why salt make it faster

  • it's ice cold because you put it in ice cold water dumbass.

  • and the salt breaks down the ice to help make the water cold

  • LOL, loved the video, really funny (and it works ;D) PS.: it's usefull to cool beer, cause you can't put ice in the beer (actualy you can, but it wouldn't taste good)

  • lol or just put it in some ice

  • wouldnt work as well...

  • I Tryed it....... it really works no lieing try it for yourself.

  • wtf!! just throw it in the fridge! lol that's really funny!

  • WHY I NEED SALT XD?

  • chemical reaction

  • if u want to know y salt

put salt in ur sands then add salt then see y they use it

    XD

  • lmao what?

  • u need salt because if you put salt in water, it can't freeze. the ice melts so you have liquid water at minus 6 degrees or so.

  • salt makes the ice melt yes = ice cold water for ur drink :)

  • would this really make you as ridiculously happy as her....

  • i didnt need salt wat was the salt for??

  • or you know... you could pour the soda into a glass filled with ice and stir for about 2 seconds... that always seems to work pretty well lol.

  • 0:25

  • hahAHahaHAHahahAHahaa

  • haha

    fireworks!!

that means its REALLY REALLY cold!!!!

  • that black women is faking it it not cold!!!

  • ur an idiot

  • LMFAO!

It's a joke, they make you shake up the soda so when you open it it erupts.

    Lmfao!

  • i dont like that creepy woman lol

  • this is the weirdest video i have ever seen

  • its going to make it taste bad

  • Salt melts the ice causing it to make the beverage cold.

  • negative.... the ice lowers the freezing temperature of the water allowing the water to become super cooled...

  • fail

  • no your a fail.... look it up dip shit

  • SPELLING FAIL

  • uhh it you can think that but really the ice returns to a liquid state because its freezing temperature is lowered by the added solute, thus super cool water can cover more surface area of the can and cooling it faster that just parts of an ice cube touching the outside of the drink
