  • In an other interview it was said Horowitz gets 80% of the gross of concerts.

  • what is name of the piece that he plays at 06:25?? something from scarlatti??

  • How could Horowitz afford this entourage of piano movers, shippers, and personal piano tuner, which combined had to cost as much as his fee to perform.

  • wow...

    thank you.

  • Thank you for all your great video posts! Wonderful

  • goodmanmusica: Grazie per questo video. Dove hai preso questo gioiello? Sono un appassionato di Horowitz.

  • @gonzalojosevb

  • @goodmanmusica Thank you very much

  • Richard Probst was a serious dickhead.

  • @mishima1974 why so?

  • Horowitz caught Franz in a lie. Franz told Maestro, "440" when the Great Pianist asked about the tuning. Horowitz says, "too high".

Sure enough, the Wizard was right! I tested A440 on my Yamaha digital piano and the A that Horowitz played in this clip was INDEED a few cents higher than 440!

    What an Ear!!

Shame on you, Franz!! Lying to the Maestro was not the Christian thing to do!!!!

  • @mishima1974 Seriously? You're going to trust the video recording to reproduce the exact pitch? And you're going to trust your digital piano? And you're going to trust you're own ear? You're out of your mind.

  • @josephbyronkingma

    1) Yes, I trust my digital piano. It's a computer for Christ's sake!

    2) My own ear? My ear is great. You can prove NOTHING about my ear based on my comments on this video. That is illogical.

    3) I certainly trust Horowitz's ear. You don't? You trust Franz.

It is YOU who is the fool. You are an egomaniac and a sociopath, that I CAN tell from your comments.

    3) I certainly trust Horowitz's ear. You don't? Of course you don't, you're a fool.

Furthermore, you're an egomaniac and a sociopath, yimach schmo!

  • Franz looks nervous.

  • only 939 views. people don't know the value!

  • which is the piece that sounds at 6:27?

  • 2:36 are Franz Mohr (his tuner) valuable insights!

    5:12 Horowitz enters

  • Around Horowitz are Franz Mohr (his tuner), Richard Probst (Steinway NY) and Peter Gelb (Horowitz's manager).

Nare man ook die Horo, hele nare man.
