What Voice settings is He using? I See the Voice itself (SA clean) but it Sounds very different on my Tyros2. Same Goes for the Music Finder setting of that Song. The guitar in this Video Sounds much better, so Short, clean and Straight. He Must have changed something, but what exactly?

This sounds pretty good, but I wish keyboard companies would stop messing around trying to make decent guitar sounds when they will never really sound like a real guitar. If they just stick to improving their pianos, electic pianos (Rhodes etc) clavis, organs, strings, mellotrons, synths etc that would be more productive. If I want a real guitar sound I'll call a guitarist, there lots of them out there!

I completely agree but I think at this point its not about making realistic guitar sounds. I think that these companies are trying to make identifiable guitar sounds with distinct synthesizer characteristics. So basically guitars that sound like synths. It's funny because these things can do nearly any instrument well, the only one that they have recognizble difficult with is the guitar a far as I can tell.

Further to earlier comments: When a gtr player plucks a string and bends that note, for example, it has the complex nuance of JUST THAT. When you listen to a keyboard player bending a note with a 'wheel', what you hear is JUST THAT. If you hear those two as completely identical then you're a cloth-eared cunt.

You people will also argue that a gtr-synth will put keyboard players 'out of work'.. If you honestly believe this then you're not hearing the beauty or intricacies of music. Now go fuck!

Yamaha has sampled on the Tyros and on several other Pro level synthesizers the real deal. If you are an old school person that wants to keep playing the real deal, keep playing your thing. But sampling is the future of the music. Not only Yamaha but there are several other virtual instrument software out there that were sampled at the highest quality and reproduce the original sounds. Why keep being retarded and not accepting the future? :-) Yamaha rules!

A few comments ago...'moaardweeb' - you must be one crap gtr player if you think that sounds anything LIKE a real strat. The guy has done a nice job of copying Knopfler's solo but they still can't make it sound like a real gtr - or a real sax, for that matter. Apart from the actual sound which is nothing-like what a gtr sounds like in any medium, phrasing and other vital nuances make any gtr-synth sound, well, synthetic. You arse - you'll ALWAYS be out of work.
