@sakilla929 I'm certain. I own one. They used the abs wheel speed sensors to work out if the rears were spinning faster than the fronts and also g sensors for acceleration, cornering g's and the vspec models had vertical too. This shows if you're bounding a bit on rough roads.
Nissan threw everything they had at this car technology wise. Hicas was a bit more experimental but they must have thought it was with it to put it in 33's and 34's.
The all wheel drive system is still used in the r35
I never said it did end up in the intake. What happens is the exhaust blades can shatter (on the standard ceramic blade turbos) and get sucked back through the exhaust manifold and into the cylinders. If you like I can send you photos of the turbo that failed and the damage it caused to one of the pistons? If you don't believe they're my pictures I can put a piece of paper with a code word on it like "Red97Avenger sucks LOLZZZ" and then maybe you'd believe me ;)
Nope, just a couple cracked piston ring lands! It's pretty hard to blow a Nissan head gasket unless you massively overheat it. The car is back together and now doing 560AWHP on the Mustang Dyno!
Just to clear things up, the R32 GTR was 4WD with a system that split the torque between the front and rear wheels. The car would run RWD 90% of the time, unless you lost traction at the back and that's when up to 50% torque was put to the front to pull you out of the slide.
R32 GTSTs were permanent RWD. There was no GTT - that was the R34 model.
robbiejamo is right about the turbo, if you're unlucky the exhaust wheel blades shatter and get sucked into your pistons. This happened to me
The turbos aren't blown, but we did crack a few piston ring lands. The car was running water meth injection, which helps keep EGTs lower, and which makes the stock turbos more reliable at higher boost.
Ok? Here your suppose to have it on no matter what, with a proper ventilation system. Even though the doors open, doesn't mean the fumes will go out. they will hang around.... But you wouldn't know.
Well the good news is your car made 700 horsepower, the bad news......

??? Sorry but I wouldn't have the guts to intentionally blow my motor lol

Nothing wrong the just had to fart lmao

It's not a blue oil smoke like it would be piston rings. It's definitely pure white coolant smoke, probably from a blown gasket

well i know where not to tune my car they like to push too much boost as i can see! lol

Haha I love it. Try and blow a Nissan engine and all you get is a couple of failed compression rings. Nissan FTW

That's almost a full rebuild smart guy. Ring lands are on the piston...Replacing pistons is no easy task

There is also R32 GTS-4 which is an AWD RB20DET version of the GTS-T.

@xaero101 with the ceramic turbo?
burn21991 1 year ago
@xaero101 it is actually acceleration and cornering g sensors that governs front torque. not traction loss.
samuelleonard 1 year ago
@samuelleonard are you sure ? they had g sensors in a production car ?in 1989 ?

@xaero101 if the exhaust wheel shatters wont the piece flow the same way as the pressure? and end out in the exhaust pipe?

GTR's are 4 wheel drive
some R32s GTT's are 4 wheel drive as well

the point is that they have blown the turbo, designed for .9bar only...
could be turbo bits in the engine

vid would have been a bit crap with exhaust tube??? maybe perhaps, a long shot, but could they have left it off for artistic effect??

How about a GT-R then?

Shit, you guys have it lucky! Maybe you wanna think about putting an exhaust tube on that? Shit loads of smoke!!!
