I too will be eternally grateful to youtube for putting this music out there. I happen to think that this level of music has not been eclipsed since the genre was born.
This particular song blows my mind. The combination of the ridiculous bass and incredible horns is just fantastic. It really is shameful that someone cannot go to a national museum in port-of-spain and easily find this music.
Thank god for Youtube. This has become a shrine of sort to memorialize a bygone era in calypso music and for the younger generation to hear what "REAL" calypso sounded like..To all the posters of this classic music ,you can't begin to imagine how important you are in the preservation of this music..Thank you for your efforts ...As long as Youtube is around ,this will be our museum to the great calypsonians of the past and for them to live on forever..
@Quelvisv STEUPS!! I won't even respond to that....Maestro's own words speak for themselves, "Brimstone", "Tempo", "Godfather". That is one debate I am not going to enter into. Maestro was the speed pioneer. Full Stop.
In every generation there's a genius that comes along and transcends the music to a whole other level and Cecil Hume aka Maestro was just that mere genius. If Calypso 101 was part of any university's curriculum, maestro would have to be studied .His awesome lyrical content and his composition skills were probably the best from his generation of Calypsonians.Him teaming with the greatest arranger of Calypso music ,the late Art de Coteau was sheer magic...
He is undoubtably the godfather of "Pace Calypso" even in 2010 there's still not anyone who can touch this genius. He still lives as long as his music is around for us to hear.

Art de Coteau gave Maestro some really great music to go along with the fantastic compositions. What a combination!
Trinidad will never have such a pair again.
