  • I love this song. I am going back to 2005 :)

  • 8:20.... Before King Eric did it... there was Le Tessier!!! :P

  • Best rightfoot ever in England!

  • 4:19 - OMG, I really did it ?

  • Comment removed

  • hes my uncles brother if that counts for anything ;) no joke

  • i know he is a very good player and can be considered as one of the football legends, but what amazes me is that he turn off all the big clubs trying to sign him to stay with Southampton

something that is impossible anymore in today's football

  • nagrywane mikrofalówką

  • @chthcz

  • Franz Ferdinand - Take Me out

  • The first song please

  • Which pixel is Matt?

  • Just unbelievable !! if he had a weird haircut and some rings up his nose he would be a world class player.

What a Player we need more of those footballers ... but now we only have FAGS on the pitch

  • lol 16 dislikes some people dont see a true talent lol

  • The most highly skilled football player I ever watched live. I'm a Liverpool fan and I watched Dalglish and have also seen Zidane play.

  • ....RESPECT his allegiance and loyalty to a club that meant everything to him. We need a few more true role models like this. My choice for best english player of all time.

  • This guy is a living legend. Bow down to the human highlight reel! I’ve never seen one player feature so many times on Match of The Day’s Goal of the month in the same month! The most overlooked, under-rated player of his generation. Pele, Maradona, Matt Le Tissier! He is real footballer with unmatched vision and touch who didn’t need to be fast . Stevie G is my hero but even he cannot compete with Le God. UNBELIEVABLE TALENT, if he was at a big club he wud be known as the greatest........

  • alguein sabe como se llaman los temas gracias para el q me diga =)

  • @bevi05 yo tambien busco esta cancion... Makinon le tissier

  • @Spier74 "Take me out " (Franz Ferdinand) & "Simply the best" (Tina Turner)

8 caps while Platini thought he could play for France due to his roots (would have been amazing with Cantona and Papin at Euro 92' !!!). such a shame.

  • apparently english managers don't know a talented footballer when they see one..better than rooney, owen, and beckham

  • THIS IS THE ONLY PLAYER EVER WHO COULD RUN HIS OWN GOAL OF THE MONTH/SEASON COMPETITION NO ONE IS EVEN CLOSE TO BEING AS GOOD GLENN HODDLE WANTED TO PAY £10M TO TAKE HIM TO CHELSEA WHICH WOULD OF SMASHED ALL RECORDS COMPLETELY COS THE RECORD THEN WAS ONLY ABOUT 3M THEN COS LE TISSIER WOULDN'T LEAVE SOUTHAMPTON BIBLE BASHING GLENN GOT HIS OWN BACK BY NOT PICKING HIM FOR ENGLAND COS WHAT OTHER REASON COULD THERE BE TO RATE SOMEONE AT £10M THEN NOT PICK THEM

  • If he was at United or someone 'big' he probably would've earned more England caps. As it was, he was almost 'punished' for his loyalty to his local boyhood team. And obviously that came very much at the expense of the England team itself. If he was Brazilian he would've been a regular in their team, and probably their number 10!

  • Never understood why this awesome player did not played internationally for England.

  • 6:16 lobbing Peter Schmeichel in a 6-3 mauling by Southampton, still have the highlights on VHS.

  • I'm not even a supporter of any british team

but when I saw the famous vid top 100 goals in PL

I said this man Le Tissier is a fuckin' legend...

Why the fuck Beckham goal on the top...

These goals are better that it by billions times...

    fuck their rating...

  • 3:50 What a fucking goal. If only England harnessed the natural talents of the likes of Le Tiss and Scholes instead of going for power and pace every time.

  • england's 90's footbal, love it!

  • Matthew le Nose :-)

  • 1st goal = last ever goal at The dell - how fitting could it be! Defeated Arsenal 3-2!

  • Witch pixel is Le God?

  • @blyrio lol

  • Le Tissier & Shearer are the greatest English players to play in the Premier League ever Shearer for goals Le Tissier for technique and both for PENALTIES!

  • The difference between Zidane and Le Tissier? - the first one was lucky.

No disrespect to the saints, but had Le Tissier played for Barca or Real he would have been the greatest player ever. As it is, I vote for Zidane.

Le Tissier though, is a LEGEND. What a player!

  • Most Underated Player in the history of football

  • @95wms the best thing anyone has ever said - spot on!

  • Le God

  • simply the best?!

  • 16 persons thinks justin bieber can do the same.. amazing!

  • And not a stepover in sight!!

  • G E N I U S

Better than Gazza, Pele, Best, Cruyff, Maradona, Messi, Dalglish, Scholes, Kinkladze (i'm a Man City fan) - sublime, unique, supremely gifted -brought a lot of joy to a lot of ppl regardless of their team affiliation, awe-inspiring -even when he had quiet games his talent stood out - & amongst class players! - most gifted player of all time imo..a TRUE legend....i think Hoddle was jealous of him b/c he out-Hoddled him & out-Waddled Waddle too (who was a brilliant player)

  • @TheGambler666 .lol supertalented \? of course he was, amazing player.betetr than cruijff, maradona, best?not a chance,

  • @laudrup90 B L A S P H E M E R ! ! !

he's the English Garrincha; easily the most naturally gifted player of his era and that caused jealousy - all that bollocks about low work rate when he simply conserved his energy b/c the game seemed to flow through him - Venables picked Dennis Wise FFS - England shudda built the team round both him and Gazza b/c they weren't incompatible, they'd've gelled nicely - we'd've won the world cup if his name'd been first on the team sheet

  • @TheGambler666 .im not saying he wasnt talented fool and he was easily the ebst player i the premier league and the world in his prime.the english garrincha?lol wow..no,no he wasnt.

  • @TheGambler666 .technique was brilliant but there were a lot of players woth that sort of technique around.bergkamp, rui costa, etc.stil brilliant european player.

  • @laudrup90 Bergkamp had a season at Arsenal when he shudda won world player of the year - far superior to George Weah

  • @TheGambler666 .yh but world player of the year means nothing.also at that time seriea was a much betetr keague than the premier league so that was in its favour is well. half the itme the award is wrong. henry shuld have won it in 2004 nt ronaldinho, pavel nedved in 2003 not zidane, defnot cannavro in 2006 lol.

  • @TheGambler666 .also how on earth can you possibly have said that le tissier was beter than maradona?lol. like i siad one of the most talented and technique gifted european players ive seen and extremeley underrated.a lot fo players it he 90s were underrated because the mass media didnt exist like it does not. for example you watch this and then reliase that cronaldo really isnt that special whatsoever when he losing the ball every 5 seconds.

  • @TheGambler666 .actualy im wrong. he was far,far better than i going on about lol.cant believe he only got 6 cpas for england?

  • @laudrup90 8 caps

  • Even though he plagued the Villa over the years I loved this man. A ridiculous natural talent.

His equal will never be seen in that division.

  • Jedi.

  • This bloke was awesome and very underrated.

  • the goals are great and the player is awesome but you could have shove the shitty music up your ass. This is just noise that prevents for enjoying the goals ...

  • best english footballer of all time. young michael owen would be close

  • Best I have ever seen.

  • i remember le tiss talking about the first goal again newcastle, he really downplayed it, saying he "didnt get clean contact".... well clean contact by his standards. Total legend

    COYR

  • He was so skillful! If only he wasn't so lazy he would have been the one of the best players ever.

  • Awesome video quality.

  • I honestly can't remember ever seeing a MOTD goal of the month competition that he didn't feature in, he was such a regular. Every goal he scored seemed to be spectacular.

  • even pele said"thankyoui england for not playing le tissier"when facing brasil, footballing crime of the century

  • Shame about the poor quality video, but what a player. I was lucky to see him plat a few time's at Anfield

  • tell me any player past or pesent with a better compilation of goals he even has a video taking on great players lol, they didnt stand a chance.

  • @focussss1 the only player with a better goal compilation would be roberto carlos, but le tissier def has more of em

  • matt le tissier made shooting look effortless...seriously sometimes the guy didnt even look like he was bothered

  • I'm from Spain and I thought here played the best player ever (Zidane, C.Ronaldo, Messi,Figo, etc) but Le Tissier... I would say he could be better than them!!!

  • its a real pleasure to watch these goals. unfortunately he kept playing for southhampton, so he couldnt show his scoring skills in the champions league. would have loved to see him abasing kahn, toldo, schmeichel(again) and so on..

  • @lvl10AM but he was dedicated to southampton and thats a true player just like scott parker is for west ham now. they bleed the club and are loyal. only once and a while a player like this comes along and southampton were lucky to have him :-). Still Le God today :)

  • amazing, no speed, no useless stepovers but can esily ruh through defences

  • Newcastle must have been sick of the sight of him :-)

  • @calneeagle We were, le tissier was ridiculous! Every goal that guy scored was better than i can do on pro evo.

  • @thejman84

    ;))) you´re right... hehe

  • amazing footballskills!! what a footballplayer

  • how he only got 8 caps for england still baffles me!

  • @matthewh37 Whats more baffling is that Emile Heskey has 62 caps!!

  • @matthewh37 EXACTLY HE WAS THE GREATEST EVER FOOTBALLER IN THE WORLD OUT OF ANY ERA MESSI RONALDO ETC AREN'T TO FIT TO LACE HIS BOOTS

  • @matthewh37 No surprising given some of the parade of tossers we've had as England manager ( Sir Bobby Robson excepted RIP)

  • Most player having such goal can only do once or twice through out thier whole career, but god...he did it dozens!

  • Totally underrated. His natural talent is just ridiculous. You cannot teach or learn that..

  • i don't like english football to much or their overrated players...

but matt le tissier is a god...

pure genius, simply the best english player of all time, no doubt about it...

he should be up there with zidane, van basten, maradona and the other masters of football...

    ;)

  • Matthew le pâtissier? ah ah ah ah

  • Just the finest ball touch I've ever seen. He's a world class ball driver.

  • One of the most purest, brillant, shining yet wasted talent ever existed.

I'm sorry for the english ppl 'cuz they could have enjoyed the best midfielder ever.

  • Let the ball do the work.

  • Just «met», or «knew» about Le Tisser's talent about a year ago, some ESPN game, but this guy is really great! Amazing! Congrats, mate! Bimbosfera blogspt com Cheers from Portugal

  • pure genious, class, talent, skills- the only think he lacked was pace but let be honest with his ability doesn't really fucking need it, he can just walk past people with just pure skills.

  • england needs another le tissier and make him a starter in the england lineup!! dumb old english managers of not picking him for competitions

  • 'His talent was simply out of the norm. He could simply dribble past seven or eight players but without speed - he just walked past them. For me he was sensational'

    Xavi- 2010

Considering Xavi is said to be one of the best players in the world, that speaks volumes of how brilliant and underrated Le Tiss really was.

  • @ozza33 genius,

  • @ozza33 yes, i agree. amazing player, 20 goals a seaon from midfield in a terrible team...xavi is right..

  • I have so much respect for this guy because he stayed loyal to southampton who wernt winning anything, not like players today who just move for money, wheres the loyalty? And also when he was given no justice for england he didnt get the call ups he deserved, that makes me sad and he never complained about it, he just got on with it! Im adding this video to my favourites out of respect, thanks for upload! thumbs up!

  • damn, I wish someone could clean up the video and make it sharper! Amazing player, and he did it all without speed. If he was playing in the Premier League now he would probably be run over by players charging up and down the pitch, booting long balls and chasing after them. Exciting? Yes. Skillful? No. I know which I would rather watch!

  • @shewaits13 Better quality:

    /watch?v=XAjgL0YIXUg

  • one of the best players ever

  • Ronaldinho

    Van der vaart

    Le tissier

    Mágico González

  • porque no dio el salto a un grande este gran jugador ?

  • I don´t think you will find a more outstanding collection of goals by one player - ever! And he seems like a nice bloke to boot. Cheers mi Dears!

  • This guy really is amazing, I've never seen someone with this kind of precision. One time ability is scary

  • The most impressive thing is that this was done with balls used in the 90's...regular old leather balls and no fancy, swerving, make Ronaldo look better than he really is new style footballs. These were plain leather, filled with air, weighed more than the ones nowadays and swerved far less. I'd love to see what he could do with the ones the overpaid players use now.

  • only ever missed 1 penalty kick in his career - converted the other 48. what a legend.

  • 5:47-5:49 WTF LOL

  • He only won 8 caps for England. Its no wonder we have no technical players.

  • england should have built a team around him used to love watching him

    EYYYYY britisch people!!!!!!

why isn´t a player like tissier in the national team a star???

i cant understand that they give him only 8 games to play...

im from germany, but he is my idol

  • what the hell was hoddle thinking in taking someone like David batty instead of this legend to the world cup 98. England would of been class with this guy.

  • @lushkins

TBH Le Tissier was past his best by the time the 98 world cup came around....still decent, but past it...

  • @supahdupahguy81

ok but what about euro '92 and '96? I mean...Le Tissier=8 caps, Heskey=62 caps?? Different roles and years I know...but still! No wonder England were terrible for most of the 90's.

  • @giopiso

    I hear what you're saying...i agree.

The trouble with England is that we have a negative attitude towards the game & seem to have a big problem with using a "traditional no 10'" or a playmaker....Gascoigne + a ball winner would have always been the preferred option over picking Le Tissier b'coz it slots into a 4-4-2 easier than someone like le tiss...gazza was more of a "normal" midfielder in style & would do the hard work while le tiss probably wouldn't have.

  • @giopiso They're own worst enemies.

  • It's only a shame that he didn't get the chance to play for a bigger club.

  • @Abramis93 He was offered the chance to play for bigger clubs like Spurs and Chelsea but he chose to remain loyal to the Saints. It's not a shame, because that's what he wanted.

  • @Abramis93 It may have been a shame for the rest of the world, but not for us :o)

    Up the Saints!!!!

  • just a normal man with unbelievable talent, he's different to so many players who only seem to be at good clubs because of their physical attributes

  • Absolute legend according to Xavi!!!!

  • In the 93-94, at his peak, Le Tissier...from midfield...scored 30 goals...in the top division...for Southampton!! That's un-fucking-believable!! I mean, people talk about how Ronaldo got 40 in his penultimate season for Man U, but that's the point, he's playing for Man U, and he's a winger. Le Tissier was such a "could've been..."

  • I watched le god play and used to work for him too .he was just one of a kind .

  • Fat Le Tissier was a great player in his time

  • he was a good player. always scored against newcastle the git lol

  • i've met him... awesome football player.

  • legend

  • surly teh most underrated player ever. i only got to know about him few mins. before when i read an interview of Xavi where he said that M.le tissier is his idol and i knew this man has got to be something special if he is Xavi's idol. but he is more than special.

teh last goal he scores in this video is legendary. peforming teh back heel to bring teh ball to infront is just out of this world, only ronaldino, maradona, ronaldo, zidane or messi would dare to do something like that. LEGEND!

  • It's hilarious, we breed players like Barnes, Le Tissier and instead play the likes of Anderton. :\

  • @Christoffski

    :/

I take your point...but Anderton was good....

u should have said Stuart Ripley or someone...

  • @supahdupahguy81 I'd have been amazed if anyone remembered Ripley and though Anderton was good, I feel we had players who were better at unlocking defences. Anderton had moments, but he never really imposed himself as much as he could have. There are of course others who never got a fair stab. Kevin Phillips anyone? He was on fire.

  • I wish i Was around to see him, damn my D.O.B

  • dell hero...

  • amazing player. scored 20 goals a season from midfiled in a team, who lets be honest, were poor. if beckham, cantona etc scored even one of those goals, theyd be played over and over, the blackburn away goal was just genius..how he never went to world cup was ludicrous, geoff thomas got more caps for gods sake....

  • I remember seeing him at the start of a game. Everybody was ready to kickoff and he was scratching his balls and yawning!

    Absolute legend.

  • one of the best player ever

  • the best

  • The most talented player to have graced the premier league so far. How did he not win 50 caps for England?

  • @BasVegas1 Inept manager Graham Taylor refused to play players with skill or flair even Chris Waddle was not in the squad and he was footballer of the year in europe and had won the french league 3 times...anyhow Le god genius

  • @BasVegas1 because glenn hoddle is an utter twonk

  • @BasVegas1 because when he was at his peak so was paul gascoigne, a player extremely similar to matt in style, position and skill. a national football team can't have two players exactly the same. its for this same reason why steven gerrard and frank lampard have such difficulties playing together for england now. it might also be down the fact that he was loyal to southampton never accepting the advances of teams like united and chelsea.

  • @bigfatmude I think the England team should've made room for both. I do agree that his decision to stay at Southampton cost him caps, because the England manager often seems to be swayed by the media into picking players from 'big' clubs over better players from 'smaller' clubs. His casual style of play was also a factor I think. Gazza's effort could never be faulted, though it was sometimes over-enthusiastic and missplaced. Le Tissier's slow, sloping style was entirely different.

  • genius with the football, all u pompey fans who say he was shit!!!!! ava word with yourselfs!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • amazing, awesome, no words for this incredible player

  • Le Tissier as a midfielder got to be 10 times better than both Gerrard and Lampard.

  • dont talk wet ya tit head. when did ya ever see le tiss scoring in champs league finals, world cups or championship deciders? good player but not better than lamps or gerrard. he has more natural ability but was always 2 lazy 2 ever make the grade from good player 2 great, a shame really cos he could have made a big difference 4 england internationally

  • too true, makes u wonder why Le Tisse didn't get much of a run in the England side back in the 90s.. such a shame.. =(

  • How many caps - 11 or so. Fucking disgrace that players like P Neville and batty were chosen ahead of this genius. same happening to Joe Cole. When will we learn that you do not win any international tournament without these special players.

  • perhaps england wanted him to play much more but rejected because he was loyal for his club team? I believe he was so loyal that he didn't want to play for england anymore. As a player you aren't forced to play. You can make your choices. Le Tissier is a great player!!!

  • The two goals at

    5.52

    and

    6.02

    i am lost for words

But the best goal in my opinion was the lob over the SCUM at

    6.22

    NICE ONE

  • Could watch this guy all day. Genius is the word.

  • Natural Talent at its best!! with a bit more motorvation he could have been very very special

  • good vid

BUT WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE TO PUT MUSIC OVER THE TOP OF IT

  • Le Tissier flies under the radar and is tragically,I believe, destined to never get the recognition and hype that players like Scholes,Cantona,Viera etc.. have gotten. People sometimes talk about that great Owen goal in the 1998 world cup or John Barnes great goal against Brazil, but Le Tissier has a sock-drawer full of these type goals and the swagger and natural ease with which he scores them are one-of-a-kind. I'm not a Saints fan,I'm not even English,(am Irish) but I just applaud true genuis

  • @lalanaseminole le tissier was a genius..he was scoring 20 times a season while playing for one of the worst clubs in the division..and he wasnt even a striker!

  • FernandoTorres's post gives clues that he didn't even know about this player until recently (I may be mistaken). But if this is true it does not surprise me and not his fault at all. It is as I feared tragic and sad that because he played damn all for country and at a low-profile club, only fans of his generation really remember him.He is not remembered for the truly world class exceptional talent he was.People go on about Best,Maradonna and Pele, and they DID INDEED score magnificient goals, but

  • All these goals are the same.......did he really do this week in week out.

Its making me wish I was born ten years earlier.

  • @FernardoTorres9 the man was pure talent pal, i was only young but i rem seeing him at the dell, he was summit else

  • @FernardoTorres9 I used to look forward to Southampton on MoTD simply because of this guy. He kept them in the league year after year regularly knocking in 10-20 goals a season from midfield.

Somebody once made a point it's no wonder England are crap at international level... Heskey 50+ caps, Le Tissier 8 caps. Enough said.

  • @FernardoTorres9 Aye. When people say he didn't know how to score a boring goal, they're not joking. I think he's the only chap to end up with 3 or 4 goals in the same Goal of the Season vote.

  • le unbelievable

  • 5:47 is just ridiculously nonchalant and the reaction is hilarious - it's as if the other team just expected him to pass the ball in from 35 yards out.

One of the most gifted England players of all time IMO.

Just glad I was around to see most of his career - what a pleasure it was.

  • How come they dun dribble past players like Matt anymore?

  • Whats all this pompey crap doing on here?/

  • I was 9 years old when I started going to the Dell and watching this pure genius I used to go home and try and reenact his goals up against my garage! People on here are asking why he didn't leave, he was a Saints supporter at heart, we would all love to play for our team but not many would say no to the big money, he did because his club was more important, I personally thank you Matt Le Tissier for showing the world how you score special goals and it was at my club! Come on you Reds!

  • you mean..... Come on you "Saints?"

  • Comment removed

  • "we are skint, shit and proud. "

    I agree,except for the "proud" bit !

  • @adventussaxonum

I'll always be proud of Pompey FC. Whatever league we are in it's always going to be the number one thing in my life. Pompey will never die.

  • Just technically gifted

  • England's Ariel Ortega

  • un grande

  • che giocatore!

  • to KOMATO3O

Это Franz Ferdinand - Take me out

  • This is art!!!!!

  • Probably one of the most talented footballers of all time!!!!
