@cyberzoom828 I made them. They're a part of the video. Search our channel for "how to make interactive videos" to see the tutorial on how to do that.
Great ideas Tim! I tried doing this, but somehow I got put on a Forum Block Spam list hahaha. I got it overturned and I'm able to post on forums again, but it goes to show that some people think you're just spamming anyways. I recently started finding different blogs to post to, and I've even submitted my YouTube RSS feed to numerous sites. Keep up the great work!
@MichaelWarbux Yeah, you really need to engage first on a forum because usually everyone can see your post count. If you only have 10 posts or so and then you start pushing your own content, you'll get hit up as a spammer pretty quick. haha
I find that regular "ego searches" on google (in my case i use 'mantic59', 'shavetutor', and 'sharpologist' will turn up references in the most unlikely places (blogs & forums that have nothing to do with my niche') that you can build upon. I've gotten significant traffic from places like somethingawful, offtopic, bodybuilding, etc. (all '.com').
@mantic59 Yeah, cool, that helps you build relationships with people who are already saying they value your stuff enough to post it, right? That's a great idea!
Hi Tim, Great stuff. I JUST started more video email. I place a graphic (including a screen capture of one of the frames) in the body of an email and hyperlink it to the video on YouTube. The graphic has a Play button on it so they know it's a video even if they don't read my intro.
I send this to my email list and they LOVE it. It's only 1 video so they're not overwhelmed. They already know me so they click when topic is relevant. Views jump to at least 300 each w/in couple of days.
@digitalbreakthroughs Yeah, good idea! You could also use your channel's RSS feed to create an RSS to Email campaign to automatically email new videos to your email list, as well. I should make a Creator's Tip video about that. Thanks for the idea!
@reelseo Cool. Consider this point: I like to pace what my private listers get (I'm also sending them training announcements, computer tips in regular email as autoresponders, etc.) so I wouldn't make this automatic.
I did create a QR code that links to my RSS feed. I put it on my channel background and it's in my enewsletter...figuring out what else to do with it.
Are the icon Thumbnails in your Annotations provided by YouTube or did you make them?
