If you were to build go karts bikes ext , what kind of tube or pipe would you use,, where would get it from, like cheap any advice would be great, just learning ti mig weld or mess weld thanks later
I notched an entire offroad chassis with 2 holesaws on a JD2 notchmaster. This was with lennox bi metal holesaws. I probably had over 100 notches and renotches for tig welded fit. This was all 4130 chromoly tubing.
What? That's not pipe, it's callee tube. The "sleeve" with the threads, that's pipe. The metal you were cutting is called tube. Read up on your terms before doing your next video
Also, you mention using exhaust pipe? Why? Is weight really that much of a concern to compromise your safety? If that "gusset" bends in an accident, you may end up in a world of hurt, or dead, having your cage collapse on you because you wanted to save weight and skip corners
As long as circumference of the grinding wheel is the same as the pipe you are working on. Or at least close. They do make jigs for drill presses. As far as what your discribing, I really do not see any problems with that method.
I sharpen my hole saws on a belt sander. I just do them by eye and they seem to cut like new afterward.
