Paul, you are the most awesome man in the world, there's a reason why i listen to you and shun all the pop crap, you had more energy and still do 2day
Press? Sure thing Macca - I pressed alright - I PRESSED STOP. What a shitty song!!! Nice dance moves. God I was happy when the 80's ended, such a disaster for music.
@TheBobohj At the urging of Elvis Costello. When doing the music video for My Brave Face, Elvis told Paul that he should use the Hofner because it was so iconic. The last time he used it was for the Coming Up music video for his "Beatle Paul" character in the electronically generated "band". When Paul went on his 1989-90 world tour, he used a replica Hofner with updated electronics. Now, Hofner makes a new violin bass for him every few years or so.
He was approx. 44 at the time. Lennon and Starkey were born in '40. Sir P was born in '42. But, yeah, he was lookin' pretty good...and still does for his age.
,is he saying "Oklahoma was never like this" ?, I thought this song came out in 89 on the My brave Face album, in the video he is walking around in a subway.
Not the "brave face" album but the one before "Press to Play" from 86. You're right about the subway video though... Never saw this before. Wonder where it's from.
As for Okalahoma, you're right again but Have no Idea what it means.... even though I heard him discuss it a couple of times?!?
I did not realize this video was in Studio 2. Awesome.

The single from the album and weak! Why this tune for a single? It was an album he was trying to change his sound with. But failed.

It's very "Level 42" sounding, .. isn't it??!
More 80's pop sounding than I recall..
This song definitely helped relieve a few minutes of that CRAPPY puberty stage..
I was around 12 or 13 when this came out!! :)

Like 80 Sound ! Pretty fruity keyboards ! When i thirst heard this tune, it was 1987. Inspiring feeling !
Poliotas 3 years ago 3
Like the song....hate the 80's sound. Paul should re-record with heavier guitars and without those fruity keyboards (and with real drums).
