  • Not sure why you would want to sacrifice a good back mount position for the half guard!

  • @iain9876 This is just an excersise form. Beginners i make familiar with the leg trap, because of preventing points. Later they get explained back mount, so with the shown excersise they start get familiar with both. Please notice the difference to bjj, were halfguard is not a beginners game, for JJIF i can easiliy suvive for 20-30 seconds in this position. Different rules, different strategies
