What I heard, and it was all in jest, was that Axelrod was one of three people that were consulted regarding a name for the dog and when Sagal asked who the other two were that were consulted, Axelrod said, Miss California. OReilly makes it sound like Miss California was suggested as a name for the dog instead of Miss California was one of three consulted to name the dog.
