it bugs me how there are girls swimming so close to his back legs. even tho he is in water and it would be hard for him to buck, they shouldnt go so close to his rear end
To all you who are hating on this, swimming is actually good for horses as it works their muscles. PLus, it`s very rare for a horse to drown as they are very good swimmers due to their strong legs.
they're not forcing the horse to go swimming. the man is just holding its reins to keep them from getting tangled in the horses feet while its kicking. its happened, and the outcome is VERY bad (as in the horse could drown)
in my opinion horses are not meant to be pets they were put on earth to run wild and free not be a child's play pet not to mention someone could get seriously hurt horses can sometimes be unpredictable and do things you wouldn't expect especially on water i would watch out and treat the horse with a little more respect

ok, i loved the vid seriously i did, ive tried this with my own horse, riding in water in mean. but it doesnt seem that fair on the horse with a man dragging it into deeper and deeper water, and little girls pulling it in every direction, jumping on and off its back.
If any of you guys have ever tried to pick up somebody in the water they are a lot lighter than when you try and pick them up out of what.... and personally it is none of any of yours business and that horse looks like its having fun so..... YOU ALL NEED TO CHILL....... Thank you :-)

dont sit on them when out very deep as i have seen what happens this and the horse started to drown u need to pull like hell to get the horse back to the surface

Guy's if you look closely you can tell the horse has it's shoes on, (for all of you sassy nitwits, I mean horse shoes, steel horse shoes -.-) So the rocks wouldn't damage it's hooves that way. That's like saying "That horse shouldn't walk on gravel, it's cruel". Second of all, Horses have good body strength(even more than a human.) and are capable of swimming with a rider on it's back. Swimming is a great muscle building exercise for them, also I think it's fairly good for a lame horse as it takes the weight off their feet. I don't like how the horse is seemingly being piled on and crowded by a few people at a time whilst swimming, but the horse seems to be enjoying it :) She follows back into the water without any hassle, if a horse doesn't want to do something or dislikes something, they won't do it that easily, horsey people should know that!

What the? How is this cruel to the horse? Horses are fantastically athletic and in the water you are virtually weightless so I don't see how tiny little girls riding the horse are affecting it at all. The only I worry about in the underwater sections is those rocks the horse cannot see them but looks like fun in all other aspects!

@MDPurpleStripedHorse I know they're great swimmers.I didn't get to finish below, but please people with horses, do some research into horse shoes. That's the quickest way to lame a horse. They can't feel their feet after you hammer iron that doesn't flex. The hoof is the biggest blood pumping mechanism in/on a horses body. I have cured many horses who were lamed by taking the shoes off of them and putting them in a natural trim.Happy to share info with anyone who writes.
@MDPurpleStripedHorse there was a horse at my barn that the owner always found in the other feild confused he sat there one day and watch makking sure all the fences were fine etc. he got in the pong the to feild share and swam put his head under water then would pop it out on the other side and get out of the pond.

I am one of the jealous ones! I can barely get my horse to cross a puddle! That horse was very happy and clearly enjoying the fun. His ears are forward and he is very graceful.

Horses naturally swim, just because they don't live in the water doesn't mean its cruel to ask them to swim. When you lead a horse to water not only cannot you not make it drink, you also can't make it swim. :D

Horses are made of 100% pure muscle and probably if they hit rocks they would break them in pieces. As regards swimming they adore it specially in hot climate, they go crazy to jump in water.

What the? How is this cruel to the horse? Horses are fantastically athletic and in the water you are virtually weightless so I don't see how tiny little girls riding the horse are affecting it at all. The only I worry about in the underwater sections is those rocks the horse cannot see them but looks like fun in all other aspects!

The horse is totally fine, my dad is a lot bigger than be and I could stand with perfect balance holding him on one side in the water and stay up while holding him. This horse is totally fine. Chill.

@MDPurpleStripedHorse I know they're great swimmers.I didn't get to finish below, but please people with horses, do some research into horse shoes. That's the quickest way to lame a horse. They can't feel their feet after you hammer iron that doesn't flex. The hoof is the biggest blood pumping mechanism in/on a horses body. I have cured many horses who were lamed by taking the shoes off of them and putting them in a natural trim.Happy to share info with anyone who writes.

@MDPurpleStripedHorse there was a horse at my barn that the owner always found in the other feild confused he sat there one day and watch makking sure all the fences were fine etc. he got in the pong the to feild share and swam put his head under water then would pop it out on the other side and get out of the pond.

HAHA my horse LOVES swimming. If im by the pond and give him his head, he ll run and JUMP into the water and swim and stick his head under and snort in the water and roll around. Im 21 years old and i weigh more than 50 lbs and my horse has absolutely no troubles carrying me thru the water with me on his back. Wed swim for HOURS

Fuck you all, this isnt even CLOSE to animal cruelty/abuse. If the horse didnt like it, im sure it would be bucking and rearing before it got in the water, it actually seems quite soothing and fun! The horse has places to stand, and take a break, and its in water where it will keep the horse cooled off. Not like anything going to happen, I mean really? I bet half of the people who say this is animal cruelty just never done it, which concludes, you think its animal cruelty, which its not.

This video shows a totally relaxed horse. It is so gentle to the kids...if this would be animal cruelty, the horse would show fear in its eyes. In my opinion this is a cute video. The children treat the horse right and do not sit on its back when it swims! They love their horse, take care for it and have fun :)
