Ballet dancer here who loves the waltz 3/4 tempo. This version sucks compared to Karen Carpenter's version. Tempo is too slow, not sweeping and flowing. Frank's voice is not ideal for "gleeful" type xmax songs.

Started listening to "Ole Blue Eyes" at the age of 8 and 30 years later my 8 year old daughter is hooked. Just goes to show you that his vocals and music will last through generations.

Very beautiful song. I love the way Frank sings this. TBH, Peggy Lee's rendition is also great; she sings it rather like a love lament. Someone commented that there's something sort of melancholy about Frank's version. And I agree. The emotion is the same as September Song imho.
