@Amotaraso They didnt split however your partly right. In the summer on 1978 Punkrock Social Distortion was born. Ever since then the band has evolved and has gone through several line up changes. Compare the songs "All the answers" and "Footprints on my ceiling" and you'll see that the Social Distortion that once was is waaaay different from the S.D now.
