The 2011 Mariners should have featured Edaurdo Nunez at SS, Ivan Nova Pitching, & Jesus Montero at Catcher(or DH), But NOOOO, they decided to trade Cliff Lee IN THEIR OWN DIVISION for Justin Smoak(who is just ONE man, btw, not THREE)! When you're run by COMPLETE MORONS, you'll NEVER win a ring

@mst3k54 I'm so happy that didn't happen. Nova's been unreal, Nunez has been huge filling in for injured Jeter and Arod, and Montero looks like the real deal.

Would've been a waste to have Cliff Lee for 3 months and give away our future. It's about time The Yankees held on to their young talent, and it's paid off this year

@BDizDaBest Oh my god your ignorance astounds me. If you knew anything about the Mariners minor league system then you would know that they have the talent to compete in 1-2 years. They are stacked with pitching (Paxton,Walker,Hultzen), have quality infielders (Franklin,Seager,Liddi) and just got Trayvon Robinson.

@ScottSherry93 If we trade Felix then we will be getting PROSPECTS. Theres a chance that NONE of those PROSPECTS will ever become a star or even a good player. Felix is ALREADY a superstar and he's only 25. He is the best player on the team. You don't get better by trading away all your best players.

@ScottSherry93 Yea but they are building and are acquiring young talent fast. And when the offense is good enough, i would like to have Felix there to propel the team. Remember Felix is still under contract for 3 more years. They still have time. When the young talent is ready for the major leagues then having Felix will makes all that much better. I understand why people want to trade him but Seattle isn't a small market that has to ship away all it's talent.
