The exhausts people are putting on japanese cars seem to be taking from the idea of a sport car. We're not here to be loud and obnoxious and sound like we have a misfiring V8 (or a V10 with some of the exhausts people are making).
Lol this sounds nothing like a V8. V8 is definitely a more deep sound. I don't think I've ever heard anything sound quite as good as a V10 either. If you have ever seen a race with the old grand national cars then that is the sound I was going for. I wanted a clean sounding 6 cylinder vehicle that didn't crackle or become raspy all the way up to redline, which i feel like I have achieved.
do you have any problem after u installed d new exhaust setup ?? im thinking of changing mine.... just afraid of what d effect of changing d stock one..
Yea I knew a guy about an hour away that builds custom exhausts for hotrods so I drew up a blueprint of how I wanted it done and took it to them. I wouldve done it myself if I had a lift and stuff to weld.

Thanks man. Starting after the pre-catalytic converter there is a 3SX Custom Downpipe, off the end of that is a 3sx test tube to replace main catalytic converter, there is 3" piping from the test tube to a flowmaster 40 series muffler (single inlet dual outlet), from the outlets of the muffler there is custom 2.5" piping to two 45 degree slash cut flowmaster tips. The 2.5" piping had to be bent around the rear axel box and lined up with the slots on the back bumper. Hope that helps any.
yeah taht does help. so u know if the tips effect the sound at all? cuz i personally like the quad tip look and was probbly gana find sum new ones. Also did u notice any Difference in power of the car?? like did u lose any low end power? or get any power? srry about the questions. Just tryin to figure out was i want to do. How much 3" piping did u use to? or will that not really effect the overal sound
Nah I don't know if the tips make a difference. I also like the quad tip but I didn't feel like taking the time to find good looking ones that actually fit the slot in the bumper. As far as power, it felt like I actually gained a little low end power and also top end power. More top end than low end though. The only 3" piping that I used was from the test tube to the inlet of the muffler. I used a flange that went from 2.5" to 3" that went on the back of the test tube so the 3" piping would fit.

Mine is Cali-spec. The years for fedspec and calispec are 90-93 for fedspec, 96+ for calispec, and 94-95 are a mix of both. Ill check on the blueprint for you, it should be around my house somewhere. If it isn't then I will just draw up a new one.
Yea it is dual. I am in the garage so the lighting on my old camera makes it look like one. I have the car in the shop right now and once I get it out I am heading up to the parkway to make a new video. I will get a shot of what the tips look like and then rev it to redline so you all can hear how clean it sounds all the way to the top.
Hey all ill post a new video soon of a higher rev, takeoff, and inside the vehicle. I just need to find time to get up on the parkway so i can open it up without the neighbors getting mad lol.

@ken6ny9 there are no emissions tests in the state of Virginia as of right now, which is why mine passed emissions :).

This video it just has 3sx performance engine mounts. The other video it has the K&N FIPK installed and made it a little louder.

All together it was around 800 dollars. If you know how to weld, clamp, and have a car lift you could probably do it for 400.

I would say probably about 3 ft. of 3" piping in between the test tube and inlet of the muffler.

Did it all at once. Came across some money and decided to go ahead and do it lol. Made a blueprint of how I wanted it set up and went at it.
