@andywhorehall Exactly, that's what I'm talking about.. Also, Brandon had Bruce's Gene in him, I mean we're talking about the God Almighty Bruce Freaking Lee!!! I was watching Rapid Fire last night and I was so pissed and upset still of his death 18 yrs ago... He had so much to give, so much!!!
@andywhorehall, I completely support you saying that. they are simply different in everything. there are no reasons to generalize them. except for their deaths on age of 28. that's all.
@KurtCobain198666 That was a pun/reference to the old Charlie Chan movies where he used to speak about 'number one son'. Bruce was actually up at one point for a role in a proposed TV seried which was due to be called just that! It never came to pass and that's when he developed the idea for the Kung Fu TV series.
andywhoreall, I agree. It just goes to show you how people don't truly seen beyond the surface. Two actors die several years apart during filming of movies in which their characters wear white makeup. That's it. Heath did a great job, and would've gone on to do many more, as I'm sure Brandon did. It's sad because Brandon just wanted to try so many other different genres but didn't get the chance.
brandon you were as charasmatic as were humble more people in the world been like you life would be so beautiful screwy but beautiful see you on the other side my friend we have missed you so much
As long as I know Bruce Lee didn't make Wing Chun famous. He didn't even completed the Wing Chun program. He only took some ideas from Wing Chun and other martial arts including Jiu-jitsu and Karate, and founded Jeet Kune Do.
Actually, they had something in common (opinion): Jokers role would have been Brandon's, if he were alive. Heath Ledger clearly imitated Brandon's interpretation of Eric Draven (the way he moves his head for example). You are so right.
I actually think that is really a good thing. It is cool how Brandon's influence lives on in other people's work. It was so sad to see him die at such a young age. Who knows what he would have went on to accomplish. I read that the Wachowski brothers wrote the role of Neo in The Matrix for Brandon years before when they started its development. Can you imagine how awesome that film would have been with Brandon as Neo? He was made for that role with his skills.
It's sad that father and son were so devoted to each other and one was taken to early in life and twenty years later so was the other. Still, I believe they're both in peace and hope they're reunited as they used to be.
Wow! What a great guy Brandon Lee was. He was so gracious and humble with the reporter, even when the guy was acting like a dork. He had class and great character.
When Bruce died, I was at that time studying both Tae Kwon Do and Judo. His death hit me hard... took me a long time to get over it. When Brandon died, all I could do was weep. Such sincere men. So devoted to both acting and the martial arts. Truly epic losses, both. And Brandon was going to rule the world, just like his dad a generation before. Brandon was going to be the # 1 box office pull with his charisma, charm, good looks and downright badassness.
I stood at his grave in Seattle. It was sad but peaceful. I really wish he could have gone on to be the star he should have.....of course I realize I could leave the same comment about his dad.
I was in high school when that happened. My mom was working at the hospital when they brought him in. My old JKD instructor got a copy of his death certificate. It was so very sad.
I thought it was funny when Brandon said he was never able to replicate Bruce's famous battle cries. "Waaaah!" Think Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat or Fei Long from Street Fighter.
this guy would have been so spectacular to watch, and his level of mastery would have just continued to improve. i really wished ilived in a universe where one if not both of the Lees where still alive. how huge would that be? how much of an effect in ways we dont understand would them being alive have? look deep inside and what feeling does that possibility give you? then tell me how its just coincedence that they both died extremely young
I completely agree with that. It really tears me up. Brandon is fully responsible for my passion for acting. I was three years ol when I saw The Crow and it only took watching it twice before I had it fully memorized. When my mom told me he was dead, I was deeply saddened and i cried. I'm 16 now and I just find it awfully suspicious how both he and his father died. I really miss Brandon.
@runelord37 I understand your respect for sifu lee however we the knowledge is within you. There are those still here that can teach you enlightenment, such as me.
