  • feedback from entwhisles bass at .13 sec fucking awsome

  • anyone notice how long this video is? haha

  • KEITH MOON - RIP I fuckin doubt it - Keith will be up there with John - the best rhythm section in heaven!

  • I have a question since everyone's talking about setlists.

On Live at Leeds. If all of Tommy comes after A Quick One, but before Summertime Blues. Why does Roger say "Number 13.. Magic Bus."?

That order doesn't make any sense to me.

  • pete's guitar tone at the end is amazing

  • Keith Moon was a man of no small ego about his drumming, but he was right.

  • if the who was a chick,i would bang her

  • which toe? i,d probably be willing to lose the 1 next to the little one. can i be asleep when they take it?(the toe that is)

  • i wana see the mdo Baby dont you do it live.

  • SO HARDCORE!- BTW i got the same guitar as pete!

  • lucky you!

  • is there a video of majic wheels at leeds

  • @liten48 no sorry mate, theres only about 4 mins of footage from live at leeds (ont youtube) from various hand cameras and so on, but out of all that footage magic bus isnt on it. :(

  • I love the crescendo where the sound of Johns bass feeds back and rings out with pete's univox superfuzz sound...... f##kin sick!!!!! LONG LIVE THE WHO

  • Dude! Your phone is ringing!!!

  • yeah lol i didn't notice until the vid was posted

  • @braddyboy82 .. ahah I thought u meant the neighbors.. THE MUSIC TOO LOUD XD!!!

  • the best band ever. the who kicked so much ass and its awesome that they did this and put a hard rock jamming section into this version. RIP KEITH AND JOHN

  • This version is awesome. But the Live at Leeds version is the best they ever did. It just kicked so much ass...

  • i watched this wholle dvd yesterday. the jamming is incredible johns bass playing was amazing along with keiths and petes.

probably the best concert dvd i have... great concert! horrible editing though

  • damn right. i want the dvd bad

  • @MikeBA10 you're better of with the CD, the live DVD is really edited and has parts cut out all through it. a bit dissapointing really. substitute, a ton of Tommy, and an epic verison of Naked Eye were cut out

  • @mullinator7 I dunno if you knew about this, but in the special edition DVD all of that is in

  • what year is this from?

  • 1970

  • The best part of this song that this video doesn't show is Pete throwing down his pedal angrily right after the song ends.

  • I still think you are wrong about the order of the songs in the concert//// I moved and lost the dvd... I miss watching it....they are great....Keith is allways my favorite/

  • haha. Thats funny at the very end it looks like pete hits keith's drumset. it was funny because keith moon gave him a weird glance like "what the hell?". the who rock! best band on the planet and forever will be.

  • I think it's because Moonie wasn't following his lead, which is pretty uncharacteristic.

  • Comment removed

  • haha. after the video ends he smashes the pedal that wasnt working properly.

  • this isn't even half way through their set at isle of wight.

  • it's their last song.

  • " listening to you" is their last song of the set. This is about halfway through. I had the concert of tape. They are great throughout.

  • sorry, but you're wrong.

If you read the song list from the album you can see that. It's the same structure as the Live at Leeds' one (though the last one had the order changed for the deluxe edition, as you can hear Pete saying at the begginning of Tommy something like that "What comes after the mini-opera [A Quick one while he's away, which is in the middle of the first disc] is of course the rock opera Thomas") and you can still read it on the text that comes with both of them (continues...)

  • I have the videotape from the concert...It doesnt seem edited out of order..I think you are wrong...either way it is a great performance.

  • wait a sec, I quote it from the Live at Leeds inlay, page 6 last paragraph (as I said, the setlist's structure was similar for the both of them, with tiny changes such as 'A quick one' and etc): "The tracks on Disc One of this newly extended version feature those songs performed at Leeds before and after Tommy, WHICH CAME BETWEEN 'A QUICK ONE' AND 'SUMMERTIME BLUES'. Unfortunatly, I've lost the inlay of the Isle of Wight CD, but the setlists' structures are the same.

  • yeah i have the dvd and they did edit it

  • that they only took a quick breath after playing the whole set that coposes tommy to start playing summertime blues and continue their set. Something like that. I have both albums here plus the Isle of Wight DVD, I should quote it, but I'm too lazy to look for it right now..

Anyway, the order found in the cd version fo the Isle of Wight is the correct order, contrary to the Live at Leeds' one (that also ended with Magic Bus, though Polydor put Tommy in other disc)

    Cheers!

    Long live rock 'n roll

  • where did you buy this dvd? please write back soon

  • Well, I bought it in Brazil, but It's the same dvd everywhere (at least in France is the same).

  • ok. im in the USA so it probably is the same. thanks

  • this isnt their last song.

  • Nothing in today's music can come within a million miles of this. This performance is pure power, like a finely tuned racing engine at it's peak.

  • agree totally. An amazing band in their absolute prime, before the 70's, money and drugs took the edge off.

plus credit to the filmmaker for capturing their raw essence.

    Brilliant all around.

  • the who can rock blow anyone off the stage these days! rip keith and john:(

  • its even more sad because keith and john were best friends

  • I think that toward the end of the song, Pete rams his guitar against Keith's drum kit...

  • 3:46 is the shit!!!!!!!!!

  • can't here the bass on this vid.

  • Woo dig the fringe jacket of Rogers... LOL... 70's fashion was always good for a laugh. On the other hand... Damn that Skeleton suit of John's. TOtal classic and always loved it. Cant believe so many people of the years bagged him for that suit. I always loved it .... Its was John's stlye al over he was the only one who could have ever pulled it off so well. Miss you John. And Keith's playing... Totally mind blowing as always.

  • "tired"?!?!?1?!? HELL NO! they're going nuts in this! listen to that harmonica and those drums!

this came right after Naked Eye. I would lose a toe to be there...

i mean honestly? Naked Eye into Magic Bus??? IS THAT NOT THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO MAN SINCE WOMEN?!?!?!

  • look at Keith's left hand at 4;04-4;10. unbelievable how he could lead in both directions...

  • !!Too Much MAGIC BUS!!

  • I bought a replica of the suit Pete Townsend is wearing.

    Rock on :)

  • Where?

  • It was on Ebay, a guy who used to play in a The Who coverband was selling it.

  • Nice I wan't one like Pete's and a skeleton suit like John's

  • I can't find anyplace that sells leather skeleton outfits like the one JE has. Ireally want one!

  • I dont think anyone cane lol Its so awesome!
